Kyle was fantastic. I contacted him and told him what I was looking for. He found it and the next day I drove it home. One low price, no hidden fees. Just the way I like it. I love my new Jeep Compass. Thanks guys. I will be back.

Sean at Nyle Maxwell CDJR in Austin sold me my 2nd vehicle from them, a 2018 Jeep Wrangler and I love it. The experience was quick and not stressful at all, they took care of me and previously sold 3 vehicles to my parents. Ask for Sean!

Best Dealership experience I’ve had. Straight forward negotiation. Robert was great and wasn’t pushy. Went to multiple dealerships before them and left because the sales and finance were scummy and trying to push me into xxxx deals. Finance was a breeze and same thing, didn’t try to force me into anything. Best experience I’ve had buying a truck.

I am extremely disappointed with the service department at Nyle Maxwell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Austin. I brought my 2026 Ram 2500 diesel in because the rear ParkSense system suddenly started falsely detecting an obstacle directly behind the truck every time reverse was engaged. Louise, the service director, insisted the issue was caused by my receiver hitch even though the exact same hitch had been installed since November 2025 without any prior issues. Because the diagnosis did not make sense, I removed the hitch myself after retrieving the truck and recorded video proving the exact same ParkSense warning still exists even with the hitch completely removed. I sent the video directly to Louise and never received a meaningful response. Instead of properly diagnosing the issue, I was essentially told to take my vehicle somewhere else. I have purchased four vehicles from Nyle Maxwell over the years, which makes this experience even more disappointing.

Mike, I'm very sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you had with our service department. It's never our intention to dismiss any concerns or send valued customers elsewhere without proper assistance. I understand your disappointment, especially as a loyal customer who has purchased multiple vehicles from us, so let's work together to get this issue properly resolved for you. Please reach out at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Luis Villafane - Service Director - 5124934583

Consumer response

Luis, I gave you every opportunity to properly address this issue before escalating it publicly. What continues to frustrate me is that I repeatedly explained the exact same receiver hitch had been installed on this truck for the past 7 months without a single ParkSense issue until recently. The ball also folds underneath the truck and is not visible when stored. Despite that, the service department immediately concluded the hitch was the cause instead of properly testing the ParkSense system itself. I specifically asked whether the rear sensors could be tested or whether additional diagnostics could be performed to determine if a sensor, wiring issue, moisture intrusion, or software problem existed. Instead, I was repeatedly told to bring the truck back so the hitch could be removed. After retrieving my truck, I removed the hitch myself and recorded video proving the exact same ParkSense warning still occurs even with the hitch completely removed. That alone disproves the original diagnosis I was given by your service department. I sent the video evidence directly to you and never received any meaningful response afterward. You also mentioned that the GM would contact me, which never happened. At this point, I am forced to take the truck to another dealership for what should have been a straightforward diagnostic process from the beginning. I have purchased vehicles from Nyle Maxwell since 2004 and have bought four vehicles from your dealership over the years. Unfortunately, this experience permanently damaged my confidence in the service department and how this situation was handled.

I tried to handle this issue in private but the service managers actions were so inappropriate that I decided to post this publically. I dropped off my 2024 Jeep with several issues. My windshield washer jets were not working, I had an intermittent check engine light on, my car smelled like it was burning oil and coolant, and my transmission was making weird noises. The car was returned to me with the check engine light still intermittently coming on and my washer fluid is now squirting inside the passenger compartment. My transmission is still making weird noises. Basically my car was returned to me in worse condition than when I dropped it off. When I dropped the vehicle back off for another repair attempt I was told by Louis, the service manager, that I was not allowed to service my jeep at Maxwell any more. He said this was because I was deceptive in a survey response and I concealed damage. This is absolutely a lie. I called soon after the vehicle was picked up and informed the dealership that I was still having the same issues. I even stopped by the dealership again so they could look at the check engine light and capture the codes. Which they did, and yet I get accused of lying on a survey. My repairs were not completed so I said that on the survey…. Louis said this was deceptive. The manager chewed me out in front of my daughter and other customers. He said I was hiding damage to my vehicle which is a lie. I pointed out the damage and even talked to their service advisor about body shop repair. I gave a completely honest survey and was accused of being deceptive and hiding damage.

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way about your recent experience. Our goal is always to provide transparent communication and quality service to every customer. In this case, we provided complimentary diagnostics and arranged transportation assistance at no charge while your vehicle was being evaluated. During the inspection process, our technicians identified concerns that appeared to be related to pre-existing or external damage, which would not be covered under manufacturer warranty guidelines. Even so, we attempted to assist by recommending a second opinion and offering additional goodwill support by covering your $100. deductible toward potential repair costs. We also documented and discussed the vehicle concerns during multiple visits, including the intermittent warning light and other issues you mentioned. At no point was our intention to disrespect or embarrass you, and we regret if the interaction felt that way. Because there were significant disagreements regarding the diagnosis and repair process, we ultimately recommended that another facility continue assisting with the vehicle to ensure you received a fresh evaluation and the best possible path forward. We sincerely wish you the best with your vehicle and appreciate the opportunity we had to assist.
