Performance
Fantastic truck and very proud to be a Ford Truck owner. One can clearly see this is a very reliable truck by looking at how many of the F150's from the 70's are still out on the road doing what they do best - Taking a beating like a real man! I love my truck and it drives like a real truck. I own the F150 Platinum and at every stop light and as other vehicles pass, my vehicle is recognize and acknowledged with a respectable complimented look or glare. The only issue I have is when people buy trucks, why do they go threw all that trouble to buy one with only two wheel drive? Four wheel drive should be standard on all real trucks like mine.

Rep truck
I purchased my new Ford f-150 Lariat with the Ecoboost engine in July of 2011. I just parted with my old friend a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab with 182,000 of many highway miles. The Chevy was nothing fancy but as many men do they love their truck. I cover many miles in Illinois and I have found a truck with a crew cab is the way to go. I usually install an aftermarket topper so all the noise from cargo can stay in back. The F-150 was for me a difficult decision. I had always been a Chevy man but after looking at the new Fords I had a hard time saying no. The Lariat package is a dream and I can't say enough about the Ecoboost engine. I haul a 21 foot bass boat on the weekends and would never know it was back there if it wasn't for the excellent view ability you receive from the Fords mirrors. The review camera is the bomb for hooking up a trailer. You only have to get out of your truck once to hook it up. Gas mileage is no where near 22 mpg. I am not saying I drive fast but its so easy to with that turbo twin engine. I average about 17 highway. The interior is almost too big. I am 6'2" and there is still plenty of room for a buddy of mine at 6'5" to sit behind me. The interior is well thought out and the fold up back seats provide ample space for interior storage. Bluetooth and Sync work well and my wife has never complained about not being able to hear me on "speaker". That's a first! I bought the truck new and in three in a half months have over 15 thousand miles on it! Looks like I have a new love for a FORD!

"Sweet Truck!" - heard often
I bought the 2011 F-150 crew cab XLT in race red with silver accent and the chrome & towing package about 4 months ago and have put about 6k miles on it now. I love this truck. I get almost as many compliments on this as I did my 2006 Dodge Daytona Charger in TorRed. The 5.0 V8 has rip-snorting power whether going from 0-60, or jumping to "passing speeds", or when pulling my 5,500lb camper. I have been very impressed. I love that my seats have a wrap-around support for my lovehandles, and I love the Sync when dialing up my favorite playlist or phoning home. I also love that there is so much leg room in the back seats, my 6'3" cousin sat very comfortably back there. Finally, I am very satisfied in that I am averaging 18 mpg and top out around 21 mpg for highway trips, (in a truck!). I plan to keep this rig for a long time.

2011 Raptor SuperCrew - Worth the wait!
Took delivery of my Black 2011 F-150 Raptor SuperCrew. This truck is everything it is cracked up to be. Performance: For a 6,000 pound truck, it is respectable. I gave it only 4 stars, as I think it needs another 75-100 hp [which I will be correcting]. The ride on-road is incredible, and off-road - well, everyone knows about what it can do there. Exterior: Best looking truck on the road. I get tons of questions and looks - every day. Interior: Great seats, ergonomics, gauges, controls. The back seat is cavernous - adults fit comfortably. Value: I think $50k+ for any truck is a lot of money, but it has a ton of features so I gave it 4 stars here. Overall: Great vehicle that I drive nearly every to work, for groceries, kid hauling, or just fun.

Drive one! 2011 Edition
I named my review "2011 edition" because I bought a 2010 F-150 last year and reviewed it on cars.com as well. Unfortunately I had to get rid of my 2010 because of the current job that I had was cutting my hours so I had to sell it. I have a much better job now and purchased a 2011 Supercrew XLT Texas Edition on October 15th. I know it has just been a few days but I am already in love with something that weighs over 5,000lbs and I cannot be happier! I has a little over 100 miles now and I make any excuse to go out and drive it. I have had a few F-150's and keep buying them because no other truck comes close to how these trucks ride. They feel like riding on a cloud! I did buy the 3.7 V6 because of the rising fuel prices. I have to say its no power house but like the old 4.6 motor, it gets the job done. Horsepower is good and gets you moving about 4.000rpms and like some other people have said they do let it scream to 7000rpm redline before it shifts if you punch it. (I punched one that i didnt buy lol) I wouldn't hook a 7,000lb trailer to it but it seems like it would tow a small boat or a camper just fine. The ride on the road does not feel like a truck it feels so refined and does not feel like a 5,000+ vehicle. If you are looking for the best and want to surpass the rest, look no further than the F-150.

