Built like a tank!
Once I took the Tundra for a test ride, that was it! I had been looking at the new SIlverado as well as the Titan. This truck is the best value for the money and has everything I was looking for: Power, comfort, most standard features.

Awesome Truck - Test drive it and you'll see!
I purchased a 2007 4X4 Double Cab Tundra with the 5.7L engine and 6 speed transmission two weeks ago (waited over two months to get the truck with the color and options I wanted). This truck is AWESOME! Roomy interior, powerfull engine, fast acceleration, you name it. I was kind of dissapointed with the quality of the interior ( I have the SR5 model). I traded in a 2003 4X4 Tundra 4.7L (SR5 model) with almost identical options as the 2007 came with, and did notice that the interior of my old 2003 Tundra was made with much better quality materials than the 2007. It felt more "solid" and not like cheap plastic. It is a shame that Toyota tried to cut costs there, because the interior plastic components now compare to the Ford's, Chevy's, and Dodge's trucks... absolutely cheap stuff. Other than that, this new Tundra rules. Go test drive one and see for yourself.

Good Bye 4 speed transmissions and underperformers
I love my Toyota Tundra with the only 6 speed transmission availableon a half ton truck. I tried to give Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and Dodge Ram 1500 a chance but all three came up short. The Toyota Tundra SR5 Crewmax 5.7 has more power (torque and horsepower, more interior space, less required maintenance (oil changes every 5, 000 miles with convential oil) of course I'm using synthetic. I know everyone is saying where's the proven record. Take a long look at the big three and you will see that they have no response to this truck. Believe this is no attack on Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge but they have to mimic this truck in order to survive. My only complaint regarding this truck was I had to wait 3 weeks to get it, but I received around $3,000 off which made up for the wait. 0- 60 in 6.11 seconds see ya.

Best truck I have ever driven / owned
This truck is my first Toyota, and my first departure from Ford. After many problems with my old Ranger, I bought an F-250. That truck was a lemon, and I eventually got my money back from the dealer. I test drove a Tundra with the 5.7, and left with the truck the same day. There is no comparison, the Tundra is better.

Awsome
First of all let's not be Fanboys ok, if you can manage to get that out of your head, then go test drive a Tundra and trust me you will love it. This baby handles really well, even on curvy roads. I use this as a daily driver and it is outstanding. Smooth, great handle, can see the whole road, and love how it feels when you tow. Best of all, it is american made. Most Ford, Chevy, Dodge are made in another country. Give it a chance, you won't go wrong. My first Truck was a Chevy SIlverado, and I do love my truck, next I got the Z71 and that was even better for me.. Now I have a Tundra..

Performance when hauling
My truck is a Reg cab ,bare bones, 8' box with a 4.7l engine. I bought this truck to work it and to use the 4x4 to get to camp. After spending the last week hauling both brick and gravel loads up to 1450 lbs it is safe to say that this truck is very strong and should be put more into a half ton plus class. This truck moved this load with ease. Well done Toyota, you have got something here that is every bit as good as my buddies Fords,Chevy's or Rams.

Horrible!!
Over the past week, I was able to test drive the Tundra, F150, Ram and Silverado. After doing so, I ended up purchasing the Silverado. The Tundra had a weird dash and the transmission sounded like it was going to fall out from under the car. Then, on the test drive, the service engine light came on and the tail gate would not close properly. Oh ya, the EPA estimate was 7mpg's lower than all the rest! I felt I needed to warn anyone interested in this car. Take my advice and buy the Silverado, it was named Truck of The Year for a reason!
