No gimmicks auto purchase

Jim is a great representative of Gill Auto who made our purchase of our Jeep Grand Cherokee a painless buying experience. Although all add on services were reviewed there was no pressure and no gimmicks to purchase any thing extra. The vehicle price was negotiated via the "TrueCar" buying program on the internet with no hassle. Zero percent financing was easily arranged at the dealership without any issues. Be sure to contact Jim if you are in the process of purchasing a vehicle.

We have some huge rebates now. Give me a call at 559-674-5661 and ask for Jim. Thanks for the kind words!

Easy and pleasant experience Thank you !

Searched valley dealers and Gill Chrysler had the best prices for what I was looking for.. Clicked on the email link for Jims Hamby's price and received a email within minutes asking permission for Jim to call me. Jim Called right away gave me a quote over the phone and text messaged me the price within minutes to have in writing. Went down to the dealership with my 3 kids and was greeted by a friendly staff and left with my wife's birthday present (2015 Challenger) in a matter of a few hours. Jim was extremely professional and straight forward during the whole deal. Jim also spent atleast 10-15 minutes with me going over the car features and set up before I left the lot. Fast and friendly experience. No BS was what I wanted and for the price I was told. Thank you for making this a easy experience and look forward to dealing with in the future.

Very disappointed

I recently purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Gill Auto Group. The first time I came in, I received terrible treatment from a manage. He was rude, condencending, and was very unprofessional. I decided to return since the price on the Jeep dropped, but did not want any dealings with that manager. He apologized for his actions a month prior to then and I bought the car. 3 months latee, my car broke down and had fuel pump issues. I called to try to get my car out of park (it is a 4 wheel drive car and I could not get it into neutral to get it on the tow truck). The service department was again, rude. They did not want any dealings with me because I called a AAA tow truck rather than a Chrysler tow truck. Once it got to the service department, I handed the keys over and the department said they would fix it and have it washed for me to pick up. 13 days later, I was able to pick up may car. Every time I called to check on the car, they lacked urgency to get it fixed in a timely manner. When I picked it up, it was just finishing getting washed, the inside was not clean, and there was water running down everywhere on my car that will result in water marks. I am truly disappointed in the whole experience, and was really hoping it would have gone differently. Unfortunately, this is not the case. They lack customer service skills, maybe because I am young and a female, but that should not matter.

Bait & Switch Artist

I requested a price from Gill via internet on a new Jeep. Jim sent me a response email with a price. After calling Jim direct and confirming that he had the unit I made the trip to Madera. After arriving at the dealership within 45 minutes of our phone call he informs me that he just sold the car I came for but has the same identical unit for $1000 more! After voicing my disgust for this type of business he say "drive your xxx back to Fresno and buy one" So I did. What a terrible experience and I highly recommend avoiding this place.

Dealer response

Dave, I'm so sorry you feel this way. I know it can be very disappointing when you miss out on an incredible deal: MSRP $23,990, Net Price Only $18,777. I'd be upset too! Unfortunately, we only had one at this price and because we don't want to discriminate, we sell all vehicles on a first come, first serve basis. We look forward to exceeding your expectations. Next time, chances are things will work out better. By the way, we are still willing to stand by our follow-up offer of $19,777 on another $23,990 MSRP Jeep Cherokee. In fact, anyone that comes in with a print-out of this Yelp page can have the same deal as well through December 15th, 2014 when they bring in a print-out of this message.

Basically was laughed at and belittled.

My dilemma, I had a 2010 Camaro for trade that I still owed $20k on and had 145k miles on it, and low 600 credit rating. After being offered a deal from Hanford Chrysler on a nice Chrysler 300 with my trade, I decided to go give this place a shot. I applied for finance on line. Shot a few texts to Jim Hamby's assistant apparently cause he had no clue who I was when I got there. I texted the link and a pic of the deal worksheet to whoever I was talking to and they told me to drive up that they had a 300S with more options for the same price. So I did. When I get there they had a sold ticket on the 300s I was told about. I asked to speak with Jim because I was interested in the Red Dodger R/T they had also. No joke they offered me beverages and snacks through text when I arrived. When I got there no such thing after just driving an hour to see them. Jim sat me down and asked me to fill out a credit app after starting to a told him I just did this on line last night. He was like "oh yea here it is". Then while looking at my credit he was like "wow, this wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be" then he basically made fun of me cause I had quite a few inquiries. No big deal. Ive been looking for a great deal, what can I say. I showed him the deal worksheet I had from Hanford Chrysler that offered me $9800 for my trade and $1500 down. With the $4500 rebate and the discount of the car it took care of my negative equity, and the deal was to go through Chrysler Capital Finance. So he went in and talked to the finance guy a few times and then came out and said they would need at least $4k down as per Chrysler Financial and would only give me $6000 for my trade and preceded to say that Hanford was basically full of crap and wouldn't give me that much on my trade in. Basically said sorry with a smirk. I wasn't in this place but maybe 45 min and left. The only good thing was I was seen quickly. And pushed out quickly. I have to thank them though. I went back down to Hanford and took the deal. Got back to Hanford by 630pm and drove home to Visalia with my new Chrysler 300 given $9800 for my trade and even less down than the $1500 on the first deal. A lot less. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to this place. If you do don't work with Internet sales. Maybe you will be treated better.

