Couldn't have been better!

I have been doing business with this dealership from their beginning with the Acura line. I have never bought another car (at least 6 of them) from anyone else...and there is a reason! Other than the fact that I think Acura is the best car on the road for the money, the whole staff at Scanlan Acura provides "above and beyond" customer service. I have them take care of all my service needs as well...always no hassle and accommodating. Alex Soare was my salesman for this latest purchase and he is a consulate gentleman, easy going and honest. Got me exactly what I asked for, along with financing managers Don and Shaun. These guys own my business.

Best dealership on the west coast of Florida!!!

Talked to the GM and Dan Clifford about a car I saw online. My local dealership was not taking much off the 2014s and had 2015s in already. I wanted a 2014 model year in clearance or a 2013 with low miles. Called to see what they were doing at Scanlon. Worked out a deal over the phone. I got there the deal was as stated. Great deal, worth driving the 100 miles each way to save thousands over my local dealership. Free oil changes at dealership. Have family in that area so when I visit them I will take my car in for the freebies.

Bait and switch

When we initially came in bob seemed nice enough but we were very specific in the deal we were looking for and already had confirmed and he assured us he could match the deal. We left and returned to find the dealership closed at 5 pm on a Saturday and not reopen until Monday. Bob was called at 10am and was with another customer. A return call to him was placed at 11am to confirm the deal and he answered but again said he was with a customer and would return our call shortly. We finally drove down after two additional hours and no return call and were told he was still with a customer though no customer ever stepped foot into his office. He shuffled us off to a poor internet manager to "do the paperwork" and after another hour of waiting when we said we didn't have much time we were then told sorry we don't actually have the car! When we asked the internet manager how this happened he said maybe the car sold in the three hours they had been open that morning while we were waiting for Bob to call us back! When questioned Bob said he never told us he had the car which clearly isn't true or why would we be there in the first place and then he admitted he thought he could get the car. In the end Joe brought us in and told us the best he could do was over 100 higher a month than we were promised and we were told if we had the initial deal to go and take it. Clearly they are not ethical and they wasted a lot of our time. I will be sure to tell everyone I meet and as many social media sites I can of this to warn other buyers from making the same mistake!

We are saddened that this experience was portrayed in this manner. The Scanlon’s have taken their name in the community seriously for the last 30 years. We have attempted to reach out to you to go over the events because we feel this is not a fair representation of the attempted transaction. For perspective, the first visit we were not allowed to appraise your trade (which would have been an efficient use of your time), and were forced to use the numbers you gave to us to construct a deal. Obviously, a deal can’t be made without an appraisal, and an accurate payoff. We advised you that an entry level MDX was not in inventory, and that all we had were higher and more expensive trim levels. But, if we could come together on figures after an appraisal, we would be happy to locate the appropriate vehicle that suited the budget and transportation needs. This is after all what we do for our clients: consult, and provide a vehicle solution that meets their needs. When you purchase a luxury car with advanced technology, you should expect personalized service at delivery. Our sales people personally deliver the vehicles to the clients to make sure their experience here is smooth and focused on the clients specific needs learned during the sales process. While Bob not being able to get back to you during a delivery is not a good thing, he still would not have been able to verify the deal based on the inability to look at your trade (mentioned above). We are pleased that another associate stepped in to assist to ensure your time here was well spent. When the real payoff and trade value was determined, the numbers given to us were $3000 off, causing a large variance in payment. It is our understanding other dealers quoting the numbers had not appraised the trade, or pulled the payoff.

It is sad that this dealership and more importantly Joe Ferigno continue to lie and wont just admit that what we were told was not accurate. Unfortunately I was given 48 hours to respond to a call from Joe telling me he wanted to "clear the air so I didnt have a bad taste in my mouth" but there was not notion of making good on the deal or trying to at all. Thank God we had already purchased our vehicle. Interesting gaps in your response though- Why would Bob have not told us when we called that there was no vehicle?Why would we have driven down if we knew all along there was NO vehicle? Regardless of the trade in he said he could do the deal on a car that DID NOT EXIST. When we questioned him he clearly stated he thought he might be able to get it-which explains his desire to shuffle us off that day--it is hard to be caught when you dont tell the truth. If the deal could still have been done without the trade you would think that option would be offered, but I was specifically told again that the deal would not be done anywhere and to go where they told us it could. In the end you have lived up to the pre concieved perception most people have of car dealers and that is that you are dishonest, and unethical. I just hope some people will read this and see that clearly there is much detail in my story that would be hard to fabricate and a very generic, vague response from Scanlon Acura. Save yourself the drama and call Luis in Pembroke Pines.

