  • Two Words, "Highway Star"

This car is the most comfortable car I have ever owned! Stunning lines.... mine is the Crimson Red. Fast as stink. You need to keep the anti-freeze changed every second year. Change the oil frequently, to keep it around for years to come. Can be tough to own, if you don't understand Cadillacs. For example: The Northstar inherently uses oil. Mine is registered as an Antique! Stunning! To look at and ride in.

  • Stunning automobile! If maintained correctly.

I have owned my second 1997 Eldo base for 12 years. I did the radiator and rear brakes and the tires in that time. Car is also impeccably kept. Always serviced on time and oil checked frequently, Along with the Anti-freeze, very important. To prevent head bolt corrosion.as the NorthStar is designed to use oil. It is a race motor, with lose fitting rings. Maintained, the Northstar is immune to wearing out. I have seen them with over 300 k on them. Still going strong. I was a Cadillac service adviser for 18 years. Last of the great highway cruisers, for certain. Car is like driving in your living room.

  • Very well taken care of (clean).

I've always liked the style of 90's Eldorado automobile. The gas mileage is good for a V8, comfortable and smooth driving. It's a real pleasure to drive.

  • awesome car!

This was my first car after having 3 big 4x4 trucks before it. I didn't want a small car after being used to trucks but needed something that got better gas mileage. I found my 97 red Eldorado about a year ago with 117,000 miles and have about 123,000 on it now and I must say that this thing is a beast! gets about 16-18 in the city and suprizingly I actually get 31 mpg on the highway in this. I get a lot of staring and people rolling down their windows to compliment the car. For such an old car with quite a few miles on it, it runs great! the only negative that I would have to say is that replacing the starter is a pain in the butt! Took hours because it was located underneath the intake so I had to take all that apart before even getting to the starter! Overall I love the car especially on long trips!
