Bought 2021 highlander xle. Dissatisfied

Gears feels very jerky. On low speed it’s horrible when accelerating its hunting for gear. Anyone know why Toyota is not fixing this issue? Or is this normal? I read this got issues from 2017 and on lawsuit.

Previous Highlander XLS was much better

After being a toyota fan and looking forward to trading in my 2012 for a 2020, I must admit I am very disappointed at the lack of quality this vehicle offers. Sadly, my 2012 with 115k miles has a smoother ride than my 2020. The leather seats are extremely hard and stiff, the dashboard feels like hard plastic, the steering wheel does not navigate easily, the engine is louder than I'd expect for a new vehicle, the drive is harsh, and the 3rd row seats are only big enough for toddlers. Not sure why the discontinued the rear window operation. That was a huge asset in the old model. im 2 months into a 3 year least. 2023 cant come quick enough. I had a high regard and respect for toyota vehicles until now. The best part is the computer system but even that continues to have issues.

This vehicle has an amazingly smooth ride with wonderful amenities. The sounds system is crisp and clear. The moon roof provides a beautiful view. Love driving this vehicle.

Everyone likes it

Our service people and friends said Toyota Highlander was the vehicle to look at for long-term reliability and comfort. Couldn't be more pleased and we've only owned it a 24 hours. Exceeds our expectations.

Great car overall

Fantastic driver assist features. Great safety systems. Excellent fit and finish. Comfortable ride. Temperature control system is awesome. Amazed at how many features are included in the trim level.

Driver seat uncomfortable

I cannot get a comfortable driving position in my 2020 Highlander. Steering column doe not extend far enough. Seat is too short and not enough leg support. Front does not angle up far enough either to support my leg. I regret giving up my Honda Pilot!

Not Sure Yet

I have only had the Highlander Platinum for less that two months (1800 miles), so I really don't know. I am still getting used to this vehicle. However, I am having to have it towed to a dealership because this weekend almost every light that could come on, did. I have been told not to drive it and it is being picked up today by a towing company to go to a different dealership than the one from which it was purchased.
