Our daughter loves this car!

Great mid-size, 4 WD, since we live rurally, vehicle for our daughter. She loves the sun roof, leather seats, and sideboards. I'm not normally a big Ford fan, but this vehicle suits our daughter's needs perfectly. Our dentist and dental hygienist both have owned several and highly recommend, especially older models, of the Ford Escapes as well.

Most reliable car I have owned.

It has been a reliable car for 16 years. It has about 203,000 miles. It works well for transporting food for our Meals on Wheels clients.

Good Value for the Escape

I am fortunate to have found a great little rig for the value. The mileage was higher than I wanted, however the cleanliness of the rig inside and out was over the top! This with the excellent service of Family Auto when test-driving and purchasing the Suv made it a pleasant evening all the way around.

I couldn't be happier with my first car.

For a day-to-day school commuter, this vehicle has proven to be quite capable. It is a little thirsty on gas, but that might just be due to me still refining my driving, as I am only 17. from the occasional opportunities I have got to ride in another seat, I can say that the ride is not too soft, but not too firm. I can also say that leg room for big people is fairly adequate, as I am not the smallest person. It's easy to drive, and easy to park. cargo space is good, and all the equipment on this XLS with a 3.0 V6 still works. the lack of AWD has sometimes been a bit of a hassle in the winter, but through careful footwork and gentler driving I was able to overcome this. My car is starting to rust, but that is to be expected of a car that doesn't get parked in a garage and is 15 years old. I expect this car to keep going and be very useful to me over the next years.

Really liked it except for transmission issue

I loved my escape, good size, decent gas mileage but unfortunately the transmission was a terrible issue. I had to have it replaced almost a year after I got it, then again 2 years ago. I bought it in 2012. Just had in in shop again, luckily this time it was for the transmission sensor being bad, but to close of a call again so I just traded it in. Maybe I got a sour apple in the bunch but I will say if it wasn't for that issue I would have stayed with the escape as my next car.
