My second Highlander. I'll never go back!

I am very happy with my Highlander. It is very reliable. I have had no problems with it. I was recently driving in snow and the car handled it perfectly.

Surprisingly satisfied!

The car is excellent in every way. Originally I didn’t want this car, my wife talked me into it. We use it for long trips and it is extremely comfortable...

Just right

I love this vehicle. It handles like a dream, and is good on gas for an SUV. Wanted a hybrid, but initial cost was just a bit too high.

Good, but not good enough for the money it cost.

My wife wanted & liked this vehicle, but I never really warmed up to it. For the cost I expected better. Too much road noise, wind noise, 2nd row seat racket (shaking, rubbing), door mirrors too high & blocked visibility & I'm 5' 9". The transmission was always indecisive at low speeds, as it reused to select a gear. It has 8 to pick from, but chose to feel in neutral. The size of it was ok, but proved to be disappointing over time & left us wanting for a larger vehicle. Also, I was never comfortable in any of the seats. In a nutshell, I think we bought off of reputation, but it was lacking in several areas.

The perfect SUV.

I've had many Highlanders and have loved them all. They are a great combination of luxury, utility, power, reliability, durability, and high resale value. They just do everything well. I love that in a car, so I like all Toyotas. I'll always choose the quiet, luxury ride of an on-road AWD over an off-road 4WD or truck. I'll choose the practical passenger SUV over a sportier model that will give you harder bumps every 10 seconds forever. All you gain is the ability to race into off-ramps at radical speeds that will freak out your passengers. It's one of the most popular SUVs of all time for good reason. High resale value means low cost of ownership. Legendary longevity and durability mean peace of mind at a lower cost than inferior cars that ensure costly repairs and poor resale value. I've had zero problems with all my Highlanders, Corollas, Camrys, and RAV 4's. Toyotas are always the smartest practical choice. It's just a matter of what size you want. However, I don't recommend the Hybrids unless you aim to trade them before they hit 100k or so. They need expensive repairs around then. So you lose that long term longevity, peace of mind and low cost of ownership. Plus those shifters and delayed starts are still just very weird to me-- and the notion they really help the environment has been highly questioned, if not debunked.

It’s ok car

I would not buy another, the front seat does not allow you to sit straight causing uncomfortable driving over :30 minutes. The suspension is a truck like firm and feel all the bumps , nothing like my Honda Pilot
