These people robbed $1,800 from me last year in June 2020 during the height of the pandemic when I happened to suffer a total lack of work due to Covid 19. They ordered a mirror face-plate for me for my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited passenger side assembly. It was actually on my birthday I believe June 7, 2020. I woke up and was heading upstate NY to go for a long bike ride in the mountains. When I got in my car, I noticed that the mirror was missing from my Jeep (passenger side.) Apparently people will slide a knife or razor behind the mirror and steal it and resell them. The assembly was fine, just the mirror was gone. Wanting to be a good citizen and get this handled immediately and not have my birthday ruined by this I stopped at the first dealership across the George Washington Bridge which happened to be Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs. The guys took a look at the Jeep and gave me a price of $1,800 to replace the missing mirror. I knew in my head that this was a lot of money and felt like a ripoff. I also was aware that most business' had been shut down for months and were just starting to reopen at that time due to the pandemic and lockdowns. But wanting to just put it behind me and get it taken care of ASAP I gave them my AMEX and let them order the part which was going to take a couple of weeks then would be called and scheduled for an appointment to have it installed. 3-4 hours later after my bike ride it wasn't feeling right with me and I made a phone call to one of my childhood friends who owns a body shop in Staten Island, NY named Leonardo's Auto Body.I should've skipped JEEP of Englewood and went to him first I just wasn't thinkinG at the time. he did advise me that yes I was in fact being ripped off and said he would take care of it for me for $400. I immediately called AMEX and cancelled the charge and called Jeep of Englewood Cliffs and left a message on the machine letting them know I no longer needed the part or installation and that I had cancelled the charge with my credit card company. The following week my friend did the repair at his body shop. Im thinking everything is done and moved on with my life. Long story short weeks later I noticed the charge was back on my account with my credit card company. Me being FURIOUS as one could imagine started the dispute process. I submitted multiple forms of evidence including a receipt for the repair from Leonardo's, a written statement from the owner, and several time stamped photos. The charge was investigated by AMEX, taken off and put back on. this happened several times over the course of the next few months because the general manager of Englewood Cliffs kept on lying through his teeth and fighting it, went on a written record, lied some more and said they had done the work on my Jeep. the general manager is a lying xxxxxxx. I never even left the car there, they never even touched my Jeep but for some reason decided they were going to fight the dispute and ended up stealing $1800 from me which I ended up having to pay to AMEX and not even having my car touched once by these crooks. whatever you do, stay far away from these lying stealing xxxxxxxx.

Zero Stars would be too high for this place
Zero Stars would be too high for this place (or at least it’s Service Department). As you can see from their numerous other 1-star reviews, they are a stereotypical dealer service department that saw a young woman who obviously knew nothing about cars, decided she was a perfect “mark,” and ripped her off with an almost $4,000 (!) service bill. My daughter brought is our 2006 Jeep Commander with about 60,500 miles on it because the service light was on and the low air light was on. She was confused about which lights were on (she thought the check engine light was on) and told the service adviser, Kevin, she didn’t know what a check engine light looked like. Once it was established my daughter didn’t know much about cars and seemed inexperienced at dealing with a service department, this place went to town. 50,000 mile service, Brake pads and rotors, flush brake lines, front and rear differential fluid, transfer case service, emission system service, alignment …. $200 after $200 unit services covering two pages. All for a car that was running fine, but needed an oil change. But Kevin saw an opportunity and took advantage of a young inexperienced woman, told her all these items were necessary, and hit us up for $3,809 (after the $125 coupon Kevin applied — what a guy). Kevin at some point told me that these service items were necessary because my Jeep seemed like it had never been serviced. Since it was purchased, this vehicle has been serviced only at authorized Jeep dealers. It doesn’t get serviced a lot because it is driven under 4,000 miles per year. But Kevin was able to look up the service history. Note that the brakes they said needed to be replaced had been resurfaced not long ago. Kevin tried to say my daughter seemed knowledgeable about her car, until she reminded him that she told him she didn’t know what a check-engine light was. Taking advantage of someone and hitting them with a $3,800 repair bill for a car that KBB says has a trade-in value of $2,700 and $3,200 and a private sale value between $3,900 and $6,700 without discussing whether the service items make sense given the age and value of the car is almost criminal. For what it is worth, in justifying why he thought the $3,800 bill made sense, Kevin told me that my Commander really is worth $9,000 - $10,0000 (which of course still would not warrant the $3,800 spend on unnecessary repair items). So, if the sales people at Englewood Cliffs Jeep are watching, based on Kevin’s representation of my Commander’s value, I am happy to sell you my Commander for $10k right now. Just say the word and I will be right over with the title and the keys. I cannot warn you off this place enough. They are just not trustworthy and clearly believe they can take advantage of people (like my daughter) who seem inexperienced in dealing with his type of dealership. I thought the days of car dealers acting like they are con-artists; taking advantage of women and ripping off customers, were over, but I guess the “good old days” live on at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Englewood Cliffs. Run, don’t walk, from this place. Even just driving by, I would make sure you still have your wallet.

