Headlight issue and three recall items

This my second Chrysler certified used vehicle that I have purchased from this dealer and both have had problems and/or recalls that should have been identified during the “100 point inspection”. One of the three recalls on my second vehicle was posted prior to the time of my purchase and in addition this vehicle had aftermarket parts installed which were unknown to me at the time of my purchase which then ended up failing. Approximately 60% of the cost of this repair was covered by the dealer but of course there was still a not insignificant cost to me. In addition I When I called to schedule repairs for recall #1 I was to told they have the parts and that the repair would take 15 minutes, I called the day prior to my scheduled repair date to ask them to look into a headlight problem and was told they were out of the parts needed to fix the first recall but there were now two additional recalls that required reprogramming. End result, what was initially going to take 15 minutes took 3.75 hours while I waited (I was never told the reprogramming could take up to three hours, I only found this out when they told another customer sitting next to me), and no loaner cars were available so I had to wait. Unfortunately the vehicle still needs to go back for recall repair #1. I have seen absolutely no benefit to purchasing a “certified used vehicle from this manufacturer”.

Changed my mind

At first I had problems with the car that I bought. But the dealer went above and beyond any of our local dealers. I will go back when I'm ready for a new car.

Power Wagon purchase

Starting looking at trucks due to my previous truck being totalled. Worked with Joe Gochenauer from day one and couldn't be happier. Joe was patient the entire time, which took a few months to find the right truck. Donna in the finance department was also great to work with. The Manager, Dan, was helpful in the process as well. Overall, I would recommend Keller Brothers to anyone looking for a vehicle and definitely ask for Joe.

Great Service!!

Dear Keller Bros. Dodge, September 2, 2018 A lengthy story so please indulge me. A few weeks ago I located a used 2016 Ram Tradesman 2500 Crew Cab at Pacifico Ford in Philadelphia. Essington Ave near the Airport. Using CarGurus, we learned the truck was there for almost 100 days and recently had the price reduced. After many phone discussions with “internet sales” representative Sean, I was advised that the Ram would not have any factory warranty even though it had 21000 miles on the odometer. I was advised I could purchase a “after market” warranty from Pacifico, price was approximately $4000 for 5 years, 60,000 miles. I found it hard to believe that there was no remaining factory warranty so I stopped in at the Keller Bros. Dodge dealership in Lititz and was introduced to Dan Llanso. I told Dan I had “Dodge” warranty questions and I wasn’t actually looking at vehicles on the lot. Dan was more than eager to help me answer the question whether this truck had a remaining factory warranty. I was very impressed with his willingness to help someone who wasn’t going to buy anything but just looking for information. Dan learned the truck had the remainder of the 3/36 bumper to bumper and 5/60 powertrain in effect. This information helped me understand that the Pacifico salesman “Sean” either was uninformed or was trying to sell me a warranty that I did not actually need. I thanked Dan for his outstanding customer service he gave to me. I learned that Dan was actually a supervisor and normally did not interact with customers directly. This impressed me even more that he took the time to help me. I told Dan that when I got the truck, I would be back to buy an extended warranty from him to help him get something out of all the work he did for me. I drove down to Pacifico Ford on Wednesday, August 22 to see the vehicle. I began dealing with another sales person and test drove the vehicle. I ended up entering into a purchasing agreement, putting $500 down and turning down their aftermarket warranty and arranged to arrive the next day around 4:30 pm. with my wife to finalize the financing I had obtained with PSECU. On Thursday around noon Pacifico Ford called me on my cellphone and said they could not sell the vehicle to me as there were two NHTSA recalls “active” (ECM CAN-B conflict and tail gate lock issue) and that precluded them selling the truck to me due to liability. I asked for and was connected with a manager and offered to sign a waiver but was refused. I was told they could sell it to another dealer who then would assume the liability and if that didn’t happen, they would take it to Manheim Auto Auction and sell it there. I was dismayed. But then I remembered how helpful Dan was so I sent him a long email on August 24 and told him I felt we could both make out on the situation. He could get a very nice truck from a dealer who was interested in getting it off their lot and make some money. I would get what I believed was a nice truck at a good price. I offered to Dan that I could pay $1000 over the price that Pacifico Ford was listing the vehicle for on their website. Dan responded very quickly and was sympathetic for me and perplexed why this had occurred. Dan said he would look into the matter and see if it was a worthwhile endeavor. Dan called me on Friday and said they were able to come to terms with Pacifico Ford and would be arranging going to get the vehicle and doing some inspections on it. He sent me a sales “estimate” via email on Saturday and we agreed to meet on Thursday afternoon , August 30, to complete the sale. I was able to get the vehicle that had all the features that I wanted at a below market price. I also bought a 5/75 extended warranty as well as “GAP” rider for about half of what Pacifico Ford was offering. Travis and Donna took care of all the financing with PSECU and the paperwork was seamless, perfect, and painless

Great Experience!

On 5/16/18, my girlfriend and I purchased a 2015 Town and Country from Keller Bros Dodge. A few days prior I had reached out to Bill Reiter (my salesman) and gave him a list of exactly what we wanted in our new van. We had very high expectations and Bill met every single one of them! Everyone at Keller Bros did a fantastic job and made our buying process super easy. If you're in the market for a new or used vehicle, I highly recommend Keller Bros!

Thank you for the kind recommendation, Kevin! We are so happy our team was able to find your family the perfect Town & Country! It was a pleasure to earn your trust and business!

INCOMPETENT

This dealership has failed to procure my registration after a period of 6 months. After 6 months they said that they had all the correct paperwork then told me it would be another 3 weeks because they had to mail it to a 3 party vendor. Total incompetence at this dealership. They are unable to perform the most basic of tasks and are willfully dense. Steer clear!!

Dealer response

Shaun, we regret to hear of your experience. With dealing with out-of-state deals it is true that we deal with a 3rd party vendor and it does take more time to process. There were also signatures needed by you that further delayed this process. We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience and such a long waiting period for your documents. If there's more we can do, please reach out to our General Manager at (717) 625-2000.

Total Incompetence!!

This dealership does not have a grasp of the basic functions of a car dealership. I purchased a truck 6 months ago and still have not received my registration. Somehow after 6 months no one at this dealership has one iota of how to procure the most basic of documents. I would watch your paperwork very closely if you purchase here and really recommend going to any other Dodge dealership in the country if possible.

Dealer response

Shaun, we are terribly sorry to hear of your experience! It is true that for out-of-state deals a 3rd party vendor is used. This does lengthen the process and it was further delayed by trying to gather your signature for some of these documents. We are sorry for the inconvenience and the headache caused by these delays. If there is more we can do to rectify the situation please give our General Manager a call at (717) 625-2000.

Total and complete honesty

Keller Brothers Dodge is the best dealership I have ever dealt with, from my salesman Cal Jurman to business manager Gary Roche to the gentleman who washed and waxed my brand new Hellcat was an amazing experience. I was given a price for the Hellcat and about 15 minutes later to my amazement I was told that they found a mistake in the price of my car and I thought they were going to say it was more, but at this dealership they are so honest that they said it was going to be $ 3000.00 less. They could have said nothing and I would have never known , but they are an honest dealership and because of that I will never buy from any other dealership.

Friendly and Helpful

We have purchased 2 vehicles from Keller Dodge and had all the re-call work done there. They are always super friendly and try to help us get the best option for us without trying to upsell to something we can't afford. The two vehicles we have purchased have been great, One was pre-owned and is in great condition. Every time we have needed re-call work done they do the repair in a very reasonable amount of time and no problems after the repair. I would definitely recommend Keller Dodge to others.
