It’s a 2019 with 8k miles
After driven over 8000 miles it still has a hard drive taking the bumps hard , suspension does not provide a comfortable ride. The front seats does not allow me at 5’11” average person to sit straight forcing me to lean forward with neck pain, very disappointed. The rear camera warning is not consistent identifying moving people. I do enjoy the rear open window option. I’m sure the car is reliable mechanically. Not really utilizing or enjoying some of the new technology like lane change control

Don't Buy!!!!!
I just took my Toyota Highlander in for an oil change. My Highlander currently has 57,000 miles on it. I mentioned to the the dealer that the car was leaking a small amount of oil . When they called back they informed me to repair the oil leak it would take 2 days and 4,900!!! Apparently the oil pan is under the engine and the engine has to be removed to repair the leak. Putting aside the POOR DESIGN I bought a Toyota for its reliability. This car is the LEAST reliable car I have ever owned!! (and I owned a chevy!) If you want a reliable car buy a Hyundai - they are what Toyota used to be.

Toyota quality decreasing
This is my 4th Highlander (2002, 2007, 2013, 2019) and the worst of all. The car was sold to me from Koons Toyota knowing that the fuel pump was recalled. I really don't like the car shutting off when I come to a stop or any of the sensors for changing lanes. The navigation system is now just a blue tooth screen that uses your cell phone's service.

As always, a great job by Toyota
I took out a three year lease on this new 2019 HIghlander in February of 2019. So I'm 15 months into the lease. I've leased and owned other Toyota products in the past and have had a great experience with each of them. This vehicle is no different. It is very nice ! Fun to drive. Smooth ride for an SUV. This 6 cylinder model has plenty of power and gets 23 mpg +/- in mixed driving. " Highway only" driving yields 25 -27 mpg. Not bad for a vehicle this size. Great vehicle for commuting. I'm a business man nearing retirement and a part-time musician. The music requires that I have a vehicle capable of hauling a substantial amount of music gear to gigs. With 2nd and 3rd row seats flattened this vehicle offers me all the cargo capacity I need for my musical endeavors. When not gigging, the 2nd row bench seat in this particular Highlander is very practical in terms of "passenger capacity" allowing for a 5th passenger without using the third row seat (which I've yet to employ). The 3rd row seat is admittedly "tight". Overall, i'm very happy with this Highlander. Two "Cons" to be aware of besides the tight 3rd row : 1) Three straight hours is as long as you can sit in the front seats of this Highlander without becoming uncomfortable. Not great for a long trip. Seat cushioning needs to be re-engineered. A friend has a 2019 Chevy Traverse that we took on vacation last year from Cinti, OH to Gulf Shores, AL. You can ride all day in the Traverse quite comfortably. We could not have done this in my Highlander without using some type of cushion on the seats. My Highlander is the base model with a 6 cyl upgrade. It's possible that other Highlander models with different interior packages may not have this "hard seat" problem. For the record, my Highlander has cloth seats versus the leather seat package. 2) This 2019 Highlander seems to sit higher than other SUV's ? (or not?). Elderly folks less than 5'10 tall ( who I've transported ) have had a difficult time getting in and out of this vehicle. I'm a 65 year old male who is 6'1 so this has not been a problem for me but is something to be aware of if you're older and/or under six foot tall. Due to the "Cons" listed above, I'm still debating whether or not this Highlander will be my final / retirement vehicle as I plan to travel in the future and will no doubt be hauling around a lot of "old" people including myself. As far as the reliability and longevity of this Highlander, I believe this vehicle will likely outlast my driving years given I drive only 10K - 12K miles per year . All in all, a very solid vehicle !

My highlander
This car is the the best family car ever to me. The safety features are my favorite. I have four small boys and sometimes they like to take there seat off. The highlander warns me by beeping and on the dash it shows which seat it came from. That was a big deal for me. It has other great things in it like the lane detection front and rear cameras. It beeps to let you know someone or something is behind you. That’s a wonderful thing for me because I have a lot of kids and animals where I live. It is great on gas. You would have to test drive one to see for yourself what I’m talking about. It’s a great car over all.
