I recently leased a 2017 Subaru Forester Premium from this dealership. I leased the vehicle from Charles Brakebill. Charles was very helpful in the process. After I left the dealership he followed up with a phone call which ended up in me leasing a vehicle with more options (Premium with Eyesight). I did not anticipate leasing the vehicle with the additional option however Charles made it work for me. I was impressed by his professionalism and courtesy throughout the process. He is very knowledgeable. I would recommend seeing Charles when in the market for a new or pre-driven vehicle.

Wonderful people. Wonderful cars. $350 for 4 sparkplugs? I don't get that. Perhaps there is more to it, but nothing more was detailed. I really want to use your service, but $1700 for routine service on a 2010 Forester? Geez! I've usually avoided service at dealerships for that reason. I want to stay with you but I suggest you ease up on the pricing.

This is a great vehicle and we're so glad that we purchased one. We've had a couple of minor things go wrong that should not have such as the drivers side visor starting to squeak loudly. All said we are very happy with this car. On the down side there is now standard technology out there that is not available. Automatic wipers are missing and items like remote start and subaru's safety and security package are extra when Honda includes them both free. But my biggest issue is not the car it's that there is no convenient dealersl or service anywhere near me. The nearest service is 45 minutes away. The next car will have to be available locally.

I have owned my 2017 Subaru Outback for almost 2 years and have a hair over 36,000 miles on it. Prior to buying my car from Castle Subaru, I researched the vehicle, as i do a lot of highway driving, and went to several Subaru dealerships. Castle Subaru went above and beyond even when I was researching my vehicle. They offered me several test drives of several different Outbacks and even wanted me to drive other Subarus to see if one of those Vehicles would fit my need better. I bought the Outback after checking it out for about 2 months. I do my homework. The service department is second-to-none, the people know you by name on the showroom floor as well as in the service department, and they even wash my vehicle prior to returning it. They explain everything that's being serviced and give me a timeline to make sure my time is not wasted. A better dealership I did not find. I even checked in Illinois, as I live in Indiana, and I'm so happy I purchased from Castle Subaru. When I purchase my next vehicle, I will be shopping at Castle Subaru.

Excellent vision in all directions from the Forester. We like the no non-sense styling of the Touring 2.5i. Easy to get into and out of which matters if getting a few years on you. Very good gas mileage and handling with excellent performance. The AWD is certainly one of many key selling points. Fit and finish is excellent with very good reliability so far. We think it is a excellent SUV and would definitely purchase another Subaru SUV if needed.

I tried to buy a car here since I like the service dept. but the price was $2300.00 more than I paid for the same car elsewhere. Do they think we don't do research before we come? The service dept. is great but they do so many follow up calls, recommendations of unneeded service, etc. that I may end up going elsewhere. So this place is worth checking out but keep an open mind.

Forester XT Touring or WRX on the down-low?

Wanting something all wheel drive naturally leads you to Subaru. If you're looking for something with some off road capabilities but also a steady commuter with some room to spare, the Forester is the sweet spot. The 2019 generation Foresters are great, but they lack the punch of the older turbo options. With the same 250+ HP, 258 lb-ft torque engine in the WRX, the 2.0 L turbo shaves off over 2 seconds from the 0-60 time of the standard 2.5i engine. And it's noticeable. It gets knocked for being paired to CVT but I find it to be smooth and has great throttle response in Sport mode. Off road and in snow it does really well and lives up to the hype. A lot of reviews don't consider the Forester to be that stylish on the exterior, but I think that's ultimately a matter of preference. I find the exterior to be simple but muscular with the XT having a meaner front end. Inside there are some good upgrades which finally make the Forester feel a bit more luxury including leather seats and accents, a quieter interior and a decent sound system. The Harmon/Kardon sound system still leaves a lot to be desired, however. It's very bass heavy without a lot of refinement. Overall the Forester XT with Touring trim offers some nice amenities with still staying true to the rugged nature Subaru is known for. Pros: fun to drive (3 driving modes, paddle shifters), great visibility, great off road capabilities, roomy back seat and trunk, giant sunroof Cons: lower gas mileage, premium fuel recommended, lack of interior refinement, weak infotainment system

Full disclosure: My girlfriend owns it, but I drive it a lot. I find the 2017 Forester to be a pretty decent small SUV. I find it comfortable and fairly well-designed. I'm not a huge fan of CVTs but find it has enough pep when I need it. The dash is fairly well-organized and all critical controls are knobs and buttons rather than buried in the touch screen like some cars. A few things could be slightly better organized but these are minor details. The Subaru infotainment system is pretty lacking and the touch screen is buggy sometimes. They're behind the curve on this. But overall it's a decent car even if I'd like it more with a 6 speed manual.

