New car euphoria

I did my homework to find what vehicles had what I wanted as standard. The Honda CR-V EXL had what I wanted and then some. Let me just say, don't test drive this vehicle unless you are prepared to buy it.

Better than the 2007 RAV4 and costs less.

I purchased a black EX-L with the tan leather interior. I love the car. It is very smooth and quiet. The front seat is so much more comfortable than the one in the RAV. Car feels very roomy both in front and back. Back seats are comfortable too. Though this car shares the same platform as the Acura RDX, the cargo room in the CR-V is better and the mileage is also superior. Though this is not a luxury car the details on the EX-L feel smooth and tightly constructed. My only quibble is that I would have preferred a V6 but this would have also compromised the mileage. I also drove the RAV4 and found it to be more prone to understeer. Also the interior of the RAV4 looked kind of plasticky and cheap by comparison to the CR-V. One note of advice, the CR-V looks best in black and only a few other colors so choose wisely! Great car!

LOVIN IT !

Just purchased the 07 CRV two weeks ago. Traded an 02 Saturn VUE. Always liked the height of the VUE - for easy entry and exit, and overall, it was the style of vehicle for me. However, I wanted a Honda for dependability. The earlier model CRV's did not appeal to me at all, so I went to Honda thinking that I would give up my SUV style for an Accord. And that was OK - they're great cars. But when I saw the 2007 CRV sitting there there was no question about what I would be driving away with. I knew that was it. The new styling both inside and out are definitely my style. The ride and handling are wonderful. I am extremely happy to be a new Honda CRV owner, and hope to have this one for a very, very long time.

No manual transmission...

After a much-needed update to the CR-V (modernizing the curves, or lack thereof, and increasing the tire size to be larger than a Civic), I was eager to drive the new CR-V. But, the test drive ended before it began: Honda discontinued the manual transmission for the 2007 redesign. Only 30% of the power can be transfered to the rear wheels in the all-wheel-drive system, which, coupled with an automatic, really makes it pointless.

Problem with comfort

This model does not offer power height seat adjustment as its counterparts. Comfort of the driver and passenger seats is lacking while features such as this are offered in its counterparts.

Better than my 2002 accord

Just gave our 2002 accord to granddaughter--a great car. Replaced it with the new CR-V, which may ride a little more stiff, but has a nice positive-control handling feel. "reliability" rating is guess, as it's too new, but I have lots of confidence in Honda quality. I'm 6'-3" and have lots of leg room. Wife likes the features, especially shopping/loading ease, and steering-wheel controls of radio/cruise. Only gripe is the small diameter coffee holders.

problem with 2007 crv

just test drive the car this evening and find one big problem. While test driving , the front windows are closed and the back windows are open all the ways,I hear the rattling noise. I ask the sales rep why. He said it is wind from the outside of the vehicle making those noises. As I rolled the back windows a little bit higher the rattling noise decrease. I tried it several time and the result is the same. Those noises are very very annoying and bothering.
