We saw a Cadillac in Cargurus so we decided to visit the dealer. When we got there we came in waited for someone to come help us but no one came we were just standing there in the entrance. There was this girl there who passed by us 2 times and she didn’t even say anything she was in her phone and sat back to her desk. We decided to take a look outside since no one seemed eager to help us. When we were outside we looked around for 5 minutes approximately and the same girl came outside to ask us if we needed help but we refused since she saw us looking at the cars then she wanted to help us.

This advisor in concert with a lying technician and
This advisor in concert with a lying technician and service manager tried to convince me that my 2002 Escalade needed service on a leaking rear axle seal which I had repaired elsewhere 3 months earlier. There was no leak. I needed A/C service. Refrigerant was low. A tiny leak was identified in the tubes between front and rear evaporators. This could not be easily fixed because parts were not available. However the technician claimed the compressor was noisy and needed replacement because it was about to fail. The technician claimed brake pads were down to 2mm and needed replacement. But 2 months earlier my parking brake was repaired elsewhere and brake pads measured 6-7mm of padding. They also wanted to replace Pittman gear and idler arm, and U joints. When I questioned the integrity of these people they became offended and defensive over my doubts. Ultimately my A/C was topped off last August and has continued to work well. My brakes are just now, 10 months later being replaced. The wet seal is dry, as I would have expected. I was given a con job by Covert Cadillac on Research Blvd last August. I was a long term customer as well but will never return to the Research Blvd location!! Covert Cadillac in Bee Cave is new and clean and wonderfully honest with great technicians and service advisors. They verified the integrity of my vehicle at 157,000 miles and I need to call them out as a beam of bright sunshine.

Being sorry is blowing smoke and mirrors in my face. Severely disciplining the lying mechanic for bloating the job for my vehicle and others, the indifferent Service Manager who only wanted to be out by 5pm, and the belligerent Service Advisor would show your intention to improve on this dismal performance to a long term customer. And yes, Covert Cadillac West sets the pace and you guys should take lessons in honesty, integrity, and customer satisfaction from them.

If I could rate this dealership with NEGATIVE star rating it would definitely be a -5! I saw a used 2021 Ford Explorer I was interested in. I sent an email to confirm availability and if it is still in stock. At 01:58pm on March 31, 2023 I get an email from Jose Diaz "JD" stating the only thing missing is me. "JD" then follows up with an phone call to discuss all the details. All the necessary processes took place.; loan approved, etc. I live in the Houston area and agree to take delivery on the next day, Saturday, April 1st. At 6:32pm Jose calls with "bad news" an employee from the dealership took possession of the vehicle for a weekend getaway in the vehicle I had essentially already "purchased" (only thing left to do was sign paperwork). He asks me to come back on Monday afternoon when the vehicle should be back. We'll, I travel extensively for my job and that isn't possible. Needless to say this has been the WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE ever!

Over the years I have made several vehicle purchases from Covert family dealers and this was my first from Covert Cadillac. The vehicle is beautiful and according to Carfax they properly prepared the car I bought for sale. While I am overall happy with my car purchase, I believe the sales managers could have made the process smoother not only to be more transparent and not fall into the typical car sales mentality that turns people off. It is for this reason that I did not give a perfect rating. While I still believe I did not receive the best deal that reflected my past loyalty, I found it acceptable. The sales person was excellent and if it wasn’t for her customer skills and personality, I most likely would have walked out of the dealership and looked elsewhere. I also give the finance manager kudos for his professionalism and making this process smooth. What I did learn, is that go prepared, go patient and go to Covert Cadillac ready to negotiate and certainly ready to counter and walk out.
