Theres a reason its the best selling vehicle
All of my family that has a truck, its an F-150. We continuously have bought them for years. What happens when you like a product a lot? You keep buying it. Other trucks try to copy F-150, they can try to duplicate, but theres only one strong enough, to be called F-150. Best truck hands down. As it might not have as much HP as a hemi (we'll see, 6.2 is rumored), it will run circles around other trucks and get the job done when other trucks give out. If your looking for a truck, F-150, hands down. The best never rest.

Reliability is number one
I know I bought more truck than was needed, but being a single parent I needed unquestioned dependability. I purchased the vehicle brand new with 4 miles on it back in 2006. Snow, Rain, Tornados, my truck has never let me down. I highly recommend it for dependability. I know the exterior is a little on the square side, but that is ok. The bed of the truck has really come in handy. So far anything I have needed to move I have been able to do it in my trusty F150.

Will never sell this pickup!
I have owned 2 F-150's - a 2000 and the 2006 I have right now. I absolutely love this truck - it's reliable, decent on gas (mine is a V6 and has excellent highway mileage for a truck), offers a super-smooth ride, and is stylish. It's also just small enough to be convenient and just large enough to not have to worry about obstacles on the road. It handles in most conditions, and is just a great vehicle. I will drive this pickup until it retires! I'm so happy with it.

First Truck
I purchased an '06 F-150 FX4 in the spring of '08! It was the first truck I have ever purchased. It's loaded w/captain seats, leather, moonroof, 6 disc. What an amazing truck!!! Style and looks alone beat Silverado hands down. Performance is outstanding. I would recommend to all!

wow......i love it
i own a 2006 lariat supercrew 4x4 and i have to say i am in love. i drove 1500 chevy's my whole life and 3 years ago i bought a superduty 250 lariet 4x4 which was nice, but a little more truck then i needed. i then bought my current truck, 06 supercrew lariat 4x4 and what an awesome vehicle. i have a 6 acre property which i have cut down 100' trees and drug them whole to the rear of my property with this truck. i pull a trailer with over 2 tons of stone no problem, i have a light duty boss snow plow to keep the driveway clear. an 18 wheeler delivered it by hand truck and when it went to leave it went off my driveway and into the grass and got stuck. i pulled out a chain, put the truck in 4 wheel low and slowly creeped and yanked it out. a duelly with a tree chipper also got stuck on my property and i pulled out the truck and chipper with ease. this truck does it all and with great style and grace. i drive this truck 50 highway miles a day to work. its great on the highway, and ready for any project you can dish out. buy this truck with confidence!!!! you cant stop it!

Ford Vs Toyota.... FORD WINS HANDS DOWN
I own a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT 4X4 5.4 V8. I recently just for kicks went and test drove an import 4X4 with the 5.7 engine. It drove ok but the suspension was to stiff for highway driving. They claim it is roomier then the F-150 but I could not see where. I felt like my head was closer to the roof then my Ford. It Boasts 381 HP compared to the F-150. the 81 HP didn't get me any further doing a 1/4 at a local drag strip. They let me take it out for a drive they didn't say I couldn't take it to the track. I love my FORD and would not give in to the import imatators. I would reccoment the Ford F-150 to everyone. That is everyone that wants a truck that drives like a car and out handles and out tows the others.

Front End Shimmy
Owned a 2006 SuperCrew XLT 4x4 and would never buy one again. Ford wanted such a car like ride that they made the front end too light and therefore you get a shimmy going 60-65. i had 3 tires and 2 rims replaced due to being out of balance by dealer who said that was the problem and it was fixed and truck still did it. Tires would go out of balance every 1000 miles. Been told by several independent garages that the only way to correct the problem was to buy good tires (Ford put those cheap American Generals on them) and to have the tires Force Road Balance. Bought a 07 H3 and never been happier

2006 Ford F150 Lariat
Purchased this truck in Dec '05 w/ Family Plan incentive and gave $6K off sticker. Came fully equipped and comparable to same year Lincoln Mark LT. I'd have to say that I've lost nothing in going with the Ford version. Fit/finish and quality mirror the Mark LT and for thousands less. Handling is fantastic for a half ton, due in part to outboard mounted rear shocks. Corners like a sedan and the cabin is equally as quiet. At times, I have to convince myself I'm still in a pickup. 5.4L V8 w/ 3.73 rear end is rated 300hp but feels more like 250...acceleration is pretty timid from a stop and only modest at highway speeds. On the flip side, once you get a load in the bed or on the hitch everything settles in and the truck seems to perform much better. Bottom line, engineered to work, not to be a grocery getter. My observed fuel econmy is 12/16 and averages out around mid 13s. Interior layout is intuitive and roomy, leather seats are comfortable, gauges easy to see. Power roof/rear window are nice additions, esp for supercrew. Lots of cheap plastic on dash, but little elsewhere. Wood trim is fairly realistic looking. Go with premium sound if you can...subwoofer and satellite radio help pass the time on long drives. Reliability has been good. Taken in for one factory recall, and for rubber trim around window breaking loose. Gaps in seams along panels and bumpers are not entirely even and are easily noted with the naked eye. Have observed this on several local models as well, so could be engineered. Overall, this is an above average truck with all the benefits of a half ton and few of the drawbacks. Arguably the best F150 to date, and should remain America's best selling vehicle through the next major redesign.

Best Truck We've driven
I bought an 05 F150 in the fall of 2005 after test driving all the other dealers truck models. This truck by far had the best handling and comfort. My wife loves the adjustable pedals. It rides as smooth as a luxury car and tows our 22 ft boat with no problem. We got a supercab and have had 6 in our truck at once. This truck exceeded all of our expectations. We will continue to be F150 owners as long as Ford keeps building them this great.