Update on my jeep .3 months in the shop 3 months its back

These guys had my jeep June-August, 3 months to rebuild the whole car pretty much on a 4 year old grand Cherokee!!! My car is only 4 years old, I kept up on oil changes and maintenance and in June a valve malfunctioned and oil was sucked up ruining the engine. Gill had my car for 3 months...for 2 months they went back and forth lying to us everyday about the status of the car, saying they were working on the car when it was parked out front in the same spot it had been for weeks. Then finally say yes warranty will cover it so they started fixing the car. After Gill having the car for 3 months 3 months later I'm driving in downtown LA and same problem!! The car locks up and by the time I pull off it won't move at all! Get it into another jeep dealership down here and they say a valve failed!!! THE ENGINE IS 3 MONTHS OLD!! Amazing how a dealership that cares gets the same work done in 2 weeks! TWO WEEKS!! And this place is always busy yet they got my car in and out and were very apologetic for work they didn't even do. I'm so overly annoyed with this dealership and their poor work and poor morales! We were able to get ahold of Chrysler and formally complain about Gill! STAY SO FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! ZERO STARS!!! First dealing with them: When I was looking for a jeep I went here, they didn't have what I wanted on the lot, I was then told that model of jeep was a lot of car (I can't drive an suv because I'm a girl?! I lift weights for a profession I can handle a grand Cherokee) so I was pressured into looking at a lesser car. I wasn't too excited with what they had, I was kind of thinking about the jeep they showed me. When I said I was going to think about it I was told "Let's face it I can put this car on the Internet today and it will be gone Monday." SO RUDE! So I left and bought a jeep elsewhere! Second dealing with them: I took my jeep grand Cherokee in there after it sucked up oil and the engine got messed up. I had to fight them to get them to even see if the warranty would cover it, and surprise it did because it was a malfunction. They had my jeep for over 2 months!!! 1 whole month it sat while they twiddled their thumbs deciding what to do with it and wouldn't even give me a rental car until they decided the warranty would cover it. Then they tell us they want to rebuild the whole car since everything is out (it's only 4 years old), when we told them no they demanded the rental car they reluctantly gave us be brought back!!! I refused and when all was said and done 2 months later I call to find out when to pick it up and I'm told to call back in a few hours they're just putting the finishing touches on the car, call back and am told to call back they just need to drive it, call back and they say "we didn't finish it'll be ready Monday for sure"...well Monday came and I got the jeep back, empty tank of gas (thanks guys!!!) and it had been closed up and out in the sun on their lot for so long it's so stuffy!! I HATE THIS PLACE!!!! I will post this review everywhere!!! Seriously just keep going down the road, make a left on ave 12, hop on the 41 s, get off at Herndon and make a right, left on blackstone and keep going until you see jeep on the left!

Don't listen to anyone like think twice, listen to me!

Listen you are never ever going to please everyone, that's just life, but I just purchased a new Jeep Cherokee from Gill and believe me I have purchased many new cars, I could not have been treated better. Jeff Ault was my professional sales agent, and let me tell you, he knows his stuff! I drive a hard bargain and Jeff was up for the task at hand. They did not have the exact SUV we wanted, so they did a dealer trade from down south and got the car back before sunset, thank you Jeff for going the extra mile for us! They went ahead and let us take it home on Saturday, and said see ya Monday as our computers were acting up. Filled the car, said go enjoy, see ya Monday and we will fill it again, they did, took us into financing, no hard sales on the extended warranty stuff, but I did purchase the service contract, what a deal. Thank you Gill, Go see Jeff Go see Jeff Go see Jeff!!! John and Toni Lindsey Madera Ca
