2010 Ford Escape consumer reviews

This vehicle has been a nightmare; I've put way too much time & money into this car since I've owned it. I've had to replace the transmission twice 13 months apart. It never throws any codes or lights until I'm broke down on the side of the road and sometimes not even then. It struggles with acceleration and shifts in high RPMs and very erratically. The mechanic shops have not been able to figure out this cause after replacing tons of parts, it still drives rough.

The car has been good on gas mileage, i like having a 4WD that averages 25mpg, have put about 50K miles on it with only minor up keep for a car with almost 200K it gas been a good car doe past 4years

This is a workhorse for me and never lets me down. I travel hundreds of miles for my work. Many of these mikes are in rural, really rural, no cell service, gas stations, or people for hundreds of miles. I need a car that get good milage, is safe, reliable and comfortable. I bought this car new and it now has 150,000 miles on it. I have only had one problem with the computer and breaking system. Fixed and no more issues. I want to drive it till it has nothing left z d then i want to buy anothrt just like it, only new.

Plenty of power! Bad torque steer, every window motor/elevator has broken and window fall down in door, shifter rod lock bad, rear hatch latch won’t release,2 wheel bearings have went bad ( I know to except wear and tear), rear interior overhead light bad, most interior trim loosens up all the time ( no bumpy roads!). Most problems are interior! Cheaply made! Tired of replacing items continuously ! 🤬

Love my new car well new to me. Super clean inside and out and you can tell it was taken care of. So much room I love it.

This vehicle has 3 active recalls and should have two more. They try not to honor warranties by pushing service and repairs outside the coverage. If I could afford a new suv right now it would be gone.

This vehicle is in great condition despite being 9 years old. Mileage was pretty low, interior and exterior looks great and runs good. Rides nice and quiet. Hopefully it will be a reliable car but we just bought it yesterday so time will tell.

I am so disappointed in Ford. This is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned in 30 years of buying Fords. I have had nothing but problems with this 2010 escape from the throttle body going out to the defective transmission that Ford apparently knew were bad and has done nothing to replace them. I will be trading this in for another SUV but it wont be a Ford. I am done with Ford vehicles. And now I am having issues with my Ford Explorer....looks like Ford will lose a long family line of Ford owners. If they dont seem to care about their customers anymore, I will no longer trust my familys safety to them.

I am totally going to miss this car when I replace it. It now has 130,000 miles on it. Maybe I will replace it with another Ford Escape!

Good for our needs and good on gas. Just wish dealer would take calls or return them like. They said they wood. Low miles nice car fax
