This is our 2nd Escape

This is a new redesigned Escape and it did not disappoint. Fun to drive and better sight lines. The SEL trim package has everything we wanted at a good price. We ordered it with the 2.0 which is a great engine.

Great small family suv

Only complaint is my 2018 escape se has auto dimming rear view mirror and dual climate control. My new 2020 escape SEL does not have auto dimming rear view mirror or dual climate control. I don’t understand.

My first SUV

Never thought I'd ever own an SUV until I saw the new Escape. Other than the higher seating position, it feels just like a sedan. I'd had two Fusions and was admittedly heartbroken when Ford announced they would no longer produce sedans. It took one test drive in the Escape to get me over it. The Escape is comfortable, roomy and fun to drive. The Escape is a worthy competitor against other compact crossovers.

Current car

Car suits my needs with one exception. Since I am short it is rather difficult getting in and out of it. Suppose that's because it is a SUV

Ok car but the dealership wouldn't deal

This was one of 7 cars I drove while researching the purchase of a compact SUV. This car was fairly good but it wasn't worth the price I could get from the dealer. The fit and finish were better than average. The interior design was well thought out and well executed but it seemed a little "compartmentalized." The ride was the third best of the 7 I tried. The exterior styling is attractive. The performance was good but the fuel efficiency is disappointing.

Tires Provide Poor Traction in the Snow

Just spend 2 days slipping and sliding in the snow with my brand new 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid AWD. Ford sells the car in Colorado with tires that are rated fair to poor for driving in the snow. Why bother buying an AWD?

Hard to get past the Cheap interior plastic bits

Current owner of the stylish 2013 Escape Titanium and it has worn well over the years. I consider this to be their best design as all of the subsequent face-lifts/redesigns are horrendously bland. Although, hands down, the worse part of this new generation is the cheap interior finishes even in the top Titanium trim. So much hard plastic. Especially in the door area. It's sad when a lower cost Kia has a much nicer interior and attractive exterior styling. I hope the next model year will address this.

Best car I've had

Extremely happy with the roominess of the car leg room in the back seat for adults, gas mileage is great, the interior lighting is exceptional.

Excellent small SUV with great capability

This car meets all of my needs in the small SUV category - very reliable, pleasant to drive with no major drawbacks in the hybrid model. Nicely sized and we'll redesigned for 2020. Very nice, comfortable interior options with the Titanium package. A great option for getting back in the SUV category, with nice hybrid gas mileage added on. Fun to discover/drive so far!
