My 2015 Kia Sorento's motor quit on 9/6/2023.

My 2015 Kia Sorento's motor quit on 9/6/2023. It took almost a week to get the approval for the warranty repair by Kia corp. The vehicle has 92000 miles on it so it is still covered by the power train warranty. I was also informed the the motor in my vehicle is under a recall. On top of this I have a repair contract on this vehicle. Every time I contact the service department the time to replace this motor keeps getting extended. It was first suppose to take at least 2 weeks. 2 weeks later I called and was told that there were a couple of cars in front of mine. I called a few days later and wad told that they were telling people at least 4 weeks. I called again 2 weeks later and was told by Tim that it would be at least another 2 weeks. I know that a motor can be replaced in one day. If I ever get my car back I will not return to Gateway Kia in Quakertown for service of any kind and will never purchase another kia.

Purchased a 2018 Dodge Durango on July 3, 2023, and

Purchased a 2018 Dodge Durango on July 3, 2023, and wanted to pay cash. Sales manager, Julian Breux asked me to finance the vehicle, as he would get paid sooner. He said I could pay off the vehicle immediately with no early payment penalty fees or interest rates accrued. When the statement from the bank came for the first payment, there was an interest charge of $240 added to the payoff. The bank couldn't, wouldn't do anything about the interest charges, so I went to see Julian Breux, and he agreed there was a mistake on his part, and he would reimburse the $240. After supposedly checking with the accounting department, he called me the next day and said that a check would be issued to me for the $240. After two more phone calls, and more promises that a check would be coming, i have not received the $240. Do not trust the word of Julian Breux. I would go elsewhere for your car-buying experience.

Go Elsewhere

Vehicle was marked up $2,000.00 over msrp. Salesman tried to claim he took 5k off the price. No Maroney window sticker was presented at the time of sale. This was later acquired from Kia. Salesman also stated that Kia now offers 10 yr roadside protection instead of 5. Tried to get in touch with the owner of the dealership but received a reply from management instead saying there was nothing they could do and that the Maroney sticker was probably removed during detailing. The Maroney sticker is supposed to be removed by the purchaser. It is law. Go somewhere else. The owner of these dealerships obviously doesn't care about the shady practices that go on there. If he did, he would have a phone number available for serious concerns like other dealership owners.

Worst experience I have and continue to have ever single

Worst experience I have and continue to have ever single til I have to get into the vehicle to go anywhere. I was completely lied to about vehicle. And my sales man Carlos, promised me things that weren't true. They never have given me a rental I've brought the 2019 1 owner leased that left her pink slip in glove box. That tells me that they are so sloppy they didn't even open the glove box to clean that out. I found out the car was not least for 3 years every single Carfax has been different I've gone to the Kia dealership on Lehigh Street and I would like to thank the service that I received from Anthony that was at the utmost best experience that I've ever had even though he had been telling me that the car should have never been sold as a pre-owned certified vehicle I do appreciate his honesty I do appreciate his consistent customer service and I do rely on him now for any needs with the Kia considering I'm still under warranty and Quakertown Kia the service that I've received is absolutely unheard of when I told them the steering wheel made noise the service they did was take my car to another vehicle on their lot that car made the same noise that my car made no changes or fixes at that time all keys have this problem. Allentown Kia told me there was a recall and replace the bearings in my steering wheel therefore fixing the problem. Thank you Anthony for doing your job for your customers and not lying or manipulating them as I was at Gateway Kia not only by the salesman who is no longer employed and I specifically said to him and I know there's cameras there you're not planning on going anywhere anytime soon are you and he said no girl I'm here to stay hit me up every year I'll put it up a set of brand new tires on that car cuz you got the tire warranty. I went to who I thought was the head of their store Julian and he basically told me now he told me I don't believe you there's no way that my salesman told you that. Those were his exact words the people at that dealership excluding Scott Tim and Amy in service who have put up with my calling repeatedly asking repeatedly for the same things that I've been promised since the day of sale I want to thank them all because they have to deal with all the customers that the car dealers salesman are selling to customers they have no idea what those customers have going on in their lives this is mentally physically and emotionally put me further into depression than I was prior to purchasing this vehicle not only did I put $7,000 down cash after finding the pink slip in the in glove box. I found out that I only paid maybe less than $100 more than the first owner that did not have a 3-year lease she returned it in 4 months and 9 days that is when a brand new transmission was put into the vehicle none of this was in the Carfax nothing above within any of the carfaxes the only reason I am writing this is to maybe get the attention of the owner their sister store and their store of choice would be to go to the Warrington store that is where I've heard the manager or the owner of the store usually is and that's where most of their sales happen. I would love if the owner of the store would see this post feel the pain the consistent pain that I feel every single time I go out to that car I cry because I don't know who to go to I am disabled I live Penny to Penny and for these people take advantage of me is just not even human the people don't have remorse on any customer I did ask Julian who I thought was the top man there because I went through my car salesman and he kept pushing me off pushing me off everything that I was promised prior to purchasing the vehicle was not done and I have learned since I bought the vehicle that there was a transmission replaced in this vehicle I just recently got the warrants the tire warranty information from Julian along with another Carfax that had zero mentioning of any replacement of a transmission I am 43 years old and I've been disabled since 2017