Very impressed...wow!!!
Bought the xlt supercrew race red with the chrome and towing pacakge. This truck has the ecoboost V6 engine in it and everything they said in the torture test video is true. The raw power of this engine is amazing on all ranges of rpm's. Mileage is great up to 20-25 MPG in highway, around 14-15 in city. Touch the accelerator and jumps like a sports car. The supercharges create the msot torque for the class and has 365hp which is better than the V8 360hp. Mine also has Microsoft Sync that provides a great service with navigation, news, weather and blue tooth connection to your phone apps like Pandora and Slacker. I would recommend!!!

Very good value
This is my first Ford pickup....ever. Since 1985 I have only owned Chevrolet and GMC and was, for the most part, satisfied. I liked the styling of the Ford and, after the GM bailout, looked more seriously at it. The interior is almost comparable, the exterior attractive, although the box could be better looking, but, overall, I felt it was a better truck, especially with the new engine and transmission. After five months, I know that is the case. I've never had second thoughts about my decision and am glad I made the purchase of my regular cab XLT.

Impressive
After driving a few 2009's and 2010's I was ok with the thought of getting an F150 with a 5.4L. After test driving a 2011 with the 5.0L, I had to have this truck. The power this new 5.0L showes is at the very least impressive to me. And for the power it showes I was also impressed with the gas mileage. The comfort and ease of driving this truck make it a total pleasure to drive.

Tough yet Civilized
I bought my truck in late March 2011 and have driven it both highway and city up until now, putting approximately 3300 miles on it so far. When I bought the truck I test drove both the F-150 and the Silverado because I wanted to buy American. However, eliminated Dodge due to past reliability issues with them. In comparison with the Chevy the Ford felt smoother, more refined and more well-built with tighter body panel seams and higher quality materials. The only aspect the Chevy beat the Ford in was the shifting of the trannys. The 5.0 liter in the Ford was significantly more powerful than Chevy's 5.3, the Ford's ride was much smoother and both its handling and braking were much more responsive. All of that information led me to purchase a 2011 F-150 crew cab XLT in race red with silver accent and the chrome & towing package. Through the 6 months I've owned the vehicle I have absolutely no complaints with it. It has had to go back to the dealer one time but that was only for the transmission to be reprogrammed due to hard shifts between 1st & 2nd gear (in both directions). It has been reliable, functional for my family of 5 with the large rear seat and fun to own. My kids with a booster seat and 2 full-size car seat fit comfortably across the rear seat and my 6 yr. old can't even reach the back of the front seat with his feet if he tries. The front seating position is awesome and makes it very comfortable for short & long rides. The power from the 5.0 is more than enough for me and it's delivered very smoothly throughout the RPM range. The brakes are easy to the touch with my only problem being that they're are sometimes too sensitive at low speeds making it hard to engage in smooth stops. There's quite a bit of lean in cornering but that is expected with a truck and not enough to make the ride unenjoyable. As for gas mileage, I've averaged about 19 on the highway, which is the manufacturers stated mileage and 13.5 in actual city, stop & go traffic. That is better than the Envoy my F-150 replaced and my Honda Odyssey minivan. I couldn't be happier with the gas mileage thus far. I haven't had any occasion to tow/haul or use the 4x4 system so I can't comment on those yet, but this truck is simply the best designed & built vehicle I've ever owned. I can only hope the upcoming years match my current experience. In closing, I'd say my only cons are that the tranny sometimes shifts rough in lower gears and that the truck is so polished that it takes away some of the expected fun in owning a pick-up truck. I'd hardly call those reasons to avoid owning one though. Good luck to anyone considering the F-150. I think you'll like what you find.

