Love the exterior style
My teenager says it is the best looking car or truck on the road. It is an F-150 FX4 Off Road. NICE!

Best new truck available
Traded a 2004 for this new 2011. Went from the 4.6L V8 to the 3.7L V6. The 3.7 has better pick-up, fuel economy, and overall a better ride. 20.4 mpg first 1000 miles.

Love my truck
Better gas mileage than I expected. Great truck to travel in. Only negative is the cup holders on the XLT. They are too close together on the center console. Other than that the interior is great.

2011 Ford 4x2 SCREW Platinum Ecoboost
After much debate, research and many drive tests, I purchased the vehicle new and have put approximately 1700 miles on it. Fit, finish, ride quality (a little rough, as vehicle has Max Trailer Package), noise, comfort and power are excellent. This vehicle replaced my 2005 5.4L SCREW 4x2. While I miss the exhaust note from the Banks Monster Exhaust on the old truck, the performance of the new Ford is superior in every regard. The electronics (Sony Navigation and Synch) are very user friendly and provide a variety of options, security and sound quality for the traveler. My wife has a 2010 Lexus ES 350 and confirms the Ford electronics are superior in terms of ease and intuitiveness of use, features, voice command accuracy and information/visual output. On a recent family vacation we easily used and enjoyed most system features including; Navigation with several different destinations, Syrius Travel Link's Traffic and Weather features and IPOD/Thumb drive podcast/music through the Synch system. After putting approximately 1700 unloaded miles on this vehicle, my initial driving impressions are very favorable. On a recent family vacation to San Diego (round trip Las Vegas to San Diego, 4 adults, quite a bit of luggage in the bed), I had an opportunity to spend some time with the truck. The Electric Power Steering is excellent and to me a very nice upgrade from the traditional hydraulic systems that truck owners are familiar with. The speed sensitive nature of the system is well calibrated and noticeable (in a nice way). The performance of the 6 speed transmission is both smooth and firm/direct. Handling is excellent, with minimal lean in cornering for a vehicle of this size (some may consider it a little too firm due to the Max Trailer tow package on this vehicle) that provides accurate feel of the road. Being an old school V8 lover and the previous owner of several half ton V8 trucks used for both towing and daily driving, deciding between the 5.0L and the Ecoboost was difficult. A tip of the hat to Ford for offering such strong options across their 2011 engine line-up. My initial thoughts on the Ecoboost are positive. The torque is very noticeable both at slightly increased (smooth acceleration) and full throttle (snaps your head). On a recent round trip (Las Vegas to Sand Diego) on I-15, the engine easily cleared all of the steep grades (Cajon, etc) while not requiring any downshifting both to maintain speed and to easily pass slower vehicles. The ability to access strong torque an accelerate without high RPM's strongly contributed to decent fuel consumption for the trip. The vehicle averaged 20.7 MPG for the round trip (as measured by the dashboard computer), something my 2005 truck could not replicate. I have provided a 4 star rating for Value for the Money for 2 reasons. First, while I appreciate and enjoy the broad array of features in the Platinum package, I am not convinced of its high value for the dollar and may not be right for most users. Second, while the torque and unloaded MPG performance of the Ecoboost are very strong and Ford's Torture testing of the engine is extensive, the Ecoboost and its associated premium price needs to prove its durability in the vehicle located in my driveway. The Ecoboost is off to a strong start, however, only time and mileage will tell!

Rockin' in Style with Power to spare!
Ford has steadily built on their reputation with the F150 over the years, but I'm afraid they may not be able to top this one. With the coming Federal regulations pushing for smaller, lighter and higher miles per gallon, this may be the last generation of full size, full power pickups. I'm glad I didn't wait any longer. This is my 4th F150 and I couldn't be happier. It's like driving a spaceship compared to my '99 I traded in.

previously owned 2010 f150 and six speed transmission a bust traded it for a 2011 f150 with new manual/auto tranny and the new tranny is great but the new electric steering is definetly a step back . hard to put finger on problem but just does not drive near as well ford had the perfect truck in 2008 but they just cannot leave well enough alone.

A real big disappointment up to now!
I have about 1000 miles on my F-150 Lariat 4x4 crew cab and i kept waiting on it to loosen up. Right now you could run over a dime and tell if it's heads or tails. It rides like a road wagon, ROUGH, ROUGH, ROUGH. The supension set up must be all wrong, I just don't know. Tried to talk to Ford experts online and they wanted $18.00 for and opinion. Any FREE advice would certainly be welcome.

best truck ever
i own a 2010 fx4 supercrew with max tow. I tow a 30ft Jayco Jayflight. With our old truck(2006 f1504x4) i was getting 11mpg.With our 2010 we are getting 16 mpg. the 6 speed trans is amazing. more room in interior, more power, smooth ride. What more could you ask for. I can't wait to try the new F150 with the 6.2 motor in it.
