Unhappy experience

Ordered a 2024 JCW Clubman several months ago and went to purchase it in December. I dealt with a changing cast of characters over the months but couldn?t get any numbers set for the car or my trade in despite several requests. I was told I?d get a great deal. The purchase process took 5 hours? I was given a lowball offer for my trade and threatened to walk? got a bit more but still too low. The discount was nominal but I was given a $2000 rebate?however they tried to make me take $1500 in paint protection and services which largely negated the rebate. I finally got those removed and threw in the towel and left with the car. When I reviewed my paperwork the next day I discovered the rebate was missing, necessitating another round of back and forth. Not a happy camper and will never buy another car from stevens creek again.

Amazing experience by MINI of Stevens Creek

As it is my preference, the selection, and negotiation was all done over email/text. I was able to get the vehicle quickly. Area for improvement: Improve the signing process by making it digital. The credit application was online but still had to fill out multiple forms at the dealership. I didn't have to do any of it when getting my Tesla, so it is definitely possible.

First off, we are extremely happy with our 2024 Mini

First off, we are extremely happy with our 2024 Mini Cooper SE EV. It is a joy to drive and so much fun! The limited range of 114 is not an issue as this is a second car, and the furthest we will drive it is Monterey, CA. With so many charging stations and the Mini's ability to charge incredibly fast, it's a non-issue. Abdul and Valen's sales team were great. There was no sales pressure, and they were very helpful. They were always open to our questions and very patient. We would definitely recommend either one to go see when buying or leasing a new Mini. Now, the signing of the paperwork and financing was another issue. It wasn't bad, but it was the typical auto sales routine that you get when buying or leasing a new car. The amount of payment you finally agree on is not the one they want you to walk out with. There is a constant pressure to add additional services. We were adamant that we wanted to stay at the payment we agreed on, but we were being pressured to add more, making our payment higher than we were comfortable wanting to pay. If you truly want us to consider these services, bring them up front during the buying process. I think more people would seriously consider them and more than likely add one or two of them. But when you pressure at the last minute, right before you sign the paperwork, it puts a sour feeling in your mouth. Most consumers are knowledgeable and always willing to listen to the dealership but be honest and upfront. Stop using the high-pressure-at-the-last-minute technique. If it weren't for that, we would have given this entire experience 5 stars. But spending nearly an hour going back and forth over additional services was not fun. The car was definitely the star of the whole experience! Thank you, Abdul and Valen!

The service department did a check of my car; they said I

The service department did a check of my car; they said I needed a thermostat replacement and it would cost $3300. I found a great Mini mechanic who reviewed the problem, figured out that it needed something else, and it cost me less than $100.

The service advisor - Adrian was wonderful. He kept us apprised every step of the way. He went above and beyond in contacting our extended warranty carrier to get approval for work that needed to be done on our mini cooper.

Here's a crucial tip for potential customers: ask the sales person how many people are working finance on site *today* (the day you're there). If the answer is, "one," move along to another shop. Francisco, our sales contact, was respectful, cheerful, and efficient. The waiting area was clean and tidy -- a fact which I had ample time to appreciate. We had an appointment to come pick up the car at 1:00. We showed up at 1 and my wife took the car on a test drive. By 1:30 we were ready to sign papers and hand over a check. "There's another customer with the finance guy, so it'll be a while. Why not get some lunch?" We did. At 2:30, "there are just two customers ahead of you. Have a seat in the waiting area." My wife left me at the dealer because she had actual work to get done. By 5:30, various advisors were strolling past me, assuring me that I'd be up soon. This would have made me very nervous, if I were financing the purchase. My banks are not even in this time zone and there's no way they'd be taking new loan calls this far after hours. It was 7:30 when I finally drove off the lot. I walked in the shop ready to pay cash. I had configured and ordered the car months earlier. This was going to be the easiest commission and the smoothest deal they were going to see all day. This should have been a straightforward transaction, and it was, when it was actually being processed. The delay between, "Yep, that's the car I ordered," and, "Okay, here's your money," was inexcusable. If I had walked in to buy something off the lot, they'd not have seen me after, "Go get some lunch."

Mini provides excellent an excellent service department.

Mini provides excellent an excellent service department. Match this with the superb staff member Blake and you have an award winning department. My service advisor Blake has alway provided great communication skills with a one of a kind tailored experience. The videos through the service are a nice touch. This lets me know and see issues which I have none. Well outside of breaks and a nail in the tire. An I absolutely the streamline payment process. Though nobody likes a bill this is the right way of service.
