Automax Atlanta

I was looking for a car for my daughter on AutoTrader.com, and I saw one at Automax, so I came to check it out. Alex came out to greet me, showed me the car, explained all of the features and history of the car, then let me test drive it. Alex was very professional and pleasant to deal with! Brought my wife back for her to drive it and look at it, she liked it, so we purchased the car. The young lady in the office who handles the paperwork was very nice, as was the rest of the staff with whom I interacted. Alex got the car washed, vacuumed, gassed up, and ready to go while I was doing the paperwork. From the time we decided to purchase the vehicle, we were driving off the lot within 45 minutes or so. All told, it was a very pleasant experience in purchasing our vehicle from Automax Atlanta, and I would highly recommend that others come here to purchase a vehicle!

The statement above is the dealerships first line in "about us"...I am not sure about the quality of inspections because I purchased a 2008 VW GTI , with an intake modification. Now, I understand about buying "used" etc. etc. but where I get upset is the fact they "checked" out the car and "no faults were found". Well, I test drove the car, and it had a few issues, which were addressed and corrected; I commend them for this. However, 3 days later, I experience "hard shifting" and a check engine light come on. I take it to a VW dealership and have the 80k (car was at 77k) check up because I assumed this is what was needed at this mileage. During the check up, the mechanic ran a diagnostic test, and more than 22 faults were discovered. How can this be?? Hmmm...so, I find out the options are: replace the ECM or part, by part...I replace the ECM ($1400). I then get to find out the real problem is the shift sensor...yep located inside the tranny ($800 without labor THANK YOU VW FOR BEING VERY NICE). Now, I am racking up maintenance issues...ONE WEEK IN! So, instead of taking the dang car back, because, you know "used" blah blah blah...I get the car fixed. I then contact Omar about my issues and was told "forward me the invoice and I will see what I can do (did that on 19 October)...sent another email a week later to follow up...as of today, I have heard nothing!! I don't expect a full reimbursement, but xxxx, something...maybe a month's payment, 15% of my out of pocket expense...something. I would recommend taking your purchase to an off-site mechanic before purchasing. Although, these guys are very nice, I don't trust the mechanics or the lack of getting back to me (COMMUNICATION). A simple (Shawn, we cannot help you) is better than silence.

I came to check out a car I saw on Auto Trader. When I got there. I received fast service. A sales person named Mario helped me. Was very helpful. I would say check this place out. Alot of cars to choose from

Stanley is the man!!! He had outstanding customer service. They carry a huge selection of almost every brand of vehicles. He got me a super low interest rate and a GREAT DEAL on my trade in! As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable. I definitely recommend you stop here before going anywhere else.

I am a widowed mom who is used to be taken advantage of because I do everything on my own. However, my salesman, Alex, did not take advantage of me and my situation. He was patient, flexible, and even went the extra mile to put me in the vehicle I wanted. I highly recommend Alex to any ladies who are wary of being duped because of car shopping alone. He's a nice man and my purchase was pleasant. Plus, there was no haggling or sneaky sales tactics. I highly recommend this dealership and specifically Alex.

Alex was great to work with. We got a great deal. We did have to do maintenance on van but that was to be expected.

I found Automax on Autotrader.com. I like to buy cars often but I HATE car dealerships. They can be predatory. However, at Automax, they allowed me look at my own leisure and when I found a car, they brought me the keys and told me to enjoy the test drive. Stanley was my salesman and he was awesome. We talked about price and he offered me a good deal on my trade and was still willing to work with me on price. We were able to meet in the middle without going back and forth to a finance manager. Omar was also very friendly and non aggressive. We were in and out in less than two hours and driving home in a new car. Even after the sale, i've had contact with Stanley. He has always been very nice and professional. I will definitely visit Automax again.