2011 F-150 FX4 Supercab 5.0L Review.
Hey all in June I purchased a 2011 Ford F-150 FX4 Supercab with the new 5.0L V8 and this is my review. (The Truck) 2011 F-150 FX4 Supercab 5.0L Blue Flame FX-Plus package MSRP 38,889$ (The Power/Drivetrain) The 5.0L V8 and 6-speed automatic work very well together, nothing short of amazing acutally. As of 2011 Ford offers 4 brand new engines to motivate the F-150 with. The 5.0L was my choice. The 5.0L is rated at 360hp and 380lb/ft of torque and beleive me, You can feel every single one of them. In the lower RPMS the 5.0L feels down right punchy and makes my near 3-ton 4WD pickup feel like a much lighter vehicle. The 5.0L makes the F-150 suprisingly fast...I find that if I don't use my cruise control on the highway I tend to catch myself speeding without realizing it. The 6-Speed automatic works like charm, Its always in the right gear and with the awesome power the 5.0L puts out most people will find that there is rarely ever a need to downshift. My only complaint against the 6-speed auto is that sometimes when driving at lower speeds (I.E Parking Lots) It someitmes holds first gear longer than I feel like it should and when it does this it sometimes shifts a little jerky from 1st to 2nd when it does eventually shift. Other than that, shift logic is excellent. Gas mileage has actually been quite good all things considered. Rated at 14/19mpg some might be a little disapointed in those numbers...But I'm here to tell you they can be beat...I've been getting an avarage of 17 city and 22.5 highway. 19 combind. Very impressive for a 360hp 5500lb 4WD truck. (The Interior) As of 2004 Ford made Interiors top billings for the F-150...And the 2011 is no excuse. For 2011 the Interiors recived a minor refreash from the outgoing 2009/2010 model F-150's. The refreash is nice the ICE blue gauges and dials are a very nice touch and more pleasing on the eye than the standerd BLAND GREEN that has been the norm in cars for the past 25 years. (The Exterior) Not much has changed...My FX4 has darkened headlights...A feature not found on 2009/2010 FX4's. The 18 inch wheels are a new style which I find quite attractive. One thing worth noting here is the ride hight...This truck sits almost 7 feet tall. It overshadows me and I stand a realtivly tall 6 feet 2 inches. I did not opt for running boards as I have no need for them. But my 65 year old 5 foot 2 inch grandma is only capable of getting in the truck with a step stool. I've noticed that people shorter than 5,5 or so tend to complain about it being a little to tall. Food for thought. (On Road) The big doors close like a vault around you...This truck is amazingly quite weather you are sitting still at a redlight or moving down the highway at 75mph, The wind and road noise are always kept at a very minimum. The new Electric steering is very light but has a good feel to it. It adjusts itself in accordance to you're speed so on the highway it gets a little heavier than going 30 or 40mph from redlight to redlight. The seats are good and firm...They will bolster a driver of any resonable size very well. My only complaint about the seats is the cloth used for them. It seems a little thin...Though its not showing any signs of wear I still intend to get seat covers for the truck. Some people complain that these new F-150's have sort of a jiggly suspension...I've yet to notice this in my truck. (Off Road) Haven't done any serious offroading in the truck and I probably wont in the future because I plan to make this truck last and own it for a long time. But I did however test out my 4WD system. I found a steep hill that was littered with loose gravel and small to medium ruts. This served as my test. I started up the hill slowly in 2WD until I lost traction. I stopped for a moment and shifted into 4WD high (No Diff Lock) and continued up the hill...I realized that even though this hill felt pretty extream there was no need for 4WD low or the diff lock here. In 4WD high with an unlocked rear axle and only a tad bit of throttle the truck simply climbed right up the hill with very little wheel slip. (Final Thoughts) I've never been so happy with a vehicle. The Power, The Comfort...Everything comes together to make this truck truely stellar and a champ amongst 1/2 ton trucks.
