Best car i have ever leased

Ater testing a few other makes, this car just hit the spot. I love the confort and the ride it gives. This is worth every penny i spent. John Taylor from Dana Ford in staten island is the go to person for all your needs. He got me the best deal possible, my friends are shocked at the deal i received

Have had this vehicle for 12 weeks. It been in the Ford garage 8 of those 12 weeks. Major power steering failure. Transmission failure. Who knows what the third problem will be. Never Ford Again.

Beautiful SUV and safe!

The new 2020 explorer is amazing! It has every feature you’d want in an SUV and it’s incredibly safe. I was able to test drive it and when I did I knew I needed to have it.

Good upgrades and better look, but needs fine tune

About 2k miles in. Loud annoying high pitch wind noise above 65 mph. Accelerator has acted up a few times when it comes to response. Brakes didn't engaged once while backing out of lane. The lane assist has tried to turn me into on coming traffic a couple of times. So far not impressed, in shop now for all the above.

Explorer ST drives so well, but not without flaws

I’ve read about the Explorer ST for sometime and finally pulled the trigger on a Magnetic one with the sunroof, technology package and street pack. I sold my Challenger Scat Pack as I had to face up to the family needing something with more room and couldn’t justify a limited use vehicle. Given the 485HP of the Challenger, my performance expectations are somewhat inflated. The Explorer ST seems pretty unique in the market when looking at price, features, performance and appearance. I’ve read some reviews and the Detroit Freepress article about the initial problems. I hope I don’t run into those. I’m a bit nervous, but I signed up for this vehicle knowing I’m an early adopter. Likes: -Performance. Throttle response is instant and it pulls hard. 400HP is usable with the AWD system. It corners well given it’s a 3 row SUV and maintains a reasonably quiet and smooth ride. I find myself well over the speed limit often which tells me things are dialed in. -Appearance. I love the magnetic paint. Exterior fit and finish is good. Interior assembly is good ( choice of materials in the cons ). Love the black 21” rims and blacked out front grille. -Comfort. Seats are comfortable and supportive. It’s not luxury car leather, but it’s nice and styled well with the white stitching. Plenty of 2nd row leg room. Other than piped-in engine noise, it’s very quiet. Minimal road noise. Cons: Technology. The technology is poorly executed. The LCD drivers screen has such potential, but does very little. It shows a speedo, fuel and RPMs. There’s a secondary menu that shows basic trip and MPG info. It’s no Audi with Google earth and serious real time graphics, but it certainly could’ve been. The 360 camera is also dumb. There’s this 10” vertical tablet, yet the camera is only displayed in the top half. When in 360 mode, the left image is either forward or reverse view and the right image is the top down 360 view. They’re tiny, displayed side by side. Why the F could they have not made them larger and displayed one on top of the others using the whole screen? Apple CarPlay integration is buggy. I pressed the track advance on the steering wheel when using Apple Music and it gets stuck in cycle of advancing from track to track and won’t stop. I’ve had it blue screen once already and had to turn the vehicle off to reset it. Seriously, 12 measly presets? At least you can mix sources within the presets. The Challenger had the UConnect Harmon Kardon system. It’s the best I’ve ever had from a sound quality and functionality perspective. Just copy Uconnect and be done with it. The top level Bang and Olufasen system is OK, bass is a bit muddy. -Automatic Wipers. Misty rain was driving them crazy, so I disabled them. -Weird noises. Turn the vehicle off and there are buzzes, clicks and whirring noises for 30 minutes afterward. It’s not a problem, but very strange. -Materials. 2nd row door interior pulls are warped plastic and look cheap. 1st row doors, upper portion are soft touch, but cheap feeling. Cargo area floor above spare tire is flimsy and wouldn’t take any weight at all. Honestly, I don’t trust the vehicle yet. I’ve read some of the early issues and am scared I’ve made a poor decision. I just really enjoy how it drives and think Ford really nailed the engine, chassis and styling.

288 miles and in the shop

Looks good drives great but when you buy a new vehicle and only put 281 miles on it and the dash lights up like a Christmas tree. 4wd fault, trac control fault, front assist collision fault, hill assist fault. They say its an abs module and it going to take 30 days for it to get here. its a joke ford
