Dishonest

This dealership is extremely dishonest. I came to this dealership based on a promise on the phone by their salesman of a particular price on a specific car. The car was very clean and the test drive was excellent. When we sat down to discuss the deal they up the price by $ 1000 over what they promised to get me to come see the car. When asked why, they said they now had another buyer interested, and needed to get more, and I needed to decide immediately otherwise they would sell it to the other buyer. I wanted the car, and agreed when they took off $ 250. I had a car I needed to trade in, which they gave me a very low offer on- $ 7000 for a car with a wholesale kbb of $ 9000. They brought it up to $ 7500 and under pressure I agreed to the deal. After I drove home I made a couple calls and found out I could easily get $ 9000 selling it to numerous dealers. I called them back the same evening, and spoke to Johnny. I told him I wanted to come get my trade in back and would give him cash for the $ 7500. He said I had to talk to Jesse who he claimed went home, but he would make sure he would call me 1st thing in the morning. Jesse did NOT call. I called for him early in the afternoon, and he told me he was sorry but my car had already been taken to auction. I told him I did not believe him and asked him to prove it. He said there was no way to prove it but it was gone. I had him transfer me to Jonny, who would not answer my question directly, but only would say the deal was done. He did ultimately admit they low balled the trade because it was his job to make as much money as possible on every deal, which is fair, but the dishonesty throughout the process is not! My only recourse would have been to void the entire deal by returning a car I wanted to keep, and go through an enormous hassle to do so. 1 week later I had the car checked by my local dealer and found a handful of items that needed repair that were represented as in excellent condition on their service check out report, including a nearly dead battery and poor alignment. When I called out that I got more lies and more hassle. I am taking it in tomorrow to have them fix the problems, which should be for free, but I would not be surprised if the did not try to charge me. My car that they insisted was sent to auction was listed today, at their dealership, for $ 6500 more than they gave me ($ 500 more than high retail kbb)!

Wonderful Experience

I was greeted by Robyn in the service department and was taken care of immediately with a smile and friendly manner. I live in Glendale (30 mile drive) but refuse to use the Kia near my home. The few times I have been to the Glendale dealership/service department I have been ignored and when I finally got someone to help me I was treated like they were doing me a favor. I purchased two cars from them on the same day. Wish I would have visited the Simi Valley store. Oh well, live and learn.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

Purchased a brand new Kia Sorrento with major issues that required lengthy repairs ... all with horrible customer service and outcomes. Do not purchase your car here or get it serviced. Service department is riddled with staff who are dishonest and utter failures in customer service (esp. the service manager Guy Ankeny). The most recent dealing involved trying to get service records for a vehicle we purchased and had serviced there. We were told to show up in person (as an ID was required) but when we got there, this Guy Ankeny states, "Our job is not to keep your service records." States that it will be e-mailed in 48 hours when another staff the day before stated that it would only take 30 minutes and be ready in the morning. Little does he know it is Kia corporate who asked us for these records.