There are not enough stars to express the quality of service that was provided to us. We had been looking for a car for months and had visited many car dealerships. Everywhere we went, it was the same thing: we were just another number. When my wife and I came to Castle, we were greeted by Tony. He made sure from the moment we walked in, we were taken care of as if his own family came in. Beautiful, efficient, handles well in all types of traffic. Have taken on 2 lengthy road trips so far and just love it! Easy packing hatch back holds luggage and extras for 3 weeks on the road. traveling caravan style with 3 other vehicles, my Forester voted most comfortable by all passengers and alternate drivers. I rarely need a comfort stop because adjustable seats make every drive like traveling in a lounge chair.

November 22, 2018: Here is a description of my experiences at Lake Shore Toyota, with sales consultant Mike Pietrzak and General Manager Kim Gillette, resulting in my purchase of an SUV yesterday. (1) I was informed by Mike that nobody at the dealership had any incentive to mislead customers, because they are not compensated by commission. He also informed me that the prices shown on the vehicles are non-negotiable. (2) He listened to what I said I needed, and he suggested the RAV4. (3) I drove the RAV4 and said that I would buy it. (4) Mike prepared a pricing form showing me the list price, as well as Toyota incentives and dealer incentives, and the sales tax. There was no discussion of trade-in value for my car because I did not indicate that I would trade it. There was also no discussion of add-ons like extended warranties, fabric protection, etc. (5) when I stated that the price was acceptable, the General Manager, Kim Gillette, went to her office to explore financing options. Fifteen minutes later, she came back with a printed document showing the various possible options and told me which she thought was best. Being equipped with an MBA, I immediately saw that her suggestion was correct. (6) I decided to trade my car. Kim drove it, and offered me $2000 for my 11-year-old, oil-burning Honda. I accepted the offer. This trade-in value was factored into the price of the RAV4. (7) I made a small deposit and went home to unlock my credit report. (7) Within 3 hours of my unlocking my credit report, Kim had obtained financing from Teachers Credit Union at a lower monthly payment than she had originally estimated. Kim also suggested that I come in after 5:00PM, to minimize waiting. (8) I showed up at the dealership at 5:10 PM. Mike had already prepared all the documentation. At this time, he reviewed with me the various add-on options; I declined then all, and he did not try to change my mind. I signed the documentation. (9) Mike took me out to the RAV4 and showed me how to use all of its numerous features. (10) I left at 6:50 PM, with a new RAV4, for a final cost of $25,068 (including tax). NOTE: The entire process was transparent. I was provided documents I could take home to study or take to another dealer for comparison. I was free to try to find better financing. At no time was I presented with one ounce of BS. The people at Lake Shore Toyota will not try to manipulate you, lie to you, or take advantage of you. This has been a new experience for me. Needless to say, this is where I will get my cars from now on. Plus, I love my RAV4.

I scheduled a fog light bulb replacement. There was nothing wrong with the light. It was a customer not knowing how the feature works (User Error). The service rep was kind and showed me how to use other features. He also replaced a screw that he noticed missing in a panel above the brake pedal.

I like the comfort and the visibility of this car. All who have ridden in it feel that it’s comfortable too. Love the eyesight package which gives warnings regarding blind spots and so forth. Find it very easy to parallel park. My only complaint is that the audio controls aren’t intuitive to use, at least for me.

Saw a flyer at Costco in Memphis, TN about the Auto Program. Found no Authorized Dealer for Subaru’s in the Memphis area. Travelled to Northern Illinois after finding International Imports in Tinley Park, IL. Visited the dealership on Tuesday July 31st, to see if Crosstrek’s were in stock. Met Ken Voogt, asked questions about the vehicle and was provided the Costco Auto Program price for the Crosstrek I saw. My intention was to research, compare, but not buy that day. Great SUV for a modest investment! I'm getting an average of 24 mpg and 28 on highway trips. The noise level is low and the comfort is high. I have almost 25000 miles and have not experienced any issues. Buy this car if you want value and reliability!

This is our second go round with IA Kia Motors...we already own an older Sorento and just purchased a 2017 Kia Optima. We looove both cars and the sales team was wonderful. This car met all of our needs. It has plenty of leg room, wide opening doors, back up camera and heated seats. It also has the least number of blind spots I've ever had in a vehicle. I also feel safer in my Forester then I have in any other car I've owned. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new car/small SUV.

Rich Munoz turned me over to Sergio who took the information regarding issues I was having with my 2012 Tiguan. I was having problems with the locking system and squeaky brakes. I asked him to go over fluids and tire pressure and within an hour or so he had checked everything and my car was ready to go. He was extremely courteous and provided excellent service. Only problem, I still have squeaky breaks! I will see if they get better.
