My wife loves the car.
My wife loves the car. She will buy the same car. It is very good in the snow. Room to store things. Easy to drive.

Best car I've owned in 40 years of driving.
I had owned trucks for 35 years and wanted to get an SUV. I went to my local Chevy dealer and he suggested a Ford Escape.I had never heard of one, so I took it for a test drive. I was impressed with its comfort and driveability. I went home and did some research and the reviews were all positive. I wanted a 5 passenger car with all wheel drive and good MPG, this met my needs and exceeded expectations. I live in Maine and it is great in the snow and seats 5 comfortably. It averages 24 MPG which is great. I have had it 3 years and it is the best car I have owned. I put 20,000 miles or or more each year on it with little maintenance. I would and do highly recommend the Escape to others. If it ever wears out I would certainly buy another.

Best car I've owned in 40 years of driving.
I purchased this car after owning trucks for 35 years. I wanted a 5 passenger SUV that was economical but roomy enough to transport my family and/ or clients comfortably. I had never even heard of a Ford Escape before taking one for a test drive at my local dealer. I was impressed with its performance and after doing an online search regarding their reliability, I decided to purchase it. I have had it for 3 years now. It is comfortable , has all- wheel drive and gets about 24MPG. Also I live in Maine where snow is a given but I never have had any transportation problems since owning it. I would highly recommend it to others. I have 147 000 miles on it now and it runs like new. I will certainly replace it with another Escape if and when this one wears out.

Best Car Ever
We bought this car in 2010 for a commuter car for my husband to go back and forth to work 50 miles each way 100 miles a day. Today it has 215,000 miles and going strong. This car has been so reliable the only thing other than normal maintenance has been replacing the water pump. So impressed by this car we jus bought the 2018 Escape

One of the best vehicles to be driving in the snow
This is the best vehicle I've owned. Between the interior space and AWD I see no reason to not recommend this vehicle to others.

2010 2.5L vs 2008 V6, Both Great
Finally decided to bite the bullet and replace my trusty 2008 Ford Escape V6 with about 220,000 miles on the original engine and transmission with something a little newer since the old one needed quite a bit of work (it needed new spark plugs, shocks all the way around, brake pads and rotors, and tires). Since the old one had been so reliable with no engine or transmission problems I went with another Escape, this time around a 2010 with the 2.5L four cylinder. It's not as smooth as the V6 in my previous Escape but it returns a fair 23MPG average vs 17MPG in the 2008 V6 model. The 2.5L engine is definitely not very powerful, and while it's not so noticeable in the city, merging on the highway or passing leads to a lot of noise with very little results, even with no passengers or cargo in the vehicle. The 6-speed automatic transmission isn't as smooth as the 4-speed automatic in the older one, but it helps the vehicle achieve better fuel economy. The ride quality and handling of the 2010 is a good improvement over the 2008 (since in 2009 they made some changes) and it's nice having factory Bluetooth, and the stock stereo is plenty good. I'd say my favorite feature on the newer one is the display of estimated miles to E, average MPG, and real-time fuel economy in the gauge cluster. Very handy! I drive a lot, and just like my previous Escape, everything is well laid out and it is comfortable to drive for many hours at a time. My only complaint is that the steering wheel doesn't telescope in and out for perfect adjustment, but with the power seats I can still find a good seating position. Long story short, I'm happy with my 2010 Escape, though I would strongly suggest the strong and smooth V6 engine instead of the lackluster and coarse four cylinder.

Good 4x4 for the money
Although slightly underpowered. The escape is extremely reliable. Great value. Good options. Possibly buying second one.

Reliable no frills easy daily driver
A great and simple car. No frills but the bluetooth was nice. I never had any issues with it and put 123k miles on it. Had to put new tires and brakes but nothing major ever broke on it and I drove it from CA to KS multiple times.
