Lacked integrity

We found a 2019 Expedition Max online at Jim Hudson Cadillac in Columbia. My wife called and was told it was there and we could take a look. On the way to Columbia, we found out from the assigned salesman that the car was actually in the lot of the Jim Hudson Ford in Lexington. We took a look at it there and decided to proceed with the purchase knowing that it still needed serviced and detailed. We were told there would be a new headlight from an existing scratch and that the peeling rims would be fixed. We were paying with cash and so paid the deposit and were told the car would be delivered to our house 1 week later with a list of things to be fixed and detailed. My wife called that Friday and our salesman, Aaron, told us he was sick and hadn't been in the office all week- which is understandable. We checked back in the next week and were told the vehicle was ready. When my wife inquired specifically about the rims- we were told it would be another day or 2 for the tire guys to fix it. Then we get a call that the rims are not able to be fixed now and that there's other people who want the car as is. My husband reached back out to Aaron Bush the salesman and he answered the phone 3 times pretending he could not hear him, and then did not respond to his text message. I am writing to you to express my disappointment in the lack of integrity of our salesman and respresentation of Jim Hudson. We understand this was a used car and have realistic expectations but when we paid our deposit and signed the paperwork- we were promised that the headlight and rims would be fixed- neither of which were when the car was dropped off and the remaining portion was paid. Our salesman told us we could just peel the areas off the rims for a simple fix and buff out the scratch with some wax. After taking our car to a tire shop and calling multiple places- these rims need to be repainted- a $600 added expense and time commitment we originally did not expect. Truly- these rims should be an embarrassment to Jim Hudson as we drive around with our temporary tag. Ultimately- we want you to know that we will not buy or recommend Jim Hudson due to this poor experience. My wife bought a previous Lexus at Jim Hudson in Augusta in the past and had a great experience then. I am typically fine paying a little more money for good service, but when you don't do what you say you will do after a price and terms are negotiated and agreed upon, that is a lack of integrity and deceit. I'm really not sure if it was the salesman who was pushed by the manager to make empty promises or if it was the salesman being deceitful himself.

I cut you off

Talked to Ervin a salesman. We discussed price but nothing set in stone. Told him I’d be there the next day. Showed up and was treated very rudely and told I cut you off. I have text messages of our conversation and was ignored when I sent a message I was at the dealership and only saw the salesman after walking the lot then heading back into the building. Jim Hudson I will always remember the words “I cut you off” as a customer. Jim Hudson motto is “Experience it once and you’ll never forget” and that is 100% correct. I won’t forget getting “cut off” on the sidewalk to your front door of your Cadillac deadlership.

Wonderful experience..

Starting with initial phone call to set appointment, staff was very courteous and helpful. When I arrived at Dealership, staff delivered top A 1 customer service and made me feel at ease. Especially the young lady who set me up ( Samantha) I believe her name is and John the service technician who actually diagnosed my car. Both these two went above and beyond to assist me , were knowledgeable, and handled me with ultimate care and respect. When necessary, that particular GM Dealership will probably be the only location ( off Killian in Colombia SC) I?d take my car to. Wonderful experience!!!!

Poor experience

Was promised vehicle two days before it was ready. Then picked it up to find out they hadn't completed the job. No notice either.

Excellent Service!

My experience was excellent. There was a problem diagnosing the problem with my radio but I was notable to leave my car an extra day. All other repairs were excellent. Mr Goodwin in a ? Top Of The Line? service advisor.

Price gouging or just forgot about the customers?

I have purchased several cars from Mr. Hudson but recently when I went to discuss purchasing a 2022 GMC Truck, I was told Mr. Hudson added $2,500 to the cost and it was not negotiable. I think he forgot the customers that made them successful. I won't be back!

The addendum you are speaking of covers 5 year interior/exterior warranty, window tint, door guard, and pin striping. Most of our guests appreciate these features and they are standard on the vehicles we sell. I am sorry we were not able to meet in the middle to help get you into the perfect truck for you!

Best dealership in the South

I bought a 22 equinox. Got road asphalt on the tires, Jim Hudson, Cassidy, & service staff really blessed me didn't charge me anything. please visit them, I will buy my next car from Jim Hudson.. Thank you Cassidy
