Purchase of a Lifetime

Most awesome purchase we ever made. No! absolutly no pressure from anyone. Our Sales lady, Valerie, was very well versed in customer service and very knowledgeable about not only Ford products but knew to take the extra steps without being prompted to make our purchase the purchase of a lifetime. For example, She took the extra step to set up a 5th wheel hitch person in case we needed it! I have never felt more at ease when making this purchase! The process was smooth, timely and most of all very well handled. The purchase process at Maxey Ford was one I have never dealt with before and frankly she nailed it! She handled everything except the warranty discussion in which Rick Goodlaski who we talked to was just as knowledgeable as she was! I can't emphasize enough the care and patience Maxey Ford had with us in making this purchase. They were not satisfied until all our questions, concerns, etc were answered and they treated you like you were human and not just another sale. Other Ford Dealers could learn from this Maxey Ford! Maxey Ford we will be back!!

Vibration...

Had a vibration on my 2016 from day one. At 6000 miles (at which point the truck was one year old BTW) took it in and a road force balance greatly improved the problem, enough that I wrote it off as a characteristic of an F350. Roll forward to May 2019 while doing an oil change I requested balance and rotate. Now we’re at about 15K miles BTW, so not a highly used or abused truck. I noticed nothing leaving Maxey and heading back to South Lyon...until the next morning when I went out and as I was getting on 96 I realized the steering wheel was not shaking but oscillating. It cleared up but still felt weird. On my return trip it happened again and I drove straight to Maxey, knowing there was a tire issue, and had them rotate the tires back. It took two additional visits to finally identify two “bad” tires - they would “balance” fine but their road force numbers indicated they would also put forces into the chassis which when the tires phased together, since corners cause one to roll farther than the other, the vibration was irritating. I don’t think the tech got it at first but Jim took the time to drive some extra time and once he felt it the problem was going to be solved! As I write this I’m 400 miles into a drive to Florida with a loaded 24’ trailer, which I have done twice this year prior to the repair, and the truck is smooth! Thanks Jim and company for getting to the bottom of it!

Ask for Scott!

We love working with Scott. We don’t get the pushy feeling of trying to up-sell us like we have at other dealerships. We also had our young children there and they were so accommodating, it really was so considerate. They worked with us to trade in a lease early and made the process so easy.

Happy Customer

I was looking for a 2018 Taurus. I went to a lot of dealership looking. When i went to Bob Maxey Ford of Howell, i found just what i was looking for. i had a great sales person Mitchell Glapa, very friendly and worked very hard to get me the car i wanted. Outstanding job from everyone. Very pleased and will be a return customer.

Service on my car (The Works)

Everyone in the service department who have waited on me have been great and Paul is a great Salesman. He has sold me two cars and I have been very pleased.

Just in time

I was preparing to leave town and my "check charging station" light came on. I was able to get the car diagnosed and then fixed by the end of the next day. I was able to leave as planned.

Lincoln MKZ

Had the WORKS done. It was done timely and everything was described as perfect. Two days later the AC quit. The car has less than 40,000 miles so AC quitting surprised me, especially after being described as perfect. I do not blame Maxey but timing looked bad. Maxey is easy to deal with. Unless a dealer is head and shoulders above the competition I make no recommendations which is why I put no on would I recommend Maxey. I wouldn't tell anyone not to use Maxey.

trust

We trust this dealer with both sales and service. They are honest and fair. We have a dealer that is closer but we can`t trust them, we found this out the had way!

Lack of detail in service

Bought a new escape & they gave us a free oil change...i guess that doesnt include resetting the oil change moniter on the computer. Idiots. If i gotta reset it myself, i will change it myself too. Thanks for nothing.
