Why would anyone do business here?
Honesty and Integrity? Not at this Dealership. Caught the General Manager, Chad, in direct misrepresentations. Either he lied or he covered up for someone else. If dishonesty is used for relatively small things, how can I trust Vaughn Motors when spending Thousands? I have all the documentation to back up my claim of dishonesty. Vaughn is the perfect example of why Auto Dealers are mistrusted.

Its a total dumpster fire there and I would stay away. The person i spoke with, Hailey, was completely unprofessional and acted annoyed when i asked some basic questions. I wouldnt trust anything they say; they advertise a price of vehicle but really when you examine closer its misleading. Just my 2 cents. Hard pass.

We drove our car there for recall work. We received a call starting they could not start the car. They put in a new battery, they still could not start the car. They asked if we had another key for the car. We went to see why they could not get the car started as when we drove it there it started just fine. We found the middle console had been broken along with trim for the hood now sitting across the passanger side on the car. We were then told by a service worker, who was there when we drove in with the car, that the manager of his department did not believe him that we drove it there. He said he was told that we had to of had it towed there because they could not get it started. He assured them that my husband drove the car there and I had followed in my car to bring him back home. They refused to do the recall, which was why we drive it there in the first place. They refused to correct whatever they did to make it do that is doesn't start, they refused to fix the now broken console and they refused to fix the trim from the hood they broke off. Now we have to pay someone to tow it from their lot to bring it to someone else to fix everything they broke and see what happened with it not starting now. We would strongly recommend you take you car someplace else if you value your car and wish to have it returned to you in the same physical condition you took it there in, things not being broken off of your car.

TERRIBLE - Vaughn Automotive Cadillac in IOWA
We have been a Cadillac family for decades and currently have two Caddy’s in our garage not including the new one we just purchased. It appears that Vaughn Automotive Cadillac in Iowa has a significant amount of incompetent or lazy staff, with E-mails not returned by various staff, telephone calls not returned and an arrogant and lazy finance person. The only bright spot was a salesman, Jacob, who did a good job representing the dealership. We purchased and immediately wired 65K for a new Cadillac XT6 to Vaughn Automotive in Iowa and they held our monies hostage literally due to their incompetence for days. Vaughn staff sent paperwork to us, the customer, for a salvage title in the wrong State for a brand new Cadillac. Sweet! Financial data was wrong and their staffer was not interested in determining why when we informed them. He literally refused to figure out what was wrong. Customer finally took a portion of the money back and did title, tags, registration and paid taxes ourselves in our State. Dealer then inappropriately called our auto carrier in New York without our knowledge and canceled the pick up because they did not have their paperwork in order - even though they were fully paid and we had a new title in our State which was shocking. We paid the auto carrier and they placed us in default of our contact with the carrier. In the end, our financial numbers were correct and the dealership wrong as we informed them. As customers hundreds of miles away, we dealt by E-mail and documented all of the above, which is not all of the problems we had with Vaughn Automotive. We plan to contact Cadillac corporate. Vaughn has other on-line ratings similar to what we are submitting - and you had better believe it is was a disappointing and arrogant experience. We wish we had never heard of Vaughn Automotive in Iowa.

That's precious.

Worse customer service!
This place has the worse customer service and they clearly do NOT learn from previous reviews. We emailed on Friday to “Taylor” who told us the Yukon we wanted was available. We lived 2 hours away so we couldn’t come until Saturday. We called Saturday before leaving and were told it was still available. Taylor said a sales person would call us and she would put us down for an appointment. We arrived to only find out another salesmen had just taken a customer out for a test drive and they were negotiating a deal. Nobody bothered to called us and see how close we were when another customer showed up. Trevor (the sales person) dropped the ball and we will never consider buying from them again and do NOT recommend them.
