Fun & Great Value for the Money

Simple, great gas milage, reliable, inexpensive to buy and operate. I have a comfy Chevy Silverado 3/4T Diesel for my work, but when I only have to haul my butt & small amts. of cargo, the Yaris gets the nod. Only 2 concerns would be (1) the standard is geared real high in first. On our back road in VT, I can't slow down with any power to slowly navigate muddy road. (2)Is real light & hydroplanes on H2O and tricky on snow even with 4 winter tires. It's not a Lexus & I dont expect more. It is what it is and does it well. My wife said on purchase, why R you buying that tunacan for? so I put TUNACAN on my plate. It's been a fun car.

BEST CAR IN CLASS PERIOD.

I've had the Yaris for 6 months now and it exceeds my expectations in every way!Toyota build quality and refinement are outstanding regardless of price.I tested Fit,Versa and Hyundai and was unimpressed.Don't take my word for it,check them out and i bet you'll buy the Yaris!

I now own 2

My wife fell in love with the little hatchback, and I bought it for her. As gas prices rose, I started "borrowing" it for my daily work commute of 75 miles round trip, and was pretty impressed with everything about the little thing. Last month traded in the mini van and it's 22 mpg for a second hatchback of my own. This car is an awesome value all around for someone not worried about "frills". Kind of like rolling up the windows without a switch. If you want to get good mileage, have decent power, sporty handling and be comfortable under any driving conditions. Get one! Added bonus is the attention the car gets, especially during (infrequent) fuel stops. I can now smile during fillups. These are great little cars that feel a lot bigger than they look.

Great Little Runabout!

I recently bought my Yaris hatchback, and man am I happy! It is cheap and cheerful, and has a lot of room on the inside considering how small it looks on the outside. I love its functionality, and its proven Toyota reliability. Mine has the manual transmission, and it is very fun to drive around town. The automatic seemed sluggish. I have a diesel, and my friend has a petrol engine, and mine gets better fuel economy.

What A Fun Car...

I've had my 2007 3 door lift back since April, and I have very few complaints so far. I still get excited every day when I leave for work because I love driving this car that much. Some of the best things about it? MPG... obviously... but don't think it can't keep up in traffic because I find myself zooming around passing the heard more often than not. It's so light with just enough power, you can toss it all over the road. It's very surprisingly roomy inside, too. Only cons so far is thin clearcoat.. it chips easily.. and some of the interior vinyl is prone to nicks. I would recommend this car to anyone.

this car is awsome

I just bought this car a week ago it had 18 miles on it. The first tank of fuel was both a mix of in town and highway and we got 38 miles per gallon. This is during engine break in, it will only get better from here.

I am in Love

I bought ths car and didn't really like it when I first bought it. I just got it because I needed something cheap and reliable. I was under the impression that you could only get the power in the S model and I do not have power. an after I bought it I saw some online that looked like mine and had power. I did not like the wing on the back of the car. So I cjose the wind up the windows and manual doors. I want to scream sometimes but I deal!!! Can I add power to my car? if anybody knows?

love this car

I just traded in my chevy truck for this little thing and I am glad. I just went 200 miles on 4 1/2 gallons of gas, which is awesome.

Great car

So far we have really enjoyed the car; my wife has driven it the most, mainly around town. As a complete transportation package, the Yaris is a surprisingly complete solution. We have a mid-sized SUV and an older mid-size sedan, so the Yaris fits into a good slot for us. Handling is much more solid than one would expect for a small car; the overall comfort level is certainly "Toyota-quality". The center mounted instruments aren't all that much adjustment; all three drivers in my family easily adapted.

No complaints

I now have 10000 miles on my yaris and am really pleased with her. I get between 33 and 37 mpg in mixed driving, and got 41 on a road trip with 2 other people in the car. I formally drove a hand me down 300m and got 19ish mpg. I think the yaris is fun to drive and has plenty of interior room. I have no complaints.
