Good Value, VERY Reliable, Easy to Maintain

We purchased a 2010 Ford Escape Limited in November of 2015. The car wasn't sent to a dealer until September, and sold in October. The Escape we bought was a classic example of "grocery runs, church, and a couple of events" kind of driver. At 5 years old, the car only had 36,000 miles. After a quick test drive, and the trade in of our ageing 2007 Chrysler Aspen that was just exhausted, we were off with the Escape. I do not know if we would have bought this vehicle if we had more time, but it was there for us when we needed it most. Our dealer was amazing, and the warranty was also very good. Now, let's get into what I think of the 2010 Ford Escape. Pros: -Reliability: We have owned it for 2 years, and all have done is a tire change and routine maintenance. These things were built to last! -Trunk: Good size for a car of this size and for the money. -Comfort: The seats are wonderful, not too soft but not too hard. Our's also has heated seats. -Moonroof: We didn't see this online, but it has been a nice feature now that we have it. -Price: We paid $13,500 for ours when we bought it, and it is still worth $10,000 right now. We really love the affordability for a Crossover! Cons: -Legroom in Backseat: The front legroom is EXCELLENT, but the rear is a little tight. Not uncomfortably tight, but the seats could be a little less deep for more legroom. -A/C in Rear: We really don't like this one. There are no A/C vents in the ceiling or on the center console, and it can get hot quickly. The air will reach to the back from the front eventually. -Trailer Hitch: We would have liked a hitch for a small UHAUL or a bike rack. -Material used in Front: The black plastic is extremely hard to keep clean, but it is very functional. -Power: Our's is only the 4CYL, we would have liked a V6 more. -4WD: We also regret not getting one with 4WD in Ohio Winters, we are thinking about purchasing an older Escape (2000-2003) with 4WD for short commutes in winter with high miles and no amenities.

Love this SUV

Drives great, has been super reliable. And It gets excellent fuel mileage. The seats could be a bit more plush.

Looking forward to owning it

Strictly from the test drive, it handled well and drove extremely smoothly. And the interior was very attractive. Very spacious easy to pack loads into it.

Did not like at all

Compared to other cars I have test drove, this one sucked the most. The vents in the Escape were very weird. I felt like I was sitting in the floor board and hugging the steering wheel. Not comfortable at all.

Average commuter SUV

The Ford Escape is nice, it had a couple of engine issues but was fixed. While driving on the high it can be a bit loud, but overall the vehicle is great. I would definitely recommend the V6 engine of the 4 cylinder.
