2013 Ford Escape consumer reviews

I'm actually just picking it up, would be my first time driving it other than for the test drive. It was very comfortable and it drove smooth. Hoping it continues to do so.

I was looking for a Toyota or Honda, but after test driving a Ford Escape with eco boost, I was done looking!! I enjoy EVERY minute that I drive! I couldn't be more thrilled with my choice!

I bought a 2013 escape with only 7k miles on it thinking that Ford has been a great company and I was getting a reliable vehicle. You can look up all the recalls yourself. Besides the recalls I have had to replace the transmission at 80k miles, all the transmission fluid leaked out overnight causing something inside to break. The owners manual recommends a flush at 150k miles, but nothing before. I was told by the dealer that "you should never have to change the transmission fluid throughout the life of the vehicle". Even I know that's not true, but even if it is, why would it all leak out? Also, there was no warning light, nothing telling me that it was even low. Then they wanted $5384 to replace it with a refurbished one that they would guarantee for 3 years unlimited miles. But couldn't explain why they couldn't guarantee the original for the same, other than to say they make them for 60k miles and that's it. Now I'm having to replace a timing solenoid, yet the mechanic has ordered the wrong part 2x because the correct part is on a fiesta not an escape. I had to go look at the pics of these things until we found the right one. Now I don't know whether to say I'm driving an escape with a fiesta engine or an escape and of course ford can't answer any of my questions. They don't stand behind their product, they got their money and that's all they care about. My family has been a ford family for many years, but this is the last one I will ever buy. In fact I wouldn't take one if they gave it to me because I know I'll be spending as much in repairs as the purchase price.

We purchased this car brand new in 2013. It has been the worse car we have ever owned. 14 recalls, transmission replaced, sseveral coolant leaks,radiator replaced. Ford should give people there money back for this piece of junk. My family will never, ever buy another ford. I have been stranded so many times, it's not even funny. The dealership service dept just shake there heads when I show up. We now have to carry coolant around and keep checking the levels. Ford should be ashamed of themselves Do the right thing ford.

Just purchased my Ford Escape two weeks ago. Although I purchased my 2013 Escape used the interior and exterior were in excellent condition.

Not long after buying my 2013 Ford escape titanium I've had nothing but problems I had a bad battery where I got stuck 7 times when I was by myself went back to ford got a new battery water leaks over the driver side window Key Phob not working not able to get in driver side door will not open Even with key in hand the phone will not hang up when the call has ended so I have to turn my Bluetooth off in my cell phone to get it to hang up bad whistling sound coming from right side passenger window was told by ford that there was nothing they could do and they could not find anything wrong with my car I had been back to Ford so many times because the hatchback closes down when I'm in the car dashboard decides to go blank when I'm driving Radio Station will not switch channels Went back to forward again My Car sat there for two days and I was told they could not find anything wrong since then I had been videotaping the issues like the phone the radio and the hatchback When I get in my car I'm thinking oh my god what is going to go wrong with it today since then the rearview mirror is flying off the glove box Will not close all the way so the light shines through and there is more issues I am so upset with all the money we have spent on this car and I'm tired of being told there's nothing we can do about it now I'm hearing that the 2013 through 2015 ford have been recalled due to transmission issues I have not gotten an email or a phone call or a letter from Ford telling me to bring my 2013 escape back does anyone have any issues like I have going on now I am lost and do not know what to do and I dread getting in this car it's not even three years old since I've had it

It was perfect for me for my first car, but bad in the snow and more of a mom car than I wanted. Great interior, super comfortable and very safe. It's very reliable and has always gotten me from place a to place b. I even got hit by a deer and was totally fine.

Nice, quiet ride. Great mileage! Very comfortable! The new Escape is very easy to get in and out of.

im impressed with all the technology and smart styling its clear they invest in safety its very roomy inside but fits much better in my garage than my last car which was a sedan!

This car is just right for me. I could not be happier with it!!! The style and comfort were exactly what I was looking for.
