With the purchase of a Lincoln Mercury dealership on Fowler Street in 1980 John Scanlon began building his family business with a strong focus on being employee oriented customer driven and community conscious); treating all with respect honesty integrity and dignity. Today John and his son Jay continue to build upon that same foundation within the Scanlon Lexus & Scanlon Acura dealerships both now located south on Tamiami Trail / US 41 in Fort Myers.

We Love Our New MDX S-Series - ❤️

Had a great experience purchasing our MDX S- series SUV from Scanlon Acura Fort Myers . Ryan and Mike were very helpful with the process and took the time needed to assure we were familiarized and comfortable with the car, and all of its many many extras. Too many to mention. After comparing the Acura to several other brands, including Mercedes, Lexus, Volkswagen and Audi, it was obvious that the choice was Acura due to the many many options and extras included in the S-Series package. Sporty, comfortable and just an all-around gorgeous car that we are excited and proud to own. We will be back again to this dealership. They go the extra mile to assure there are no questions unanswered and that you are totally comfortable and happy with your purchase.

I normally don’t leave reviews but this guy didn’t

I normally don’t leave reviews but this guy didn’t disappoint. I’m a Air Force recruiter and I know a great quality salesman and stand up person when I see one. I came here about 2 weeks ago while on leave and spoke with Ethan, Taveras. He pretty much broke down the car and all the details effortlessly. I did not get the typical pressure to buy vibe from him at all. His customer support skills are bar none!! If was was able to bring my car while on leave I would have 100% purchased a vehicle that day. The service he gave after knowing I couldn’t purchase spoke volumes about his character. I’m now back in Chicago and wish I had the same service. Scanlon Acura you have a awesome employee on your hands and I hope it’s efforts and hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you Ethan I greatly appreciate your service. Wish I could give stars pass the allotted rating scale. If you are looking for a car at this dealership ask for Ethan, Taveras. I highly recommend his services.

We have lived in Fl for the past ten years and have bought our third car from the Scanlon dealership. Our sales rep John Gallman spent several hours with us during the deciding period and after delivery. We also had the opportunity to meet several of the executive staff at both Scanlon Acura and Lexus. They made us feel like valuable customers. Our first two cars were excellent purchases and we anticipate the same from the third purchase. We would highly recommend John Gallman at the Acura dealership if you are shopping for an Acura.

I can’t say enough about this dealership.

I can’t say enough about this dealership. We called around to several dealerships because we had our own financing through NFCU and Scanlon was the only place we called that welcomed us with open arms. We drove over 6 hours and was at the dealership maybe a hour and we was done. Another thing that will separate this dealership from the rest is, believe it or not, they were up front and honest with us. Most dealerships while in the finance department will push you to buy this and buy that but we said no one time and that was that. It was WONDERFUL to not feel pressured to buy the “extra” stuff that sometimes we may or may not need. If you go, ask for Dan Clifford, John Gallman and Grant LaFrinier. They were the best.

I honestly don't know where to start, this dealership &

I honestly don't know where to start, this dealership & all of the employees are absolutely amazing. I would give 100 stars if I could. I came in to test drive a 2020 TLX that I had found on the website, Nick G. had greeted us in the parking lot with a firm handshake & a nice conversation about my boyfriends miata. We went inside where we met Dan, the manager, got some water & after about 5-10 minutes Nick had the keys for the test drive. He went through every SINGLE button and feature the car had one by one & if he didn't know what something did, we found out together. I loved that. There was a chip in the windshield that was pointed out & i was assured that it would be taken care of. During the test drive, we got to know him & he's a fellow 90s JDM person, so I was already like yup, I'd buy a car from him. After the test drive, he showed us the lounge & we got some tea / hot cocoa & then sat down to talk numbers. He wasn't pushy at all, very honest & asked all the right questions. Dan came back over to see how things were going, let me know the windshield would be replaced free of charge & gave me some fatherly advice about boosting my credit since I've always paid cash for my cars. I let them know we were going to look around more & go to Honda Fort Myers to check out some cars as well. They were very understanding & said its great to habe options. Honda was a god awful experience (as someone from NYC, my gut told me to run as soon as i walked through those doors & met the salesman there) & my boyfriend & I were back at Scanlon Acura within an hour an a half. We were greeted with a smile like we were friends, not customers. We got to sit down with Grant, the finance manager & he is one of the nicest guys I've ever met, also has a very firm handshake. (Him & Dan give major dad energy). He sat and explained everything, we went over every option step by step & I explained that my credit was bad so if I didn't get the loan after the initial down payment, I'd just pay the car off in full. I even called my dad & spoke with him & Grant understood that my dad's advice was a big influence for me. By this time it was going on 8pm, so we all shook hands & since I didn't have a car to get back to dealership the next day, Nick offered to pick me & my grandmother up the next day (on his day off) to take us to the bank to get the down payment & take me to the dealership afterwards. Friday came & Nick did exactly that, picked us up, took us to the bank & waited -even through some issues- dropped my grandmother at home (she's 93 & is smitten with him LOL) & took me back to the dealership. When I saw Dan, he smiled and greeted me with "hey trouble" like my uncles used to do, which made me happy. After having 3 cups of really good hot cocoa from the lounge, I sat with Grant again & went to finalize everything. He got me a better rate & monthly payment than previously stated (with the warranties included) & was just a delight to see again. After signing everything, I gave them all a hug. They deserved it. I never in my life thought buying a car from a dealership would be this easy & this much of a delightful experience. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy a car & they have made a forever customer with me & even my boyfriend. I also told my dad to buy from this place cause that's just how great they are. Plus you get free car washes for life. Overall an 100/10 experience.

Never in the past 25 years have I had a car buying experience as easy and as pleasurable as this one. Do NOT buy from this dealership!!!

HORRIBLE horrible experience. I would never recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They do not return calls in a timely fashion. The salesman Mike Messina and the Sales Manager Stuart will not return your calls to make the sale. They called us back the next day and we were prepared to buy the vehicle. It took them ONE hour to send us the necessary paperwork we needed to apply for our pre-approved loan. Within that time they had sold the vehicle we were purchasing right out from under us. Not only did we lose out on the vehicle but we also have lost points on our credit report because we now have to cancel the loan!! I absolutely DO NOT recommend this company. Them not calling us back after five attempts the previous day should have been the clue we needed to AVOID ever trying to buy from this company in the first place!! Horrible business. Stay away!

Some important details about this transaction should be noted as we feel it helps shed light on what really happened. This was a client who is outside the USA. From experience, everything is a little more difficult when trying to export a vehicle to the Caribbean. We can and have done these deals before and know exactly what is involved. This client did not want to use our financing and elected to secure their own. We will secure the vehicle if a client is using us to finance till, we have an approval. Since the client's bank might be outside the USA this can complicate things further. We flat out told this client we would not hold the vehicle with them trying to obtain out of country financing. The deal can be drawn out for weeks waiting on funds to clear and paperwork to go back and forth. That very same day the vehicle sold to a local party. Be confident that we take care of our clients, are upfront on how we do business and have been since 1981 here in SW Florida.
