Do NOT Recommend Keyes Hyundai Van Nuys

I honestly don't know where to begin. This was the most disturbing, negative and unprofessional experience I've ever encountered with any business in my entire life. Let's start with the salesperson named Siuzanna Asratian because I'm still recovering from her emotional hostility and borderline harassment that she's put me through. I purchased the car and scheduled a pick up for the next day. When I returned to pick it up, Siuzanna was assigned to demo it for me. Upon me inspecting the vehicle, I noticed a small but noticeable damage on the bottom left corner under the headlight. I pointed it out to Siuzanna and asked her to note it in the report as I know it's my legal right, so that I don't get blamed for it upon me returning the car at the end of the lease. She laughed at me. I had to ask again and she said the will call the manager. The manager came and handled it by giving me the signed paper. Right then at the spot I decided that I want it fixed, after all, why wouldn't I? When I told Siuzanna I want it fixed, she proceeded questioning me as to why I asked the proof of the damage on paper. I told her because the service is already closed for the day and I can't leave the lot without documenting the damage, because then I don't have any proof that it's a preexisting damage. So, whether I want it fixed or not, I still need it documented. She then proceeded harassing me with the raised voice that I'm obligated to trust her word and cannot exercise my legal right to have preexisting damage documented. If I have to trust your word, why did I sign the lease then? Just trust my word that I'll be paying for the car every month! I was shocked! I then repeated again that I had the damage documented so that I could leave the lot and I want it fixed because why wouldn't I? She then continued harassing me in demeaning tone that I must trust them and that they had cameras as a proof of damage! What? How can security cameras capture small damage under the headlight of the car? When I pointed to her that she refuses me my legal right, she just mocked me and exclaimed again that customers must just trust her word blindly and not have any documented proof for preexisting damages before leaving the lot! I was so speechless and I still am, a week later. On top of it all, they drove my car for extra 6 miles between the time I purchased it and the time I picked it up the very next day. Extra miles that, of course, will be included in my limit. I already can't wait for my lease to be over, so that I can return the car and forget this terrible, emotionally disturbing and hostile experience that Siuzanna put me through once and for all. Please save yourself your nerve cells and shop at any other Hyundai dealer.

Ripped off by dealer

Bought a used vehicle and was charged $2,000 extra in "security" add-ons, which was around 20% of the original price. Brought in their store coupon for $250 and they didn't apply it. One of the security devices was not compatible with my vehicle, so I paid $695 and got nothing in return. So far, they refuse to refund my money, and will only discuss this in person. During the pandemic I prefer that we work this out on the phone, but the general manager refuses. This has caused me a lot of stress, because I don't like to get ripped off. I have various ways to recover the money, however. The California Attorney General would look at the $695 charge as fraudulant.

Be aware-

Hope this review offers some advice to anyone who's looking to purchase a vehicle here. Long story short, our salesperson, Faisal Islam, was trying to sell us off a USED vehicle for a new car. We visited this location twice, and today, we went in to actually purchase the vehicle. After two hours of stressful price negotiation, we proceeded into the finance office to complete the paperworks in buying new 2019 HYUNDAI Sonata SE. When we were signing the paperworks, one of the paperworks mentioned "used car," and when we questioned about the details of the form (since we are buying new vehicle), the finance manager, Lucine Martirosian, then informed us this 2019 Sonata SE that we were planning to buy was actually RETURNED from previous customer with over 100 miles in mileage. No one was able to provide us with a clear answer on why the vehicle was returned by previous customer. Not only were we not informed about this vehicle being categorized as USED on papers previous to this paperwork process (no one even bother to inform of this used status), their attitudes in handling this matter was not very professional at all. Lucine, the finance manager, was continuously trying to argue with us asking why we would not purchase this vehicle, when it's considered as "USED" only on paperworks, and that car itself will operate totally fine as new vehicle . She tried to fight me by saying that she would still buy this vehicle since it's technically new and marked USED only on paper. (She later apologized, and said she's only in the middle. Yes, exactly, why does she even care?) In addition, she stated that we are purchasing it for a lower price, because it was categorized as used (not a single portion of discount was due to such reason). Our salesman, Faisal, and the other finance manager was all very aware that we were there to buy a NEW 2019 SONATA SE white. On the other hand, It's very hard to understand that Faisal, the salesperson, was not "aware" of this car being sold as used, when he knew that this 2019 Sonata SE (white) was the very last one they had in inventory. Not only was he aware that this vehicle was the last White 2019 Sonata SE in inventory, Faisal was aware of us coming in today to purchase NEW 2019 Sonata SE, white. When we asked him if he knew that this vehicle is categorized as USED, he acted shock, but was aware of the EXACT mileage in this car, in which he NEVER mentioned throughout the negotiation at all. We obviously did not end up buying this vehicle. However, they have already ran Hard Inquiry on my brother's credit check, which lowered the credit score, in which there is no compensation at all for. I would personally recommend more transparent dealership, but if you insist on buying a NEW vehicle at this location, just check more thoroughly to ensure that you are actually purchasing a NEW vehicle, not only in operation but also on document for your own sake.

