Red Ruby Convertible in Iowa

It really is a great looking car. I purchased the car new in May of 2005. It is a 2006 model. The transmission failed as I drove it off the car lot. This was fixed after a couple of days. Being a front wheel drive with plenty of power it has some body shutter under strong acceration. Red with a tan roof is the only color to get with the convertible. I bought it for my kids to enjoy and they love it.

Sports Car With Mid-Size Comfort

I purchased a 2006 Toyota Camry Solara SLE V6 back in April. After seven months of ownership, I have had not one regret purchasing this vehicle. I have not brought the car back to the dealership for any warranty work so far; the car is well built, all gaps are tight and seamless. The car is very roomy on the interior. The rear seats, which always suffer in sports car, have plenty of room for rear passengers. Entry and exit from the rear can be tricky for those over 6 feet tall. All controls are logically placed. My only gripe is there is no storage area to hold loose change (the first generation Solaras had this feature). Power is plentiful from the 3.3 liter engine. My car came with traction control, and it does regulate power from the engine to the wheels. The ride is more responsive with traction control off, but unfortunately the car always activiates traction control when the vehicle is started (I have to remember to turn it off each time). Overall, this is a great vehicle for those who want sporty styling without sacraficing interior comfort.

Love My Black Camry Solara V6

I purchased my Solara in May '06. After test driving many cars, I was thoroughly impressed with the handling, design and interior. I have driven the car on the highway several times with an average gas mileage of 27-30mpg. My family of 4 comfortably fits inside and I have received so many compliments and inquiries about whether I am driving a Lexus. Toyota far exceeded my expectations with this model. I am happy to report, I am a proud owner!

Solara SLE V-6

I've had my new 2006 Solara since the end of March, and am approaching 5,000 miles now. The vehicle is simply fantastic! From the eye-catching 'Arctic Frost Pearl' exterior paint, to its finely appointed interior, it's hard to find a single fault with this car. The A/C system is the best, and the JBL Premium Sound System that comes with the SLE makes the interior seem like a rolling living room. And for a 'big car' (around 4500 lbs.) the gas mileage is UNBELIEVABLE! When it was new, I drove it to Chicago and back from Detroit and AVERAGED 31/gal there, and 32/gal coming home! Nowadays, I average OVER 27 miles per gallon combined city/highway. Add a huge trunk, beautifully operational moon roof, and impecable fit & finish, and I don't think you can find a better car for the money. Oh, and by the way, it was designed, engineered, and built right here in the United States!! And yes, it's ALSO a head-turner! This car looks like a Lexus!!

Love this car

I bought my 2006 Solara SE Sport V6 when they were first introduced on the market. I love it. Overall the car has a smooth quiet ride, but don't let that fool you it has a lot of power. Its speed can be decieving and I often don't realize how fast I'm going. I've been on the highway and looked down to see I'm going 90 miles an hour, the car is that smooth. When I first got the car many people assumed it was a Lexus because the body is similar to its cousin's design. Toyota did a good job using the Lexus design as a model for this car. The interior is layed out nicely and the trunk is huge. Good overall gas milage as well. This car is fantastic!

Perfect "Desert" Color - Pearl White

I have owned my 2006 V-6 Solara coupe for 10 months now, with textbook absolutely trouble-free Toyota pleasure. Lot's of zip and averaging 27.4 MPG. It's a joy to drive in the city, the desert and the mountains. The lustous pearl white color has serprisingly grown on me. It's perfect for heat reflection and dust hide-ability. This color will be my first choice for future purchases here in Nevada.
