Great

We had a great experience in our purchase with salesman Noel. The trade in amount was more than fair, very happy with the overall process. Go see him, very down to earth and helpful.

Took over 30 minutes for salesman to assist us. Then provided poor customer service

Thank you for your input. I would like to address your concern but I can not find any information that will identify your salesperson or your experience in our records. If you would like to call the dealership and discuss this as this behavior is not acceptable. We pride ourselves our a great customer experience, product and process to ensure a complete customer satisfaction.

unethical practices

On Thursday I had agreed to purchase a pre-owned vehicle from Springfield Imports-I had been visiting with the same Springfield Imports salesperson over a 3-4 week period about the vehicle. I paid to have the vehicle inspected on Wednesday and made an offer that day. The offer was accepted by Springfield Imports on Thursday but I was told that the deal could not be closed until Monday since the dealership was changing owners. I offered to leave a deposit or pay in full but was told that this was not necessary. On Friday I received a voice message telling that the car that could not be sold until Monday was sold on Friday to another buyer for a greater sale price than our agreed price. I spoke with both the salesperson, who claimed no involvement in the matter, and later the used sales manager who seemed to be surprised by my displeasure with this unethical practice. His focus was upon Springfield Imports selling the vehicle for more than our agreed upon sale price. In my foolishness, I was surprised by the lack of integrity of Springfield Imports along with their inability to recognize why I was concerned by the manner in which they manipulated the truth-they lied! I have corresponded with both GMs of Springfield Imports and they have failed to react/respond to this matter.

2 cars, 2 home runs

We've bought 2 new volkswagens here. A 2010 Passat, and a 2013 Jetta. The buying experience on both was the most hassle free experience ever! While the service department didn't at first impress me, they have consistently improved since late 2012. As of today, (August 2015) I'm completely comfortable with their service.

Tried to charge for warranty repair.

I purchased my new GTI from a different dealer 4 hours away because they had the car I wanted and the price was fair. The first time I drove at night I noticed an accent light in the passenger door panel was not working. When I took the car to Volkswagen of Springfield they fixed the light. It was not connected inside the door panel. The staff acted like I was a burden to them by being there. Then when I picked my car up I was told I would have to pay for the repair. They said the dealer I bought the car from should have been the one to fix it because the problem should have been detected during the delivery inspection. Because of this VW would not pay them for the repair. The service writer then started whining about how are they going to pay their technician. So, the customer of a VW should be required to drive back to the dealer 4 hours away because of a problem that started at the factory? How is a car coming out of the factory with a defect my problem? No charges were authorized by me. I refused to pay and will not return to this dealership again. I have another dealer within the same distance from my home that will get the remainder of my business.

what a joke

This place is a total joke. Been waiting around for 5 hours to find out they just started changing my oil! This is the second and last time I will be burned by this ridiculous place. The service adviser I had is extremely rude and has no problem talking down to you. I'm done with this place and I will have no problem telling people

Buying my second new Volkswagen from this dealership was as rewarding as buying the first. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are pleased with your purchase. You will know your new VW inside and out before you drive it out of the showroom, and should you have a question days or months later, they are still happy to assist.

Working with Bill was a great experience. There was some...

Working with Bill was a great experience. There was some mechanical issues with the car my daughter wanted and he worked to get it taken care of. They delivered the car to us 60 miles away thanks to Bill. Within the 30 days the oil issue was still an issue. I called Bill and he has done an amazing job working with me to get the oil issue fixed and Springfield Imports is covering the cost! If you want a REAL salesman who cares about more than himself Bill is who you want as your salesman. He has been amazing and I would recommend him if you want what a sales person is supposed to be....not what you normally get with a slick salesman!!!! Thank you Bill for making my daughter happy and helping to remedy the oil issue! They do not come better than Bill Hall!

Customer service is terrible. Did not feel valued as a potential new customer. We were basically told we wanted to much car for the price we wanted to spend. We DID purchase a 2012 Jetta... at the dealership down the road, not at Springfield Volkswagen. And we purchased it at the price point we wanted. My family would not recommend Springfield Volkswagen to anyone! We had a bad experience there and will not be going back.
