Highly recommend

My husband and I were in the market for a new truck with specific qualities, we were able to find an option at this dealership. My husband was helped by Alan, who was absolutely kind, patient and awesome! We were able to work together to get a good deal which later turned out to be a great deal on our new vehicle. We were also helped by Sam, who eased our minds by providing us with answers to our questions. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the entire process! From the warmth of the people there to their knowledge in their departments. The Lord willing, we will definitely come back here for our next vehicle purchase. Highly recommend!

Bad experience with Service Department

Terrible experience with Service Department, specifically service director Eric Trippett. Took my 2016 Wrangler in for a rear differential problem. Was told that the aftermarket components of it were damaged. Took it to another mechanic, who determined and documented that the issue was in fact with stock components. When I brought it to Eric's attention, he dismissed it outright and concocted an excuse that the aftermarket parts put "undue strain" on the affected stock parts. When I pointed out that this wasn't at all what his initial diagnosis was (for which he charged me $115) he flat-out denied it, at one point raising his voice at me. I'm left to wonder if part of this was driven by desire to "put someone who speaks with an accent in his place", so to speak. For four years, this was my go-to service department for regular maintenance, but rest assured they won't see a dime from me ever again, and neither will sales. I am a member of Austin's largest Jeep association, and I will recommend that other members avoid this dealership like the plague. I will be bringing this to the attention of the dealership's management, as well as Nyle Maxwell himself and Jeep's customer service.

Recall Repair for Dodge Journey ‘15

During my Recall Repair appointment, I requested for an oil change service. My car has an Existing Mopar Vehicle Protection Plan so I assumed the Oil change was complimentary since My service contract was still active. Nick, service manager, called to notify me my car was ready and stated the cost for oil change. I was surprised since it should have been covered by my service contract. Nick noted that the service contact 2 had expired in Feb 2020 and offered to print out the details of the contract. Seeing my dismay and frustration, Nick offered a one time courtsey discount towards my oil change service. Nick went above and beyond my expectations as a customer. This gesture renewed my loyalty at this Nyle Maxwell CDJR of Austin.

Would not recommend

Would only recommend if you’re trying to have a bad time. Positive: Bob in finance is great. Worked with me on financing, was professional and helpful. Negative: purchased a used vehicle that had two issues with it (tire sensor issue and a visibility issue with the rear window). When signing paperwork, the two issues were not documented. However, my salesman ASSURED me these items would be fixed by the dealership when I brought it back for service the following day. When I brought it back for the service appointment, I was informed they would not be able to fix the rear window issue and I would have to take it somewhere else (approx. $180-$210 out of pocket). I spoke to the sales manager, who informed me he had no idea of the agreement between myself and my salesman. He said he would correct this by sending me two “referral checks”, which would cover the majority, if not all, of the repair. I was told I should receive them within two weeks. The two weeks came and went: no checks. I called the dealership, spoke to the Accounting department: no record of my agreement with the Sales Manager. After another round of phone calls, I am now waiting for checks (again). I would not have purchased the vehicle if I had known these items couldn’t have been fixed.

Great Service!!

They got me in quickly and made contact with me every step of the way! Very satisfied! They fixed the issues I was having and even followed up afterwards to make sure everything was still going good.
