Enjoyable ride
Like the comfort of the seats, size and gas mileage for a SUV. Loved the new design. Was a great price And towing package was a plus too.

My take on 2020 explorer
The explorer xlt has a nice ride. The interior is pretty and quiet. The seats a very uncomfortable. They are firm but too narrow. Way too narrow for seat AND the back support. If they were wider the seats curving would be better. Navigation upgrade is ok but you can use your phone or Waze just as easily. The upgrade took like an hour. Ford will send a jump drive for like 40 bucks. Can upgrade in the car alone need a computer Honda CR-V has Standard side view warning and lights in the mirror AND beeps. The Ford only lights in the side mirror AND costs more The front bucket seats including the driver can fully recline. The second row buckets minimally recline. Poor passenger that want to slow in the second row can. That’s just dumb

Most profitable car Ford has ever made
Interior plastic is falling off. Very cheap dash. Loud engine. Electrical items funny sometimes. Brake pedal has gone to the floor twice under five thousand miles. Very strange car. Should have waited a couple years

Cheaply made, lots of driver cabin wind noise
Cheaply made. Lots of cabin wind noise at 45mph and above. Interior is cheap, only have the car a few months and the window button platic is peeling off. Dash is cheap plastic. Lane keep assist only kind of works, doesnt help very much or makes it worse when going on an off ramp. I do mostly highway and only get 21mpg.

Factory Issues Poor Support From OEM Ford
From the time I went to drive it off the lot, I noticed a small crack in the windshield. I notified the dealer while I was on the lot. They did a drill repair where you can still see the crack. Next, I noticed about a quarter size section of paint missing, it was a factory defect and they tried to repaint the door and quarter panel but it has a horrible blend to it. There was also some type of rust spots that appear to be coming from the paint. The dealer used a clay bar and removed a large portion of these but some still remained and after a few weeks, more started to appear. Then the undercarriage protection started to come off and I had to take it in to have this repaired. This was all in the first few 100 miles of me buying it new. Then mind you I took this new 2020 Ford Explorer on a trip to visit my son at his military base 1000 miles away and the transmision cooler broke and they could not fix it for a week. I had to get my family back home for work and school. As it sits my new 2020 Ford is stuck at a dealer in New Mexico and there is no way to get it back to me. Not Ford, the original dealer or the dealer it is at has really owned up to this unit being a lemon. They also tried to get me to foot ~$200 of the rental car bill for me to get my family home after it broke down. As of right now, I can not even get to my new 2020 Explorer. So much for having faith in taking it over 1000 miles and not getting stranded. Should have bought a Toyota... Maybe Toyota will hook me up with something?

Awesome car. We only have 600 miles on car but love it so far. We traded a 2020 Lincoln Aviator this after figuring out quickly we are not luxury car people