If I could of give this place zero stars I would have. I should have read the reviews about services before I brought my jeep in. The oil change light was blinking in my car so I made the appointment. The morning of the appointment I was sent a link to check in which I did. It stated oil change and I would have to pay $13.19. They also offered another service which stated $0.00. I figured this was accurate as it was my first time bringing in the car for an oil change since I got it October 2020. When I brought the truck in my miles were under 5000. I was told I have to get it fully serviced and that it would cost $515. I was beyond shocked because I did not come to have it service just the oil change. I was told that if I didn't get the truck serviced when it's due then if anything happened to the truck the claim could be denied. After speaking with my brother he said that's what they do a it's very dishonest. This is a new jeep that I only drive to run errands. I was told it's the 7500k service, I said sir I have not reached that amount it's still under 5000. NO ONE could of given me a reasonable answer as to why the bill was that amount. They said they had to rotate tires, check engine and all these things that I did not set the appointment for. My brother has a jeep as well from a different dealer in NJ and did not have to pay anything when he took his car in the 1st time. I literally called over `10 people who said that they basically was taking me for a ride to get money. But by the time I started to question it more the guy said " it's too late they already finish" I said already it's not even an hour yet it's $500 bill he then said it's about another 15 min. I am highly disgusted and annoyed with this dealership and I won't be returning anymore. It's highly dishonest to charge a person all these things when all they asked for was an oil change and to make matters worse when I checked in the price I was told i needed to pay was not over $500! Telling someone there claim won't be approved if something was to happen to it because the jeep is not fully serviced is also dishonest and disgusting! I am now working with the leasing company and a lawyer to get rid of my contract and work with another jeep dealership! I would much rather buy out my contract and give the car back because I do not plan on ever working with them anymore!

Extremely disappointed with the manager Tim Sweeny and the way he treated a returning customer of his. We agreed upon a lease price and he happily took my deposit and ran a hard credit check (MISTAKE #1)…which I felt comfortable doing being that I went this route with him 6 months ago and it went smoothly. He told me he’d have to get it from another dealer and it’d take about a week to get. A week goes by and I reach out to him and low and behold he wasn’t able to “swap” a vehicle and therefore was unable to get the agreed upon vehicle. He then tells me that I can go purchase the vehicle at another dealership that has the vehicle and “they should honor the price I gave you.” Ha, yeah ok…tried that already at the recommended dealer and the price wasn’t even close…and now all of a sudden, another dealer will honor HIS price!? His second option was to give him some more time, more money and he “should” be able to get a slightly more expensive vehicle because the dealership he “works with” has 3 of them.. I chose this option (MISTAKE #2) because he now has my time, money and credit check. A week goes by…no word from Tim and now he’s no longer responding to my text messages, which clearly was a sign he couldn’t get the vehicle. After two days of texting he finally replies that the dealership won’t give him the vehicle (again) and he’ll refund the deposit but he can’t help me! Sooooo now that he took 3 weeks of my time, a security deposit (that I’m still waiting for), and a hard credit check, he can no longer help?! My current Jeep lease expires in 6 days (which Tim knew from the beginning) and now I’m stuck rushing last minute for another…but more importantly another credit check ran so soon by another dealer will seriously affect my score. I’m so disappointed with Tim and the way he just stopped responding to my texts and just gave up on helping me. Being that inventory is low now in all dealerships, Tim (and I’m sure his staff) will promise a vehicle, ask for your money and then just give up on you if they can’t “swap” for it. Although Tim was a nice, easy to talk to and down to earth guy I’ve done business with in the past, he will screw you just like any other dealer out there…and I’m proof of that.

