Run far far away!
I contacted them about a 2020 Tahoe on their website at approximately 3pm. Taylor responded at 3:30 with "This is Taylor with Vaughn Automotive. I see you have inquired about the 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe! This vehicle is currently available.", I thought this was about to be a great experience but I was wrong. She was slow to respond and kept skirting the questions I asked, but we eventually got to a place where I just called and asked for a buyers order so I could get a cashiers check from my bank. She let me know that she would have to have a salesperson contact me, wait....what?? Why have you been wasting my time if you cant help me? I eventually got a call from the salesperson at around 4:50 who asked me some basic questions to put the buyers order together all the while I'm rushing to get to the bank to get a cashiers check before my bank closes at 5. I explain to her that I am grabbing a check for the $48,000 and I live 2.5 hours away and they close at 7, Could they have someone wait 30 minutes until I arrive. As I am having the check cut for their asking price, she informs me that they can not wait for me to get there and they could hold the car for another day for me to come up there to pick it up. I tell them to go ahead and hold the car and I will call her back with a good day for me to pick it up. I no further get into my car from the bank parking lot she calls me back to let me know that the vehicle was SOLD 2 FREAKING DAYS AGO! Why in the xxxx did you idiots not figure this out before hand? Then to have the audacity to ask if there was another vehicle they may have available. This Dealership does not care about their customers or potential customers. I was a finance manager for a Dealership and if I had customers bringing a check and it was after closing guess what I did, that's right I waited for them to ensure that they got what they wanted and had a great buying experience. you know what else, we did not try to sell cars we did not have! If you have a chance to purchase from these people just save yourself the time and trouble and go to a reputable place because this is not that place!

Jason, Sorry your experience was not what it should have been. Your correct we should have realized right up front that another customer had committed to buying the Tahoe on Tuesday. They didn't take delivery until Thursday the same day you inquired about it. We will take your feedback and work to improve how we communicate internally when a vehicle is sold but not delivered. Again sorry for the frustration and good luck on your vehicle search. Josh VanNess
Great Place to Buy a Car!
Vaughn Automotive is one of the best dealerships from which I’ve ever bought a used car. The vehicle I ended up buying was accurately described in the advertising and my salesman, Walter, made sure that I got photos of the car and provided a very detailed explanation of everything I wanted to know about it. I test drove the car, got an appraisal of my trade-in, and made a deal. No drama, no “back and forth” haggling with managers, and everyone on the sales staff was very courteous and professional. I highly recommend Vaughn Automotive to anyone looking for a new or used car.

Unprofessional. Real unprofessional dealership. Looked ip on their website and saw some certain lucrative rebates. Called up the dealership asking hey I see certain rebates and can you confirm if those are applicable. The sales representative asked for a downloaded quite from their website to be sent over on his mail. After couple of calls handed over the call to another sales rep lady. She said reluctantly that yeah if it was applicable this morning. I dont see a reason why it shouldnt be valid now. I mentioned that I would be travelling down from Des Moines and I would be interested only if that lucrative rate is applocable. She insisted me to come down. However it was straight away denied. I was in awe that how unprofessional and rude people could be when even after repeatedlyme tio i g that I could spare the 2 hours drive if tbe rebate is nit applicable. Utter unprofessionalism.

Great Chevy Dealer!
I drove 95 miles to save $1700! I was met at the door and completed my paperwork in less than 30 minutes. My salesman Dean came in on his day off to meet with me. My local dealer told me to go to Vaughn's when they heard their price. Thank you!!!

For your finances and sanity avoid like the plague....
For your finances and sanity avoid like the plague. Bought a 2019 ram (new) they finance threw my regular credit union. I was concerned about the interest rate as I have excellent credit. I asked if the rates come down if I could refinance. They assured me I could (LIE). I had 3 recalls on truck. I called to set appointment, they told me they could get me in that day knowing the recalls. I left work drove hour and a half, sat for an hour only to be told they didn't have time to do it. They call me several weeks later, arrange an appointment for same recalls, I show up, half the day they have my truck then call me and tell me they dont have the parts to do the work. Now im on the 3rd time for the same stuff...6 hour job turned into day and a half, other bs things went on during this visit. I also had a screw in tire i asked them to fix. They called saying my truck had 4 punctures and I needed a $250 tire, I suspected they were lying. They put a new tire on and i requested they take it off. After picking up the truck i took it to a tire shop it had 1 puncture from the screw I told them about, nothing else. My truck was hit lightly..i took to them for an estimate mainly for sh@ts and giggles. They gave a quote of $2400 and had a full page of "needed parts" and all this "necessary labor" what they didnt know is I have a friend who does body work... I needed 3 parts. We went threw what vaughns was charging for parts 1 by one...a bumper for instance vaughns price-$600, rams price via internet-$400..and this is just one...not to mention all the other stuff the truck didnt need. Insurance fraud? Im thinking yes it probably is.

