Their terms are not agreeable

Honestly, I am not sure how these guys sell cars at all. Initially, I thought that all of the bad reviews were based on sour grapes....However, I tried my darnedest to buy a car and their terms are just not compatible with the standards of most car dealerships. Once we had agreed on a price (which really was just their listed price as they don't seem to negotiate and you should know that they have a $270 document fee to add on as well)....they wanted 100% payment before they would allow the car to undergo a pre purchase inspection which I was going to pay for. Prior reviewers complained that they are good are misrepresenting cars AND are not reliable for full refunds....so my comfort level was about nil for that plan. I counter offered to make a $500 down payment prior to the inspection and then if the car passed inspection, I would make full payment at pickup. The response was that they do not take down payments nor hold cars for buyers. So good on them if they can sell cars this way....but I felt it was important for you to know before wasting your time shopping with this group.

This is so false! We never require payment in full prior to an inspection. Also we only charge $260 documentation fee which at the time of your review it was only $230. Another example of you are lying to just try to damage a reputable company that has been in business for over 12+ years and ownership in the industry of over 30yrs.

Classic cars and GR Auto Gallery = Excellent

Chris and the Grand Rapids Auto Gallery are wonderful. I had little experience in acquiring a classic car and thought it would be difficult. I am pleased to say that Chris answered all my questions and the entire process move smoothly. If you are in the market for this type of car, I highly recommend GR Auto Gallery

BOUGHT A CAR BACK IN 2021 SIGHT-UNSEEN FROM THE TRAVERSE CITY LOCATION SINCE I WAS 4.5 HOURS AWAY. YOU'D THINK WHEN THE LISTING SAYS THE CAR NEEDS NOTHING THAT IT WOULD BE SOLID, MAYBE A COUPLE SMALLER ISSUES BUT NOTHING MAJOR. UNFORTUNATELY THIS DEALER SCAMMED ME REALLY BAD. I CURRENTLY HAVE $10,000 INTO FIXING MECHANICAL REPAIRS AND STILL AM NOT DONE. EITHER THE PEOPLE ARE VERY NEGLIGENTLY UNINTELLIGENT WITH VEHICLES OR KNOWINGLY SCAM PEOPLE. SEEMS TO BE A COMMON THEME WITH THIS COMPANY, JUST LOOK UP REVIEWS ON CARS.COM I AM IN $30,000 ON A VEHICLE THAT NEEDS ANOTHER 3-4K MINIMUM AND IS ONLY WORTH LOW 20S. BECAUSE OF BEING SCAMMED I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO START A BUSINESS BECAUSE OF THIS CAR NEEDING SO MUCH WORK AND BEING UNABLE TO SELL IT TO TRY TO CUT MY LOSSES. ALSO BUYBACK GUARANTEE THAT IS OFFERED IS ONLY FOR 3 DAYS AND 30 MILES OR LESS DRIVEN PLUS YOU ONLY GET 75% BACK. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS COMPANY. I JUST REACHED OUT BY EMAIL AND IF ANYTHING COMES OF IT I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW.

No record of any feedback from you. We always highly encourage a 3rd party inspection to protect yourself when buying a classic vehicle. We take over 100 pictures, videos and happy to answer any question a customer has and send additional pics, videos. Some people just don't care to do any due diligence and only care about price. No other classic car dealer offers any kind of buy back like we do.

I don't get the negative reviews on here. My experience was great from start to end. Communication and requested information was quick and top notch. I purchased my vehicle online and had the car picked up. The carrier was running way late and Cody stayed after hours to ensure my vehicle was picked up and loaded carefully.

Awoid Grauto

DISHONEST COMPANY!! GRAUTO CHEATED ME FOR HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY! GRAUTO SOLD ME 914 WITH HUGE RUST ISUES WITHOUT ANY INFORMATION WHATSOEVER PRIOR SALE!! AVOID GRAUTO!!

They made it plain I could not drive the vehicle unless

They made it plain I could not drive the vehicle unless we had agreed to a deal and also that they would not negotiate at all. They knew I had just driven 200 miles to view this vehicle. What a looser, general manager Commerce Twp.

We do not allow joy rides or test drives with people that are not realistic on their offers. There is no purpose to put a car on the road if your offer is $6k less then are asking price.

B.S. how many people take a day and a 400 mile round trip for a joy ride. I’m 81 years old. The car had to be jump started to boot. Asking for a drive is realistic, this manager had all the charisma of a mute. What a waste. Thumbs down to this dealership.
