My new toy ?

I ordered the Mini Cooper . It seems like no one inspect the car prior to release. I was told that it needs the software update. So, this will be the first issue and long trip to dealership. I hope it would be the last too

Not very different from other car purchases

I got the car I wanted, so I did not need to be sold into it. The salesperson was like any other car salesperson, providing me the information I required in terms of pricing and interested in getting me to close the deal. Didn't offer to show me the car or explain anything about it. It was purely a transaction. That is the benefit of working with this brand I guess. Mini USA offers financing plans that are not offered through AutoNation. The salesperson could have been more upfront with that information, instead of repeatedly ignoring my question about a specific option. I was offered, as usual, the different options of prepaid services and insurances that dealers carry, which made the sales process a bit tedious and longer than ideal. A minor detail came up with one of the light frames and needed to be replaced. I emailed and texted the salesperson who sold me the car but never heard back from him. I ended up calling the dealer service department and got it fixed under warranty the day after, in about 45 min. The facilities are clean and nice, and the location is easy to get to. They also have the advantage of a limited number of dealers in the area, so for someone in the South Bay, this is the only Mini dealer (that I could recommend) in about 50 miles around. The car is new, so no experience to report about the service experience yet.

Great Service!

I always love coming here! I worked with Hector and he kept me informed on everything that was going on with my car, which services were and were not necessary, how much everything would cost, and how long I would wait. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and the waiting area facility is always a comfortable place to be.