We make every effort to assist our customers in making a vehicle purchase decision. From our review of what transpired on your visit on Saturday, July 5th compared to what you have posted here, we feel again compelled to respond. From the beginning and throughout, we made it clear to you that we did not have the vehicle in stock but would locate and bring in your vehicle of choice should we agree on terms. You had proposed to us figures with a trade-in (prior to your Saturday visit) that you stated had equity and on that basis we clearly indicated that you would have to bring in your trade so it could be evaluated but with the understanding that if the trade was worth what you stated we believed we could meet your terms. Further, you were not offered the deal you proposed without a trade because our ability to make the deal you proposed was totally contingent on the equity on your trade that you insisted was there. (so when we finally got the chance to appraise your trade and then called for the payoff, we determined there was no equity and you were told that on Saturday). As for the suggestion that you were shuffled between salesman, your salesman explained when you called at 10am that he was tied up with a delivery and would call you when he was done. The same when you called back at 11am. We appreciate that you decided to come in anyway and we introduced you to another member of our sales staff since your salesman was still completing a delivery. You can be assured that we want to sell and deliver every customer that wants to purchase a vehicle and had your trade been worth what you stated we believe a deal could have been made. As for your suggesting that you had an Acura dealer on the East Coast of Florida that would do the deal that you proposed to us, our research appears to show that you traded your 2011 Pathfinder to a Nissan dealer on this coast. We called Luis at Pembroke Pines....

Excellent Experience

Mine was an 'internet purchase' of a used Honda van, The salesman John Gallman was attentive, honest, and completely professional and a pleasure to deal with... The Dealership followed through with everything they represented... I would highly recommend John Gallman and this dealership Dave K

Good experience

The only reason this deal was consumated was Jesse Sellers. The repoire and credibility he projected convinced both my wife and me that we should deal with him and Scanlon rather than the competition that offered a brand new vehicle rather than the demo at a comparable price. Kudos to John Santillo as well, he solved a problem that would have blocked the deal date, because of his sagacity, he wasable to get the deal done now rather than down the road. Jesse and John were a team I'd be happy to recommend. And Susan did a good job as well.

Short and Sweet

Short and Sweet From the minute I called Scanlon Acura on Tuesday May 6th and spoke to Eric, I knew this was going to be a good experience (short and sweet) and I would be able to accomplish my goals without problems. I needed to trade in a car, lease a new car and have my new car shipped to New Jersey, (things like this can get complicated). Eric assured me on the phone it could all be done and also mentioned Scanlon would pay for shipping my new vehicle to New Jersey. I told Eric I would come see him on Thursday but decided to go that afternoon. On my way to Scanlon, I visited another Acura dealer closer to my home in Naples Florida. The minute I walked in I knew this was not the right place for me but just wanted a price to compare to. When I arrived at Scanlon, Eric was there to greet me and we immediately started to make the deal. They offered good money for my trade in and I got a better price for my new TL lease. Eric worked with John (sales manager) who was a terrific guy and made me the best deal possible. When Eric and John told me this was the best they could do, I believed them. I filled out some paper work, took a look at my future car and agreed to come back Saturday to finish the deal and give them my trade in. On Saturday everything was ready when I arrived, I signed a few more papers and was handed off to Don (business manager). Don did his best to try and sell me on all the programs he felt strongly about but I had already made up my mind beforehand to stay in my budget and did not buy any extras. A question came up about insuring the car properly (Florida and New Jersey), these things can be complicated. Don worked with me every step of the way and had the patience of a saint. He made sure I received the correct (legal) answers and did everything in his power to make me feel comfortable. Once Don and I had finished, Eric showed me how to use all the gadgets in the car, (Bluetooth, Nav System, etc.). He took all the time I needed and made sure I was satisfied. If this all sounds like an all day affair, it wasn't. Had it not been for the insurance issue, I would have been in and out in less than one hour. Eric, John and Don are true professionals and if you live in the Ft. Myers, Naples area and are looking for an Acura, you would be crazy not to go see the boys at Scanlon.
