Not a happy customer
I bought a CPO Infiniti QX60 online with about 19k miles on it and had my son drive it to NM. Then the problems started: 1. When the car arrived, my other teenage son noticed some noticeable scratches and bubbling in the paint within 2 minutes of seeing it. I specifically asked about the exterior and have a video stating there were no scratches or cosmetic issues. They did end up giving me $700 as a good will gesture towards a $1,200 bill; I felt the entire cost to repair the paint should have been covered, but we compromised. 2. The tires triggered a low-pressure warning when the weather got cold, which we understand happens; however, when I went to put air in the tires the back tire read 55lbs of pressure. I checked it with two different gauges and the same pressure was read on each gauge. The other three tires were all around where they should be, about 33lbs. The max tire pressure on these tires is 44lbs. This is outright dangerous, and I feel their dealership put my son at risk of a blowout on his way to New Mexico. It’s concerning that a vehicle left their dealership like this. Remember this was a CPO vehicle. 3. The transmission started causing trouble at 25k miles. The local Infiniti dealership replaced the valve body under warranty; the vehicle was in their repair shop for two weeks while they worked through the testing and warranty process. I received the vehicle back and two days later the transmission starting causing more trouble. After having it towed back to the local Infiniti dealership, the entire transmission was replaced after another two weeks. I asked the technician how this could happen with only 25k miles. He asked where we bought it and asked about the history; he specifically asked if it was abused. No way to tell for sure, but my guess is it was. 4. I relayed what I knew and said that the dealership sent me an Experian report stating no accidents; he looked it up on Carfax and found an accident. It’s concerning that I was given a report that showed no accidents when there was another well-known reporting service, Carfax, that did show an accident on this vehicle. I am probably most upset with this as I felt like I was outright lied to. If they try to give you an Experian report, you might want to check Carfax. I understood this vehicle to be certified preowned and that it underwent a thorough inspection process. The paint bubbles and the over-inflated tire say otherwise. CPO does not give you additional warranty from my understanding by the way. You have to buy another warranty. So when you are looking at CPO; especially, from this dealership, I would not put much weight on it. This has been the worst car-buying experience I’ve had. I don’t enjoy driving the vehicle and feel I can’t trust it. There’s a sense of wondering what will happen next and where my family and I might be left stranded. If you are buying a vehicle from this dealership without seeing it in person, beware that they may not look it over too closely when buying it or getting it ready to sell to you. Please check it carefully if you are buying it in person. Maybe have your own mechanic check it over. I have sent this complaint over to them and still have not heard back. I am very disappointed in them and Infiniti!