Jared, I am sorry our experience with our dealership was not what it should have been. If you are interested in refinancing your loan that would be up to your credit union. We can't refinance the loan at the dealership, sorry for the miss communication. If I can be of assistance in the future to help with our vehicle service needs let me know. Thanks, Josh VanNess
As I told you personally, Ill never do business with you again. The lady at your dealership who does the financing is the one who told me that after I asked her. She lied. I personally think I should be reimbursed for the work I missed and the inconvience I was caused due to your businesses incompetence. Ive seriously considered taking you to small claims court and also contacting the insurance company that you tried to defraud. Youre a horrible place to do business with
Good experience -- worth the drive from St. Louis
Saw a good price online for a very low mileage 2018 van. I was a little nervous about buying from a dealer about 300 miles away, but everything (the car and the pricing) was exactly as they said it would be. No drama and worth the drive for the deal. Recommend them.

Purchased 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD
We purchased our new 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD last week at Vaughn Automotive. We are from out-of-state and cannot say enough great things about our purchase experience. The price and vehicle were exactly as promised when we arrived. Jordan was our salesman and Sheri in finance were incredible and excellent to work with. We highly recommend Vaughn Automotive!

Purchased a certified used 2016 Corvette. Pricing was good and purchase process was easy. Jordan Rook was a pleasure to deal with. That is the good, here is the bad. The car was listed as a one owner vehicle, but Vauhn Chevrolet had already sold it once before as a certified used car. They certainly knew that it was not a one owner car. The worst thing though is the service department performed an oil change and underserviced the oil by 2+ quarts. The Corvette has 2 different oil systems depending on whether or not it has the Z51 package. It appears that they serviced the non Z51 7 quarts instead of the Z51 9.8 quarts. This is really unacceptable for a Chevrolet dealer and that is why I cannot recommend this dealership.

Scott, Thanks for your business and positive words about your shopping experience. We will review our process to make sure the correct number of owners is listed, your correct we sold the Corvette certified in May of 2019. After reviewing the service paperwork it states the correct oil quantity was used but if it was 3 quarts low obviously the wrong amount was used or something else is wrong. I want to make sure you check the oil level when the engine was warm and shut off. When the engine is cold or running it doesn't give an accurate reading. I'm sure you already research it but here is a post about check the oil level: These vehicles have a racetrack-ready dry sump engine lubrication system. This high performance system operates differently than a standard engine lubrication system and requires a special procedure when checking the engine oil level. Follow this procedure closely. The engine oil level must be checked when the engine is warm. Cold oil level in the dry sump tank may not indicate the actual amount of oil in the system. With this system, engine oil is contained in an external tank, separate from the engine. Under normal operating conditions, the oil pan under the engine does not store any oil. If the vehicle has been parked for an extended period without the engine being started, some oil will seep back into the oil pan, reducing the amount of oil held in the dry sump tank and there could be no engine oil at all showing on the dipstick. This is normal since the dipstick is designed to read the engine oil level only after the engine has run long enough to reach normal operating temperature. Do not add engine oil based on cold engine dipstick readings. The engine oil level on the dipstick will also be inaccurate if checked while the engine is running. 1. To obtain an accurate engine oil level reading, warm up the engine to at least 80°C (175°F). Cold oil will not give a correct oil level reading. 2. Once the engine is warm, turn off the engine. Checking the oil while the engine is running will result in an incorrect oil level reading. 3. Check the oil level between five and 10 minutes after the engine is shut down. 4. Remove the dipstick from the external engine oil tank and clean it with a lint-free paper towel or a cloth. Re-insert the dipstick into the external oil tank, pushing it all the way in until it stops. 5. Remove the dipstick from the oil tank and read the level on the cross-hatched area. If the oil is below the cross-hatched area at the tip of the dipstick, add 1 L (1 qt) of the recommended oil through the oil fill cap opening in the oil tank and then recheck the level.
