Plastic molding by both mirrors on the outside loose and away from the car. Chrome trim around the rear side window fell off. Car is suppose to get 34 mpg trip and only gets 28.4. Overall very dissatisfied with the vehicle and I wish I never leased it. Glad its only for 2 years

Fusion SE 2.0 L engine
Had numerous problems with engine stopping and leaving me on the side of the road. However, the engine managed to re-start each time in 5 to 25 minutes. After two fuel tank replacement gas pumps and a fuel injector replacement gas pump the problem persisted. Additionally, had new ball joints and shock absorber's replaced, all within 19K miles. The Ford dealer co-operated in taking the car back and provided another Fusion; 1.5L engine and similar equipment. So far, so good. So long as the Ford dealer was trying to assist in rectifying the problem, I was patient. These things (with the engine) can happen. Ya' can't beat a Ford for the bucks spent. This is the first Ford I have had a problem with in some fifty years of driving. After the problems I have hed with the Fusion, I still recommend this vehicle.

Hope they get it fixed
Purchased the 1.6 ltr. SE Fusion new after several other fusion test drives. I love the style of the car and have gotten many compliments on the Deep Impact Blue color. The touch screen and phone sync work great. Not enough miles on the car to comment on gas mileage. However.......... Issue 1.First time I tried air conditioning - there was none. The dealership said there was no 'freon' in the system. Checked for leaks and charged the system and it seemed OK. Issue 2. At 3000 miles the check engine light came on. Took the car to the dealership, they couldn't find any problems, reset the codes and returned the car to me. Issue 3: Two or three days later the check engine light came on and again back to the dealership. Many kinds of tests and checks . Rough running on cold start and a miss on cylindar # 4. After 6 weeks and many tests the dealership still has the car. At Ford's direction they have now replaced the cylinder head. I was about to pick up the car and they noticed that the radiator coolant was leaking from a bad petcock from where they had drained the fluid for the engine rebuild. Again they waiting on parts from Ford. Then several days ago I got a recall letter on a fuel module problem. Now, after more than 6 weeks in the dealership I am still driving a loaner. Needless to say I am concerned about the reliability and stability of my beautiful new Fusion. I probably will write a formal complaint to Ford to document every issue and request a no-charge extended warranty . Yes I'm a little concerned.

A good car
I got the Fusion SE with the navigation system, rearview camera, leather seats and comfort package. The car has a smooth ride and handles like a much heavier car. The seats are very comfortable, especially with the lumbar support and the multiple seat adjustments. There was l learning curve with the mytouch, but after seeing the videos, I can work with them. You have to look at your dashboard to press a button for AC or Radio, so here you use the touch screen, very little difference. I found out a month after I purchased the car that the reason I was having trouble with my bluetooth was that my phone was not compatable with the system. I was not happy, but it was fixed on the next update. I am enjoying the car. we took a vacation with a 500 mile drive and we were very comfortable. I can't commen on the reliability as the car is too new

First Ford...and last
Talk about a lemon...I was seduced by the styling and early reviews, but I should have gotten an Accord. Two major recalls for engine and gas tank fires resulted in the car being out of commission for over a month. Now the trim along front window has warped and wind noise is terrible. Parts on back order for at least a month. Car has many rattles after only 2600 miles. Ecoboost 1.6 gets miserable mileage-never over 27 mpg and Iam a slow driving middle aged male. Transmission is slow to shift and acceleration is disappointing. Handling is sporty and the car is gorgeous to look at but the new Fusion has been a huge letdown. Dealer has been sympathetic but will NEVER consider a Ford again.

Not quite what I had hoped
I have just hit 5,000 miles on my new 2013 Ford Fusion SE in White/Pearl w/ black interior. I fell in love with this new style the moment I saw it and I was "sold" when I took it for a test drive. But I have to admit that after a few months of driving it, I am a little disappointed. The car is sleek and I get many compliments on it - but I'm having problems with the A-Pillar trim (around the triangular front windows) which keeps popping off. In general, the trim on this car seems to be low-quality and poorly installed. I also don't like the material that the seats and interior door panels are made of. It's very hard to keep clean and picks up every scuff mark and piece of lint. The glossy console easily scratches and looks terrible after only a few months. I also find the pick-up to be quite "lagging" when entering a highway and trying to pick up speed rapidly, or when going up a hill. I hope that Ford addresses the issues with the Pillar trim because from what I'm reading, many Ford owners have similar problems with their cars. Overall, I do like the car but it is not quite what I hoped it would be.

Fantastic car
Have a loaded SE with manual tranny. Driven 7000 miles. Two long trips with35-37plus mpg. Manual tranny and clutch as smooth as silk . Car handles and drives like a European sport sedan and is so much fun to drive. Car is very comfortable to ride in for a large person like myself. This car turns heads. It is very pretty. This car was built in January 2013. I see no quality issues or problems. The car has exceeded my expectations. I am so happy I bought it and I am always eager to drive it. I recommend the manual tranny for a fun driving experience.

Fired Up
Suspension is great, cornering tight, power exceptional, braking slightlty soft at the pedal but stop on the dime....this is a gorgeous car that has a European aesthetic from performance to styling.........at 1,200 total miles, average gas mileage is between 33-34 on hills, valleys, and straigh-aways.steering is tight and very responsive.......must get used to the 6-spd transmission which will downshift some. Don't know reliability so I rated it average.

Poor fitting door seals on 2013 Fusions
I have noted poor fitting perimeter door seals on dozens of 2013 Fusions along with poor fitting window trim and bent window frames on some cars. In some cases the door seal extented 1/4 inch past the roof edge. A Fusion that I rented had noticeable wind noise starting at 50 mph and a piece of window trim that had come loose. I am astonished that Ford is letting these cars leave the factory in this condition. This is not an isolated problem as I have noted it on many cars at different dealerships.
