THESE GUYS GIVE USED CAR DEALERS A BAD NAME - EXPECT TO PAY $8000 OVER WHAT THEY SAY IS THE PRICE!!!!! My wife and I flew 500 miles to buy an S-class Mercedes here. We had sent a $500 REFUNDABLE deposit to be sure it would be there when we arrived. The car had more wear than we wanted, but we looked at the other cars they had and finally found one that we wanted to buy. When we went into the office to close the deal, they suddenly added almost $8000 to the price with 'fees'. The original price they asked was a good price, which according to the internet had a decent profit for them, but when they added $8000 to the deal, that killed it. Their 'closer' showed us the price they supposedly paid (less than their asking price) and it was well over the 'dealer' price on Edmunds. In addition to all this, they tried to keep our refundable deposit - it took some effort to get our money back.

Scam alert!
This dealer does not mean what they say. Online prices are just a lure to get you in. Then they tell you there’s a $6000 ‘certification’ fee. Most of the positive adds appear to be fake - written by the dealer themselves. Don’t waste your time here.

They are scammers.
They are scammers. They raised the price of a car and said nothing to be sneaky. Very disappointed. Don’t waste your time with these people

Unethical Car Salesmen Living the Stereotype
They advertised a car online for $29,999. I checked with them that they still had the car (per the internet, it had been there six months). They did and I agreed to come test drive it. When I arrived the state inspection sticker had expired in 2022 (I think it said November, but not positive) and the passenger window didn't operate. This was after they bragged that all their cars had a 160-point inspection. However, the reason for a one-star review is that when I still expressed interest in buying the vehicle, their negotiation started at $38k before we even discussed optional warranties. I said your website said $29999 plus a $500 dealer fee and tax, tag, and title. But they had more fees built in. I got up and left - I don't know if they would have gone down to what they advertised or not, I refuse to give such unethical people my money.

This was easily the best car dealership I’ve been to in
This was easily the best car dealership I’ve been to in my life. The customer service was amazing, Walter especially. They took the time to break down and explain everything to us. No hassling, no smooth talking. Gave us the truth and nothing but. They weren’t just there to sell a car. They truly wanted to give us a good deal and make sure we left satisfied. Next time I want/need a car I won’t even go to another dealership, and if you’re looking to buy a car, go to Merlex auto group. I promise you won’t regret it, and you will leave very satisfied with everything.

Bait & Switch. Nothing more to say!
A typical Bait & Switch. I got financed pre-qualified through the dealership. Within an hour, I was informed the white Range Rover was sold and asked for other vehicles.

Salesmen lost the sale this time
I went there to check a car out that I had talked to the owner over the phone with earlier. I told him I’m 1hr and 30min away so we set an appointment time accordingly. I texted them I was there, and looked around at the car of interest and others as the one nice gentleman in this equation said the guy I talked to over the phone was busy but he’d be with me soon. The car was surrounded by other cars with one car in front of it. If you moved that one car, there was a big open space where you could actually open the car doors and not have to crack them open. From what I could see from the outside the car seems to had ashes on the dashboard and atleast one smoking burn on the drivers pillar. Plus a few other things. I asked the guys when they came to pull the car out so I could have a look. They basically told me that I could look at the car where it was. At the same time wanted to run my credit first. I don’t even know if I want this car and you want to run my score smh. I insisted he pull the car out. He then opened the door realizing that the car would have to be moved to the open space because of the tight fit. It’s a very small lot and he disappeared forever going to get the key to the other car. I finally said forget it. But thought I’d atleast tell them I was leaving. After searching for the guy we meet at the building doorway. I told him I didn’t want the car and found another place instead. He really had an attitude then. Yep I had time to search, find, and talk to another dealer before he came back with the keys to move a car he didn’t want to move in the first place. When I buy cars the car has to sell itself to me. The salesmen play a part also. I drove 1hr 30min to not even check out the car that I drove there for because they didn’t want to move two cars. Big red flag but I’m satisfied taking my business else where and got a great deal from a manufacturer dealer.