No thanks. I already pleaded with Tim multiple times for his assistance in locating a different vehicle (one in which I didn’t even want) and he flat out refused stating he didn’t have any and/or they were out of my budget. Refund my $500 and I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere with 3 days left on my lease. Thanks again Tim.

On May 5th, 2021, you "RIPPED OFF" MY (naive) DAUGHTER in your Service Department with your bogus 15k Service plus UNNEEDED WHEEL ALIGNMENT, UNNEEDED EMISSION SYSTEM SERVICE, INFLATED AIR FILTER AND WIPER BLADE CHARGES, $7 TOPPING OFF WIPER FLUID (??!!) AND SOMEHOW DID THIS "thorough service" with $700 IN LABOR COSTS (in spite of what your "book" allows) with 2 people in ONE hour & 20 minutes?? I also need a detailed list of $60.72 in Miscellaneous Charges (??!!) She was stressed with getting one (of my) grandchild to school and the other (grandchild) INFANT screaming. She does not have the experience i have had in my 68 yrs. going after Car Dealerships for fraud and i wonder, based on your disgusting reviews, if you ever try to seek REMEDY to these issues before i attempt to elevate to various authorities and Agencies? Feel free to contact me via email or phone before i visit your dealership.

Stereotypes about car dealers were born here. This is the most unethical dealership I have ever attempted to do business with. After informing Jose that we were driving two hours to look at a certain car and booking an appointment for Friday 3/19 to test drive, we emailed him on Monday to confirm that the car was still available. No communication in the meantime. We got a call around 10:30 Friday morning asking if we could wait until 3pm because someone had put a deposit down on the car but they had bad credit. Jose was off on Thursday...but the car we were coming to look at was pending sale on Wednesday. Not contacting us to let us know this just tells me that Jose is okay with wasting people's time. If he feels that entitled to waste my time, then I should feel entitled to billing him for the gas, tolls, and my overtime rate since I took a day off. Secondly, why do I care about the credit of these other people? And why is that a professional thing to say to another interested party? I get it. They put down a deposit and we didn't; lesson learned...despite that such an option was not offered to us. Interesting. Like I said, I'm not upset that the car sold; that's their job. Their customer service process was atrocious. Even if Jose was off on Thursday, there's no notes or SalesForce type something for someone else to look at? Does anyone think Jose would mind getting a call on his day off to let him know that one of his appointments for the next work day needs attention? And then maybe an hour before I wrote this Jose has the gall to email my wife and send a list of recommended cars with a reminder to put down a deposit? Are you kidding? I will actively tell people to stay away from this dealership and most of the text of this review is adapted from the complaint I submitted to FCA Corporate. As of this review being edited at 9:38PM on 3/23, the vehicle that was pending sale is still listed on their website. Did it not sell? That's unfortunate.

Hi Marilyn, Thanks for your response. Left you a voicemail earlier this morning. Looking forward to your call.
AVOID SERVICING YOUR CAR HERE. THEY WILL SCAM YOU!
If I can just help save one person from making a mistake servicing their car here, it'll all be worth it. They will try to scam you into paying for repairs you don't even need. Please look at the photos below. I went in for a recall repair and heard some strange noises and asked them about it. Lets forget for a moment that these people charge $195 ( tax and "Misc Charges") just to see "what's wrong" with the car (or make up things so they get more business) when BMW charges 170!!. They then quoted me 2400 for the "necessary repairs", told me the car is dangerous to drive, said they had to wait for the recall part to come in, and told me they couldn't keep the car there on their lot until that part came in. I drove 5 minutes away to Meineke and was told that the problem could be fixed for $400!! Please please please, for the sake of your wallet, read the estimates below and make your own decision. Don't get screwed over by these people. They don't care about anything but money and themselves and I should have seen that when I first walked in and saw 3 guys behind the desk without masks. This place needs to be investigated.
