Most reliable car I owned

This car met all that I wanted & needed. My daughter has one and I liked it. I would have liked a newer one but couldn’t afford it. This had low mileage and I only use it for pleasure.

Nice small SUV

The Escape is a fun car to drive and comfortable for long trips. My only concerns are the small gas tank coupled with the poor mpg means you have to fill up often and the 1.6 liter engine runs hot when pulling a long mountain grade or carrying a lot of luggage. Would prefer if it had a V-6 option. The older model Escape with the V-6 did just as well if not a little better on mpg. I worry if the 1.6 will last for 100,000 miles.

Was there one engineering boo boo

We bought a new 2013 Escape for my wife. Since it was a second car we didn't think it was necessary to buy anything but the basic car assuming it would provide all we needed. It came with a backup camera and SIX levels of heated seats. What was missing. Heated side view mirrors. How could Ford go overboard on creature comfort and miss one very important safety feature. Disappointing

BIGGEST mistake I ever made

engine coolant keeps linking- engine light keeps coming on. Heat does not work properly- heat only on start up then blows air, poor performance overall

Great SUV

It has been an amazing car no problems. Plenty of power for what it is. It also does pretty good on gas. It’s been a great little family car for a small family. No problems whatsoever.

2013 not a great year for this car

This car had a lot of mechanical issues, and I'm guess it's because this was the first year for this design. I would recommend getting at least a year before or after 2013 for this model, just to try and avoid these issues.

Will buy another one

I?m 6?5? and actually have my seat moved up in this car (it?s my wife?s). The gas mileage is great and has tons of room inside to fit whatever we need.
