Most sturdy car

This car is excellent for someone tall. I am 6'2" and my line of sight is perfect. It is hard for me to find a vehicle I fit in and this one is perfect.

an excellent vehicle to own

I was in need of a reliable vehicle that wouldn't break the bank. I saw this Escape used on the lot and really liked the styling--plus the ginger ale metallic paint was cool. For a large man, there is plenty of room for driving, seats are comfortable, the ride is smooth, and the ecoboost makes you think that you are driving a V6. Gas mileage is great. Like most cars these days, the leg room in the backseat can be limited, especially when the driver has the seat back, but can be worked around. The cargo space is decent as well. I recently had a 20 hour road trip with 5 people and all of their luggage, and we made it just fine.

Ford Escape : Not too Shabby !

I was looking for a Ford Escape just because of the design aspect of it. Then I took it for a test drive and it was a better experience than expected .

Love it Despite Quirks

This is a wonderful car. It's sleek and zippy, I love the gas mileage that it gets while still being able to zoom along with just a turbo-boosted 4-cylinder. The interior is decently roomy for a mid-size SUV and cozy enough for long road trips, and I love that Ford managed to cram 8 cup holders in little secret spaces throughout the car. I also love the hidden compartments and the storage spaces and the modern interior design, especially the wings on the dashboard. Really, the only fault I find with the interior design is that the air vents are awkwardly placed and it's a fight to get even one of them to point directly at me when I need air on a hot day. As for the reliability, as I bought one of the first models to be released of this body style, there were several quirks that had to be worked out and still are coming up here and there, but it has been nothing that made me think any less of the vehicle - just your normal new body style bugs. Ford has also been great about having them all fixed without issue. Overall, I have loved this car and will happily replace it with another Escape if anything ever happened to it. Especially after having the pleasure of driving a new 2017 Escape of the same trim level when mine was having regular maintenance done - they've made a lot of improvements in that short amount of time!

Reliable vehicle

I like my Escape. It's reliable and functional. The fold down seats are convenient. Not sure about the 4WD as I haven't had to use it. Obviously not good on ice. Passenger seating could be more comfortable.

xx eng. Light often & trans. bad at 76k.

The car has been a disgust since the day after purchased. It's stylish. Only notified of one recall (June 2017) but just learned that there have been numerous. Also just learned (via internet) about petition and buy back. Please take this burden from me. Do the right thing and buy them all back. Was just informed this week (June 19, 2017) that I need a transmission.

Great crossover SUV. Not too big and not too small

I have the SEL model. I love the upgraded features like leather interior and heated seats. There are a few things that are annoying such as the inability to use front and rear cabin lights separately. I wish it had better gas mileage but the turbo (a handy feature) does not help with MPG. It's a great car overall for the money.

So in Love with this Car!

I love my 2013 Escape - it is sporty and practical. I hesitated trading in my Ford Freestar I loved all of the room. But I am finding that I don't miss it and I love the clean lines of the Escape. The gas mileage is wonderful and I love the color - Frosted Glass - everyone has blue, gray or black and I stand out!
