Automax of Ocala

My husband and I stopped in Automax right around 8:00pm which is closing time for the dealership. Salesman, Joel Tomlinson was nice enough to stop and talk to us on his way out. Joel was wonderful. He stayed for around twenty minutes or so and answered all of our questions on the 2013 Nissan Altima and some other vehicles that I was curious about. Joel never acted like he was in a hurry to go, even though it was past closing time and was pleasant to talk to. The very next day I returned to Automax and asked for Joel. I test drove the Altima and was in love. Joel was never pushy and didn't try to pressure me into anything. He made me feel at ease and left the buying decisions totally up to me. I asked Joel to write everything down on a buyers order so that I could see the numbers and take it to my bank for financing. Joel did just that. I literally purchased this car in less than two hours. The buying experience was the easiest and best I've ever had. From here on out, my husband and I both agree that we will only work with Joel when purchasing our vehicles. We also love Automax and their amazing prices. Two thumbs up to Joel as well as to Automax. Thanks guys! We love our car.

I visited Automax this past weekend as the first dealership of the day on a browse for a used SUV. After meeting our sales associate, Joel, and test driving a few different makes/models I was sold on a 2011 Jeep Patriot. I did not intend to purchase on this day and definitely intended to visit a few other dealerships, but we knew almost immediately that Joel was both knowledgable and genuine. He graciously showed us as much or as little as we wanted on the lot and answered questions patiently and kindly. While trading in a car, buying a new car, transferring titles, running credit scores and signing paperwork can be a long and tedious process, Joel did well in easing the pain of waiting. He was quick, honest and to the point - qualities that in the end led to me purchasing a vehicle. Scott, the financial associate on staff was lighthearted yet informative - helping me to understand my payment and insurance options. Overall - I am very pleased with my purchase and think Automax has a solid group of trustworthy and non-pushy employees, something I very much appreciated.

My wife and I were single vehicle owners and were expecting a baby at the time when we first looked into AutoMax and met Tammy Cullison. Tammy was attentive to exactly what we were looking for in a second vehicle and wasn't just trying to make a sale, in fact, we walked after not finding what we were looking for. Tammy continued to look for us, researching and staying in contact with us over a period of several months. When we were finally ready to purchase, AutoMax had exactly what we needed. So much so, I traded my vehicle in and we purchased two vehicles that very same day. Tammy teamed up with sales representative Chris Drewry and ensured the trade and sales process was smooth and uncomplicated for my wife and I. Both Tammy and Chris are excellent members of the sales staff who are very knowledgeable and attentive to the customers needs. I would, AND HAVE, recommended them repeatedly since our purchase. Additionally I would like to add that General Manager, Tony LaPuma, is an extremely knowledgeable and attentive manager. His hands on, customer satisfaction driven and honest approach to car sales in general, is exactly what car buyers should expect when making their purchase. I would've given AutoMax 5 stars on the customer service however; finance manager Scott could use some improvement on his follow up and people skills. An issue that Mr. LaPuma was able to rectify in a matter of minutes to ensure customer satisfaction. Honesty in car buying, imagine that! I highly recommend AutoMax of Ocala. We love our purchases and could not have been any happier with the sales approach, buying process and management from the professionals at AutoMax of Ocala.

Went in thinking I was going to look and see what was available! left with a car. Jim Helfin....made that happen. Process was good, cleaned up all the problems I listed and had the car within 3 days. Only problem I have, is a lack of communication there. I have had the car over two weeks and still do not have plates, the woman there said I was just changing places, but I need new ones since I kept my old car. Would I buy from Jim again..YOU BET!!!

Recently, I had to replace my vehicle which was stolen . After , considering several dealerships I settled on Automax, and I am do grateful that I did. My salesperson was Tammy , and in all of my years and car Purchasing experiences , she by far was the best salesperson that I have ever encountered . Her caring and personable demeanor Made the process less dreadful , and an enjoyable process Her commitment to me and to getting me in a car was unyielding , thereby making her an Awesome sales agent .
