2010 Ford Escape consumer reviews

This car I bought used at 3 years old and 52K mi, I now have 87K on it. It is fairly decent on gas. The only problem I have had with it is the car seems to have a problem with bypassing the anti theft system in order to start. I have it to be serviced again. I had an ignition switch replaced 6 mo ago and it started having this problem again. It would start right up after turning key after pushing it in in ignition. then sometimes it wouldn't . it would take 10 to 15 minutes to get it started. The last time I had to leave it at the grocery store parking lot and getting it towed after 45 minutes of doing this

Sucks. Controls are weird hard to use. Things do not make any sense at all. Wish I would have went on down the road. Sucks

This vehicle has met all my work and family needs. I travel a lot in my work and it has proven to be very reliable and comfortable to drive long distances.

Not to good explorer what I was looking for been dealing with this escape piece Of xxxx and still I got sent to recall probably a year ago called to set it up three weeks For an appointment what̺͆ i̺͆ I got told I work for a living and now there’s more and more recalls from what I just looked up! Very hard to find mechanic to fix this because of the fix or press that you called it! Now I’m a fan of had a problem my steering wheel moving, Been going on for at least three months! But if I turn my wheel my steering wheel couple times each way it starts! I’ve got in my truck and prayed it was going to start One more time. I’m sure it’s gonna leave me stranded somewhere as I just looked up my wheel bearing and saw all these recalls honestly xxxxing ridiculous

If you like boxy suv styling this truck is nice. Do not get the 4cyl. Way too slow. I get passed at red lights all day long. Doesn’t shift too well in cold weather. If the car is for mainly city driving it’s fine. Not for country roads.

I liked this 2010 Escape so much that I purchased a 2018 Ford Escape on 5 December 2018. Unfortunately, the 2010 was totalled September 2017 which is why I bought another. However, I do not like the 2018 vehicle design. This 2018 reminds me of a fish without its fin. There is less rearview vision with the 2018, than with the 2010. I keep hoping Ford will become original again and get square! Otherwise, Ford Escape looks like a Toyota! And, that is not good.

I am very pleased with my used purchase. Love the metallic blue exterior love the comfort. Enjoy the features. Very useful to travel to work. The radio is good. Handles Really nice. It?s a 6 cylinder and good on gas.

This was my daughter's car and she used it though high school and college. She was never stranded. We only had to put brakes and tires on it. No major repairs.

This a vehicle when compaired to honda crv or toyota rav 4 is far more capable in the snow as it is heavier and has wider vehicle stance, the 3.0 ltr engine is a good perfomer, although the vehicle has a noisy engine , tire noise, you will get used to those noises, gas mileage w/ v6 engine is good 22 mpg city, highway, streight high hiway 24, does not need too much maitenance, if you do scheduled maitenance, bought used 2010 escape with 52k miles drove it to 95k miles, because looses to much trade in value will go through 10" of snow but must not go over 40 mph, had 2012 ford escape limited bough used with 71k miles, trade in at 96k miles, I sugest if want an escape to look at 2009 to 2012 escapes, 2014 or newer body style tires are very low profile, thus not very good in snow, 2.0 ltr 4 cyl ecoboost or tubo charged engine bad gas mileage city hiway 19 mpg this worse then v6, the 2010 - 2012 audio system even on premium system sound quality is poor, not much for nav, so if you need or a good infotainment system i sugest going up to a 2014 edge but sync 2 still had some issues so sync 3 is much better and came out 2016 vehicles, so the newer escape has very boyant spongy ride, narrow front drivers side leg room, engine is quieter but not good in snow and poor gas mileage, so 2010 to 2012 escape is better in snow more solid on road, and better mpg, so thats my view, and if you drive both body styls and see what works for you you will know if like the newer style.

This is a great vehicle that fits the needs for my family so well. Safe, dependable, good mpg, and will work so well in all types of weather.
