2008 Ford Fusion consumer reviews

I put a lot of extra money into the car for the year and a halfback I had it. Wasn't a big fan of the car, but it was also pre-owned. So newer ones may not be so bad.

Ford Fusion was with me for 5 years. I drove 60K miles on it and only money I spent on it was for oil changes only.

This car was purchased as a family vehicle. At first, it was great, couldn't of bought a better car. Th gen little by little things started to go wrong. At first the a/c quit working. Turned out that it was a a.c. temp evap control sensor that Ford will tell you can be replaced but it will go bad again, total cost of replacement is around $700. Without it working properly, car will only blow hot air. Second, we started having mechanical problems, first the seals under the valve pan went bad, so my spark plug holes filled up with oil, then the intake gaskets went bad. Ball joints went bad a few times, and it was impossible to keep it aligned. Then a short time later the timing chain cover seals started leaking and when it was being fixed, we found out that the bearings that fun thge cog for the timing chain were bad and we had shaved metal all over the side of the motor in the oil caked on the side from the leak and it was all inside the motor. We had calipers stick multiple times which burned up rotors and brake pads, struts went bad, and multiple other things as well. Do not buy a 2008 Ford Fusion sel.

This vehicle has done me pretty well for the past year and a half. Maintenance is low cost and it's just a good car.

BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR REBUILT PURPOSE.BUT I GOT NEW TRAVELLING JOB SO DONT HAVE TIME TO REBUILT IT ANYMORE.IT RUNS LIKE NEW.....JUST NEED NEW BUMPER COVER AND GRILL. NO LEAKING, OVERHEATING, NO WARNING LIGHT, EASY TO REBUILT THIS CAR.I DONT WANT TO SELL IN JUNK BECAUSE IT CAN BE EASILY REBUILD AND USED. I BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR 1250$.READY TO SELL IT OFF IN 1000$ OR BEST PRICE.

I had this car for 3 years I loved it. It was comfortable, great gas mileage, Sporty looking, I did not have any problems with this car. even with a little age on it, it was still a great car. Really enjoyed it while I had it.

Not sure about newer fusions but this car has been very reliable. We purchased it one year old. I like the 6 cylinder engine. Great handeling and passing ability.

for a used 2008 ford fusion ,bought private, in 2017 ,and im 73 ... its been a long time that ive said im lovin it ,from the rich black ext. to the blk and red leather seats, and the moon roof im finaly in love ,there is not a thing i cant say is not perfect for me , now to find some babes....

We use this car everyday and to take longer trips because it gets really good gas mileage. However I am not happy with how bad the interior has become. The dash had lifted up in 2 places, the steering well is coming apart leaving black crumbs on your hands and the side panels by the window have faded on the doors.