Consumer response

The only reason I'm writing this is to maybe get the attention of the owner and have the owner reach out to me as I am in dire need to get out of this car And the service I received from your employees at Gateway Kia is absolutely unheard of and I never wish this on my worst enemy. They literally have destroyed my life since I purchased this car March 28th 2023 which is also incorrect on the warranty letter that I received for the automatic roadside service that comes with this lovely Kia Forte they didn't even get the sales date right on that nor did they get it right on the Carfax nor did they give me any of the carfaxes that had any kind of information that the first owner only had the vehicle for 4 months and 9 days and oh the car sat on their lot for one year prior to me buying it they weren't going to tell me that until I saw the mechanic come out jump the vehicle and I asked him why is he doing that and he said well the car did sit here for one year which would have been fine had I known the thing that touched the top is how are they to sell me a vehicle and not tell me that they replace the transmission nearly one year to the day that I bought the car and it's not on anything except the maintenance contract that I received from Allentown again Anthony is one of the best services that I have ever had at a dealership thank you Anthony my response for this is reaching out to the owner for any compensation with this vehicle before I further my days with this vehicle and the payments that I have to make and the lies that I have to daily live with every time I get into the vehicle the service that I received that they tell me that I am crazy that there's nothing that's going on with this car I don't need to be told I'm crazy I just need to be having an honest salesman obviously Carlos didn't tell me not one thing that was true and Julian was absolutely no help please do not buy from this dealership I am literally living day in and day out more depressed than I was going into this car deaelers

Buyer be wear!

Buyer be wear! They are expert at marking up to the moon, trying to "get you in it" by expanding your financing term, 1st coming at you with crazy monthly payments, then trying to get you think you got a deal when they come down. I can't emphasize enough, start negotiating from the very tiny fine print msrp, not the prominent total! They are pros at what I described, and I really have to admit I bought into some of it and got a terrible deal on a nice car that should have been thousands cheaper if I did not fall for the xx tactics.

The new Mike l manager they brought on is the worst

The new Mike l manager they brought on is the worst manager I’ve seen in 4 years of selling cars. As a former worker there I can tell you to stay away! Mike once told me he could get a deal that sounded reasonable. I had a lady drive an hour in all for them to lowball her trade and try to get me to swap her to a way less nice car with more miles with an older body style. She left beyond angered and I was equally upset! Truly just shameful. Most used inventory costs more then there msrp did years back. Mike L doesn’t coach doesn’t say much has 0 personality and is beyond under qualified to manage a dealership! He gave 0 paper work on how he wanted sales process done. 0 coaching. Just try’s to assert his power. It went from a happy dealer with ten plus cars to a dealer that did a few to none done says. Also when the new Mike came they brought in a sales guy named Troy who grunted at people n made gross comments about people’s daughters. The guy was a walking lawsuit.

My recent visit to Gateway Kia of Quakertown Dealership

My recent visit to Gateway Kia of Quakertown Dealership left me utterly frustrated and disillusioned with their management team. I had high hopes of finding my dream car and receiving exceptional service, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by the incompetence and lackluster attitude of the management personnel. From the moment I stepped into the dealership, it was evident that the management team was disorganized and unprofessional. Despite having made an appointment in advance, I was kept waiting for an unreasonable amount of time without any explanation or acknowledgment. The lack of basic customer service skills and attention to detail was glaringly apparent. Moreover, when I finally managed to speak with a manager, their attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. They seemed more interested in upselling and pushing me towards higher-priced vehicles rather than genuinely understanding my needs and preferences. It felt like they were more focused on maximizing their profits rather than building a positive customer relationship. Furthermore, the manager appeared to have limited knowledge about the vehicles on the lot. When I asked specific questions about certain features and specifications, they were unable to provide satisfactory answers or seemed completely unaware of the details. This lack of product knowledge was deeply concerning and reflected poorly on the dealership's commitment to providing accurate and reliable information to customers. To make matters worse, the manager's communication skills were severely lacking. They were unable to articulate their thoughts clearly and often provided vague or contradictory information. It was incredibly frustrating to engage in a conversation that felt like a never-ending loop of confusion and miscommunication. Their inability to effectively communicate only added to the overall sense of disappointment and dissatisfaction. In the end, I left the dealership feeling utterly disheartened and certain that I would not be returning. The management team's incompetence and lack of professionalism completely overshadowed any potential positives the dealership may have offered. A dealership's management should be the backbone of excellent customer service, but in this case, they were the primary reason for my negative experience. I hope that Gateway Kia of Quakertown takes this review as constructive feedback and works towards improving their management practices. A competent and customer-centric management team is crucial for the success and reputation of any business, especially in the highly competitive automotive industry. Until I see significant improvements in this regard, I would strongly advise potential customers to explore alternative dealerships that prioritize professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Liars!

Liars! Broken promises! Foul language used by salesperson! Overall awful experience! Never going here again to purchase anything!! I left this dealership feeling taken advantage of and scammed. Car price was marked up over MSRP and when I called them out on it they wouldn’t honor their online price….gave some bogus excuse! Gave me a number for my trade value….then that number was lower when paperwork was done. No one ever went over any paperwork with me on the final financials to make sure all was accurate. I was just handed an envelope and told have a nice day. I should have listened to my gut and walked out of that dealership!!!! Management sucks. Nothing done about bad reviews!