xxxx Dealer - Bait and Switch, Scamming

The reviews about bait and switch and dishonest dealings are real. These guys are pure xxxx, I don't think I have ever done business with a worse company before. Be sure you do your homework before coming in, what the retail price should be, what was the internet advertised price, what other dealers are offering, what Hyundai's CPO program is. They will take every effort to scam you. We went in because of an advertised $12.2K price for a Certified Pre-Owned car. It was a very good deal as advertised, more than a thousand cheaper than any other listing. In the online listing there is even a picture of the window sticker with the price. Once we go in, the price on the window sticker is actually $20K, and the "final price" is even more because of supposed "add-ons" (theft protection, etc.) that supposedly the dealer adds on to all their cars and can't take off. We show them the online ad, and they act like they could not believe the online price was real. Verbal exchanges over the next few minutes include "that's not the car" "yes, it is, it is the exact VIN number" "we can't take the add-ons off, you have to pay for them" "the ad says final price, it's deceptive advertising" "final price is just our cost" "do Hyundai CPO cars include the 10year/100K warranty?" "no, you have to pay extra for that".... After many minutes of back and forth, the two sales people working with us literally get up from the desk and leave. Not a word about why, are they coming back or not, they just get up and leave. My wife and I sat there for a couple minutes, confused, then angry, and then decide to leave. As we are walking out, someone else sees how upset we are, and tries to fix the situation by getting some sort of manager. He starts working with us, and the original salesman comes back and says he got the manager for us "because he likes us" *eyeroll*. The manager says he can give us the internet price, but we have to pay for the roughly $2K in add-ons (which are completely useless) and another $1600 for the certification of the pre-owned vehicle. I have purchased CPO cars before and have never heard the CPO not included in the price. I quickly google and it looks like some Hyundai dealers try to pull this scam to add on extra money. I reply that either we get the internet price or we walk. The manager goes back to his office and after half an hour comes back to say they will sell us the car for $13.4K, $1.2K more than advertised. That price is actually a fair price for the car, and matches the lowest listing we could find online (but no longer a deal), and we decide to take it. At this point, one would hope the scamming would stop. I wanted to see the financing rates. I knew Hyundai was advertising 1.9% interest on CPO cars and wanted to see what their rate was. We make good money, my wife is a physician, our credit scores are all 750+, but they come back with 3.19%. Not only that, but the monthly price is $8 per month higher than if you took the purchase price and plug it into google's car loan calculator. $8 a month of hidden fees added in on top of the interest. I pull up 1.9% advertised rate and they go back into a room. Half an hour later, they decide that we do qualify for 1.9%, and the extra $8 per month in fees is no longer there. It took another two hours to proceed to actually signing paperwork. The person you sign with, Mr. Chung, is actually competent and polite. When we go over the Certified Pre-Owned program details, and guess what, we do in fact get the 10yr/100K warranty, there is no extra cost. I guess all the lying was just "negotiation". Even though they had swiped our credit card for $5K as a downpayment, they tried to finance us the FULL PRICE OF THE CAR, conveniently "forgetting" we had already paid $5K down. There was one final scam during paperwork signing. All the "add-ons" that they wanted to charge $2K for and we ended up negotiating down to $1.2K, they aren't actually included because "we didn't want to bu
