2014 Grand Cherokee Limited
I had it only 2 weeks but I love this car. I keep discovering new things it will do. I bought the 'Deep Blue Chrystal' and I've received many comments on how beautiful it is. It's simply an awesome vehicle.

Overland 2014 - 3,000 mile mark
Now at 3,000 I am still discovering new features in the display and control panel which are really cool, browsing through your USB-music source with the tuning knob as one example. The V-8 engine is incredibly powerful, and I enjoy short dashes that leave every other car far behind. The 8-speed transmission is just right- smooth and quite especially in the Eco mode. 8-speed allow you to work with incremental shifting at any speed really. When changing to S-mode, the Eco goes away and the gears tend to stick longer. The Eco mode often ends up shutting off 4 pistons so if you are about to make a quick acceleration, it will take a couple seconds to catch up. The suspension has the feel of a top-notch car and the steering is precise and tight. Not a single problem what so ever yet, so reading some of the negative posts here I am kind of puzzled. No off road or snow to write about yet!

Wife won't let me drive it
I am on my 5th Jeep,(SUV types), my wife's daughter on number 3(Wrangler type)Wife is a car snob and considered Jeeps "bouncy trucks". It was her decision to buy a fully loaded Equinox but I asked her to at least take a look at a comparably equipped and priced Jeep. She dragged herself to a dealer and came home that day with a Grand Cherokee Ltd that she says she ":loves", It has the utility and reliability which has me hooked on the brand. She is hooked on the styling, comfort, ride and "gadgets". .Interior appointments are plush without being tacky,,,leather, heated steering wheel, seats, electronic center with blue tooth, GPS, and yes, even Wi-Fi access.. Sirius radio, rear camera that I even like. (I am not a gadget nut.) Interior/exterior very up to date and stylish and comparable to vehicles costing $20-30,000 more.. Gadgets are voice command so hands free texting and phone, but even changes radio stations and A/C settings. She can lock the car from 1000 miles away by cell phone in case she didn't know if she remembered to do it at the mall or the airport. We are relocating from Florida to Nevada and this is great for the long trips and city driving she does. It has 2 wheel drive and a surprisingly smooth shifting automatic transmission. Mileage is about what to expect.....17ish around town, 20ish depending on driving style. v6 engine is adequate for it's intended purpose.,High ground clearance and probably good off road but I don't think my wife will allow this to happen. As a long time Jeep owner I rate this as a very good vehicle. And that from a 70 year old that's partial to roll-up windows and a hand-held GPS! My only concern with the new Cherokee might be about the dependability of all the electronics as they age but no failures in any departments such as fit and finish. If it's electronics are still working when I get another 150,000. on my jeep I might even get a fancy model like hers, but trai8l rated model. Look out then , Wiley Coyote! !beep beep .

2014 jeep grand cherokee [ bad factory pint job ]
I just bought the 2014 jeep grand in the new color granite crystal, this color has a factory flaw.when looking at the paint under parking lot lights at night or certain times of the day. I noticed the hole paint job is blotchy or kind of like faded tiger strips ,light and dark spots.I showed my dealer this 4 days after I bought it ......waiting to see what to do.I don't want it repainted.wath ever it is is under the clear coat finish and can't be wet sanded or buffed out .I also noticed this finish on all the other cars the dealer had in stock with the same blotchy effect .somthing needs to be done with it.If anything I would like to reorder a new jeep with all the same options and just change the color.

Nothing but problems
After owning this car for less than 12 hours, I experienced electrical failures (missing cluster) and transmission sticking issues. Did some reasearch, there are multiple forums of people having the exact same issues. A friend at corporate Chrsyler admitted they have a couple hundred of the same vehicle locked on hold because they don't know how to fix the issue. When I took mine in the dealership and corporate said they have not yet heard of these problems (untrue). Had to hire an attorney to get my money back. Total waste of time. It's too bad Chrysler does not stand behind their product, it's a good looking car. If only it worked. Save yourself time and money and do not buy this car.

Excellent Jeep!
I have had my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for 3 weeks. So far I have been very impressed with the car. It rides like a luxury car, very soft and little road noise. I have the V6 and it has enough get up and go to make it a fun ride. I have a limited with navigation and have found the interior and the layout of the uConnect to be very nicely done. I love that the navigation puts the turn by turn in the instrument panel which makes navigation so much easier. My only complaint would be that at times it seems a little slow off the line unless you punch it. I have noticed if I take it out of eco mode it takes care of that problem. I'm averaging about 18-20 mpg in the city, and recently did a 150 mile trip in which I got 25MPG on the highway. Overall I find the car to be of excellent craftsmanship and a joy to own.

GREAT EVERYWHERE EXCEPT RELIABILITY
In Many ways this is the nicest vehicle I've ever owned. It rides like a luxury car, handles well and has great off road ability. I live in Colorado so there are plenty of opportunities to test the 4 wheel drive system. My only hesitation in calling this the best vehicle ever is the reliability. The 8 speed transmission slams into gear when coming to a stop and the overly complicated uconnect system seems to have a mind of its own. The voice recognition is terrible. So far it hasn't left me stranded and I think the dealer can fix the problems I'm having..so just be careful.

2014 jeep grand problem
Jeep looks great rides smooth but the new 8 speed transmission is a mess. Drops gears then bangs back in. Shifts quickly through gears when driving in traffic also feels as if gears slip at times. Had it looked at by dealer was told the same story I expected they didn't find anything wrong (no codes and it didnt do it during there 2 minute test drive). I have been doing research and many people are having same trouble. Radio also has issues. I would not recommend this jeep to anyone it's to much money for all the issues it's having.

Still doesn't feel like it's ours!
Love the new Jeep but have a few concerns about the service on it already. We had some free play in the steering wheel and took it in to be fixed, turns out there was some loose bolts :( They also did an update on the nav/seterio unit and it hasn't worked right since, now they are wanting us to bring it back in for another check up, we have only driven the car less than 1,000 miles with two trips in to have things fixed already. They do offer a lifetime warranty if you have time to bring the car in on a regular basis. A little bummed hope this doesn't continue as we accually use the car.
