Our experience was mixed.

This was a mixed experience, at best. The positive is Michael’s carries nice cars, and we did complete a transaction to buy a good one from them. The cons: 1) When we arrived to look at the car, after first confirming the price on the phone, the sales rep informed us that price would be $2,000 higher unless we traded our car in and bought financing from Michaels. We protested vigorously about “bait-and-switch” until the owner came over and, after discussion, agreed to the posted price. They offered us $500 for our used car, but instead I sold it in 24 hours on Craigslist for $4420. 2) Paying for the car was a challenge, because the dealer did not want to pay a $60 wire transaction fee at his bank, and we did not have $32K in cash. 3) While we waited overnight for the wire transaction to clear, the staff balked at giving us copies of all the forms we signed! They relented after protest. 4) The car, which they had bought from a dealer in NY with 32 miles on it, only came with one key. When I asked for a second key, they gave me a business card from a local locksmith, who quoted me $300 for a duplicate key. 5) Three weeks after we paid for the car, Michaels still had not registered the car in our name in FL. I called to follow up and Michaels told me the dealer had 30 days by law, and they subsequently completed the registration and informed me when it was completed. Overall, we are happy with the car, yet the purchasing experience was a bit weird and uncomfortable. For us, it was 2.5 stars.

Michael, we understand you were not completely at ease during your car buying process with us and we are sad to hear that. We really do aim to be as transparent as possible and sometimes that can be misunderstood. We have been in business since 1995 and we are an A plus dealership. We sell cars nationwide but every state does transactions differently. On top of that the post COVID effects have been in play this year and we are just trying to adjust daily to stay afloat. I know our knowledgeable team tries to tackle every deal and the challenges to the best of their ability. I am sorry you did not find our services 5 stars. To address your concerns: Yes, there are rebates for trading a vehicle in or financing, this is typical in Florida. Further, some dealerships do not just charge the fee they are charged by banks but add some extra bucks! We prefer cashiers checks always but banks today charge fees even for cash handling so this is also typical. I am sorry you feel this way but we always take care of our customers as much as we can, if we have two keys we give it. We try to give you a discount on keys or parts with our business partners instead of charging you extra. Last, yes by law we have 30 to register the vehicle in FL, and it was done within that time. I must say overall we feel 2.5 stars is a bit harsh in today's world when ultimately you came to buy a car and you are happy with that car. Most of the logistics of buying a car are within the norms of today's changing car buying process. We wish you the best and are here if we can be of further assistance. We hope business practices can go back to pre-COVID times but until that happens we are all just trying to make it. Sincerely, Client Satisfaction Team

BUYER BEWARE. I went to the dealership looking to...

BUYER BEWARE. I went to the dealership looking to purchase a 2009 Cadillac CTS V. LET ME WARN YOU ALL. THEY HAVE TO RUN YOUR CREDIT AS PER THE FINANCE MANAGER BEFORE TEST DRIVES. WHY? "BECAUSE LOOK AT THE CARS I HAVE LIKE THE HELLCATS, BMWS. Etc.... " WOW!! I'm in my 50s not a teenager. I was told its in showroom condition before getting there. NOPE!!! It's not. Scratches front and rear and a plastic welded crack dead center of the rear bumper. I have pics if I could post them. What I wanted to do was trade in my car and drive off as it has confirmed $10k equity to roll into the new car loan and drive off as the dealer is almost 2 hours away. The sales guy who was helping me seemed to be a pretty genuine good guy. The finance guy on the other hand, not so much. After running my credit and checking various banks, I get told they can't get the car financed and that it has nothing to do with me or my credit. It's the cars year even though the value is there. So now he offered me $25k for my car when I showed him others in writing offering $27k. He claims I would get it back in tax credits and it would be a wash. They also ADD $799 in dealer fees. You mean pure profit fee. Next he wanted me to give him an additional $10k making it 20k now, to bring it where the bank would finance the car. OK, Ill just pay cash I said several times. But where words can change things so drastically is finance manager proceeds to tell me he wants my trade-in now so he can make more money (his own words) after I told him I would sell it and get the full $10k in equity. He then got very upset when I declined and said I would pay cash. Well not anymore. NO SALE! Now claims its a misunderstanding. Then four days later I get a private message from the sales guy asking if I did sell my vehicle which I told him yes. Then he proceeded to tell me oh well we could've gave you $3400 more today. Sure. The car has been sitting on the for sale sites for almost 50 days and he's going to claim now he's got a buyer willing to pay a $5k premium over the price originally. Bahahaha.

Slimy managers and looking for suckers.
